RIP a Great Son of The Gambia! DK Jawara, your legacy lives on Sir. We will never forget. Lady Chilel is a great lady too and I’m sure she’s got more than a 100 namesakes.
Jawara and his government wasn't perfect in no means, but he did his best for the Gambia. A small nation under 1 million at the time, without any natural resources. There is no way he could have pull The Gambia out of poverty and most gambians didn't have the know and if they where sent abroad to specialize in various fields. They did a runner for there own selfish reason. You have to look at all the factors in play. At least Most gambian where much happy in there households back then. We are going back to happy day. Instead of the brain drain with 3000+ young Gambians going back to Europe. Thanks to Mr no name. That is something we will not recover for as a nation any time soon.
Sir Dawda Jawara was a good, humble and honest leader. He overstayed and did not do much to take small Gambia out of the stone ages. Banjul can be remembered for it’s dirtiness and “potty Kamas” way into the late eighties. Jawara gave the rise to Jammeh so unfortunately anyone who stands and defends truth cannot idolize him. He was not pan-African and had watched his people and his country crumble in despair. So we welcomed Jammeh’s coup not knowing a devil was being created. I adore Jawara for his humility and peace. I have no love for his neglect of Gambia and it’s people. I wish him peace in his old age. May we always remember Allah in our statements and our deeds.
Very unprofessional and unethical. That is not how you talk to someone of his age. He is almost confused wondering what is going around him. Next time you should sit beside him and talk to him in a calm way so he can be part of the discussion. A manager of a TV station!!!
Oh Gosh. This representative got on my nerves for real. This is definitely not how you approach elderly. Listen and give him the time to answer. Also she is too loud. Stay calm lady
Gibril badjie.....You brought your stupidity here too...he is our father of our great nation..this man don’t stole out country wealth just like greedy jammeh having more than 180 landed properties and killing our innocent citizens like rats
Maa Shaa' Allah It's a great blessing to have a very kind and generous wife... Sir Dawda was an icon for peace and democracy, may Allah Azawajall bestow more of his blessings upon him and his family... Allahouma Ameen..
It's such a blessing to have been in a presidential seat, yet still stay and enjoy your country with no trial or being exiled afterwards. That in it's self is priceless
Only the truth can set us right. They were against particular groups no school. No television and no Ministery post for Jolas like the present government doing . May black man soul shawer holy water. Yahya the best .
Gibril Badjie... Dude Do you have any credible evidence to support your claims. Your way off the mark here. Gambia is a poor country and it is even more poorer, thanks to that clown you think was a God gift to Gambia. Your beef in regards to fair representation. People are chosen based on their qualifications not there tribe, genders or religious affiliations. You need to do your home work. Just so you know Your mate it's coming back anytime soon.
Sir Dawda, you have left us but you will never be forgotten. You will always remain in our hearts and prayers inshaallah. May Allaah have mercy on his gentle soul and grant him janatul firdawsi with all the departed souls Ameen.

Good job Fatou
The lady doing the interview could have been more courteous and better prepared for the interview.nevertheless she will learn too from the experience.
Omg if she says “ I read your book” one more time? I will scream... . So rude to stand and talk to him? No etiquette at all.
