I have a mud loving dog as well lol. Partridge berries grow great in cutovers near tree stumps I find the best spot. I usually wait until after the first frost, I love them jammed with no additives, some find them too tart like that but despite my sweet tooth I like the tartness in them. Blueberries are normally in abundance here in central but not this year, probably the worse I've seen in years, meanwhile the west coast had lots, but I have found that often one area has abundance and other none , will depend on the weather often , last year I heard that in the Springdale area it was a very cold period when the Blueberries flowered and the bees weren'tout to pollination makes sense . Recipes are nothing but guidelines lol. That looked like a great muffin recipe, its pretty much the one I use, except I haven't added the pumpkin seeds, looked absolutely delicious. As usual found for video educational and relaxing. Hope you have an awesome weekend
lol Thank you 😊! I’ll have to try a jam next time, I wasn’t sure about the tartness at first but then I started to really like it. Now I love them, I’ll have to try other areas next time. Blueberries are also my favourite, I didn’t get nearly enough of them this year!
It is great to hear about your search progress..........no surprise that you haven't found the right place on the Avalon.........too many people looking for the same thing out there with larger budgets than you I'd imagine.........you will be pleasently surprised how the price comes down as you move west in your search........most of the dying towns have a lot of life left in them for people like yourselves............we found our spot right on a gov highway so to speak.......it's just the main road through town.....actually it's not even an incorporated, therefore, no property taxes......that's a bonus......something else to consider when searching..........another tid bit of info is a lot of properties have no grant, or title, or deed even........a lot of properties were passed on by word of mouth and sold for cheap on a piece of paper. After doing a lot of reasearch and talking to "crown lands"......no worries.....check the property on the crown land website and chances are that it has been occupied by someone for many years off the record.......and is totally safe to buy and register.......Ok.....I am getting into too much detail about this on here........anyhow good luck and you never know we might be neighbours if you come this way...... there are cabins very close to us that has power and needs a refit........cheers.
Thank you, lots to consider! Those are great points though, crown land has been a big consideration. I was avoiding it but I’ll have to look into that route possibly. I can’t wait to search central! I’ve found lots of places I want to see, we just need to find the time to go visit them. Soon :)
@@OutdoorLifeOnTheRock Try to avoid crown land if I was you......red tape and limits........existing property is more economical.....less restricted....Water, Power, Septic are your critical needs.....find existing property that has all three. Good luck!
I look forward to your posts - you have the eye of an artist that comes across in your videos.
Thank you ☺️ this means a lot.
