    Thanks for making sure how to level the right amount of fluid. I never knew you'd have to level it while you run the engine, and the fluid temperature to be around 100F degree. Great video.

    excellent video. this is the most accurate video for the 2015 Mazda cx9.

    Video has steps reversed. The fill plug needs to be removed first. If you drain your fluid and can’t remove the fill plug you are really hosed.

    What if I just want to check the fluid and not necessarily change it? Do I still need to do this whole procedure?

    Hello, I liked your video. I have a question; Apart from changing the oil in the mazda, do we also have to change a filter in the transmission as well?

  • @cesarcarranza42

    if you remove the pan , is the filter there like in other transmissions? I am about to change one of the selenoids in th evalve body and i am thinking while I am there I could change the transmission filter as well..

    How often do you change the fluid and is it a simple drain and refill? I’ve heard not to flush the system as that can push particles into the gears.

    • @arthurserino2254
      @arthurserino2254 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The "particles" are already there. The ATF surrounds and bathes all the gears, clutches, and valves. A full flush is best for the transmission.

    "drain and fill" only replaces about 30% of the fluid, and the fresh fluid you put in mixes with the old dirty fluid. Best to have the transmission properly flushed using the machine.

      After 2015 they went with a 4 cylinder turbo. We have a 2015 CX-9. Two biggest issues are the transfer case if you don't change the fluid at 30,000 miles. The waterpump is the other big issue. It's internal to the engine. When it fails coolant mixes with the oil. Not a good design.

    • @bhadz100
      @bhadz100 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Uptin Sinclaire even with the later models, they did not change the design of the wp? I thought they did starting 2012. Anyway Ill just avoid it then.

      The engine and transmission in the 2016 and later are completely different. Both are Mazda Skyactiv design. The water pump appears to be mounted external to the engine. I don't know what transfer case they used. It may actually have a drain plug.

      @@JetSkiBuyFixPlaySellChannel transfer case has oil change of 30K? How did you find this info. Mazda had recall on the transfer case. Ours failed on 55k. Then again at 100k. sad. for water pump, I guess we should just clean coolant system and replace coolant every couple of years.
