Then, to defend themselves, they attack against China as revenge.

A very realistic and technologically up to date scenario. My only criticism is the "death" of the US POTUS. In such a scenario,POTUS would be in a shelter prior to any nuclear strikes anywhere in the world. There also would be a 'designated survivor' and a COG system in place. Again ,a very good EAS scenario.

I am watching this video from Japan.
North Korea's missile launches into the Sea of Japan are honestly becoming a regular occurrence. As for the Taiwan war, how Japan will get involved is an unknown area for the Japanese. The announcement announcing a nuclear attack on Japan is honestly quite well done. The distinctive way in which the announcement is written, with the national protection siren (missile warning) sounding, the expected area of impact, and the damage estimates, is really quite similar. Aside from the grammar and writing style, it is really well done.

Japan's southernmost islands are what, less than 150 miles from Taiwan? China would make a show of force to try and keep Japan out of it, but all it would take for the JSDF to get involved is a clear and present danger to ANY Japanese islands. The Chinese get too close to a Japanese island and the JSDF will open fire.
Because of this, Japan is a not-so-secret weapon in the defense of Taiwan.

The US has a very comprehensive continuity of government plan. There is no way the US would be "without a leader". Speaking as a US citizen, our resolve is bread into us individually (the world does not understand this), I highly doubt we would cease hostilities if it were a response to a first strike scenario like this, we stand our ground and defend ourselves till our last breath. We don't scare easily and our hunting population alone is the largest standing army in the world. I honestly think we would never surrender (I know I would never surrender), we like freedom too much. Otherwise, great scenario. I also have a place to go underground with the appropriate supplies to endure this scenario, as do many other US citizens. Humans can survive an all out nuclear war, hydroponics have made it much easier. Nuclear winter is very much just a theory. Volcanoes have unleashed megatons of explosive power and have only caused that type of weather phenomenon after Yellowstone type supervolcano eruptions, and only because sulfur dioxide is extraordinarily efficient at blocking sunlight.

They missed the bit where the entire British cabinet empty their offshore bank accounts and get as far away as possible at the first sign of any financial or physical danger to themselves. They are not "leaders", they are crooks. Also, the comment about the M25 being at a "virtual standstill" did make me smile. A complete collapse of UK civil infrastructure wouldn't need any military effort by foreign governments. Our own is doing it perfectly well by themselves thank you very much, by systematically asset stripping the country.
I have a sneaking suspicion that all world "leaders" only care about their personal bank balances. Therefore if you nuke everyone, and destroy the world's economy, then who's going to buy all the oil and assorted crap required to keep their share prices on the rise. That's not to say I don't think that 99.99999999% of people who seek positions of power (and therefore wealth) aren't confirmed psychopaths, they most certainly are. I just have a twisted faith that their desire for personal wealth (monetary, nothing useful!) requires they keep things as they are. You can't make profit from war if nobody is left to pay for it.

Not to alarm you but big cities like Chicago, New York City and Richmond, charlotte, Miami, etc are on the list of Russia’s plan for a nuclear strike against USA’s mainland especially Miami seeing as how it borders many other small town and cities, but most importantly many military bases. Russia is definitely going to want to attack or affect a military base and attack a city and they can do it all in one hit on Miami . Two birds with one stone or nuclear weapon in this case.

I would note that after China staged a nuclear strike on the US, odds are shortly after it would be out of the conflict due to US Retaliation. What shape continental US would be in afterwards would be questionable. Mind you that could lead to Russian adventureism as the bulk of US forces would be busy elsewhere.

The whole "President passing away" bit confused me. Reglardless of what party the sitting president belongs to....if anything happened to the president, wouldn't the VICE president take over as acting president?
Both live in DC so if that city is nuked (which would be an almost certainty in this scenario) both the President and the VP are dead. You can bet dollars to doughnuts that there would be one nuke aimed directly at the White House and another at the VP's residence. However, it is likely that in the chain of command there is one of the 20 or so people that are out of town at the time and won't be killed.

China has enough nukes that I think the idea of the end of this was whomever ended up as leader after Biden dies surrendered to China after bloodthirsty heathen Xi Jinping threatened to wipe the country off of the planet if he didn't. I would have been a bit more clear at the end if I were making these. Also, if I were Biden and if some country shot nukes at us that country would no longer exist when I got done. North Korea actually shot a nuke that landed within six miles of Guam a few years ago, Trump didn't get it and left it alone but Kim Jong (Expletive) intended to hit Guam that day and missed, that missile almost certainly had a nuclear warhead on it. A good President would have taught Kim a lesson that day (and he doesn't have enough behind him to do much damage to the US).

At the 32 minute mark, we see real footage of long range cruise missile launches from Russia's new range of small, but heavily armed, Corvette - type vessels during the Syrian conflict. That little demo of capability really rattled NATO and the west, especially since Russia has a LOT of this type of small but capable missile boats.

Nice video except the author doesn't have any understanding or knowledge about continuity of government (COG) including line of succession - Vice President, Speaker of the House, President pro tempore of the Senate, Secretary of State, etc. These individuals would almost certainly be divided up into separate hardened locations to prevent loss of leadership. First formally developed by the British during World War II, COG is a mainstay of US defense policy and has its roots back to the War of Independence when the Continental Congress would be relocated from Philadelphia to Baltimore in the event of possible capture.

It gets tiring that Russia always goes on the first strike.. time and time for every WE3 scenario Russia always gains the first strike capability. How about a scenario where NATO and uk achieve the first strike.
NATO has a no first nuclear strike policy. We don't even know if the UK still has nukes at all, no one with actual knowledge has really discussed it in decades. That may be a good move on the UK's part if they still have thousands of nukes at their disposal, no one will be expecting nukes to come from there. Also, France has claimed to have about 100-200 nukes (they may be bluffing) but no one ever mentions them sending nuke parades toward enemies in these.

One problem i have with this but its kind of a big one.
If the president dies leadership goes to the vice president. If for whatever reason the VP cant be sworn in it goes to the speaker of the house and so forth. US wouldn't just go without a president just because. Theres a whole line of succession outside of elections for such a contingency.
Technically, the head of NORAD would be our Commander & Chief. He has the arming codes. In case of nuclear attack, seconds count.
Considering the US flag lowering and the Chinese anthem plays right after, I have to assume that everyone in the line of succession is probably dead. At least thats what I got out of it.

I remember playing Homefront for XBOX 360 (a video game where North Korea occupies the U.S) and the game accurately predicted Kim Jong-il's death saying he died in December 2011. The game came out in March 2011. Great scenario though, keep up the great work! Also, to my fellow Torontonians. You may not know but there's a World War II nuclear shelter at Danforth Tech. That's the only site I know in our city and I believe it's in the women's washroom.
Oh yea it's there, I dunno if it's stocked or not, but, it should be enough shelter for a couple of days.

I remember it used mock news reports and stock footage. It was an awesome intro. The main villain was supposed to be China but was changed to North Korea to make the game sell in China so as not to offend the CCP.

This is a great scenario. Other than a few misspellings here and there and referring to the "US defense minister" (it's the Secretary of Defense), it was a wonderful job.

The lack of a "boom" sound (or at least the vibration, as if you were listening from a shelter or afar) removes a lot of the impact of the alerts, but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this one. A relief after browsing through a couple mid ones.

A very good scenario. Very realistic. Few suggestions. America has a Secretary of Defense. China has too few nuclear weapons to bully the US. The US retalitory strike would utterly destroy China and North Korea. I must admit that my heart rate did pick up considerably the more I watched🙁
It’s not russia wouldn’t even advance in Poland the Russian army is weaker than any nato army
China has more ICBMs than the US (according to US Government Officials). So, both countries would die.
It is estimated that China has 200-300 nukes which would be enough to wipe out both the US and Japan. We would retaliate but the US, Japan and China would all but cease to exist under this scenario and billions would die. If Russia and its 5700 nukes entered the fray the whole world can kiss the world as we know it goodbye.
There’s a old tv movie from the late 80’s early 90’s, I was a young dad with my first kid & about to report for basic training, freaked me out, the effects are old but the acting is incredible, think it’s called The Last day
We have NO idea how many warheads China possesses. NATO "assumes" it is around 4 - 500, but no-one really knows. As it is, that is more than enough to obliterate the continental US as a functioning entity, especially if targeting is chosen wisely. Obliterate already poorly-maintained critical infrastructure, and America stops, permanently.
