Hey June! Good to see you! Just want you to know you changed the way I cook and the way I view and maintain sustainability for the better. ❤ thanks so much for putting yourself out there so that your words and journey collide with drifting hearts like mine. So much love to you from me. Take care ❤
I know this may sound odd, but a podiatrist might be helpful for the toenail situation. It's not uncommon for older folks (especially if someone also has diabetes) to have their toenails cut by a podiatrist who will have access to specialized tools for thicker nails.
Dear June... please just know that you are a fabulous female! Your care for your Gran is exemplary. I can't always see every upload you post, but I watch as I can, and enjoy hearing of your day to day worries... I think it makes us all feel that even if we can't do everything we want, what we can do, still counts as being useful, helpful and valid... Sending much love from Australia ❤
Hey, June... I'm sorry bout Lau Lau's discomfort. She may need like, an industrial nail clipper, or an industrial kind o toe nail sander... or something. One thing this reminded me of is when my MIL (RIP) was about a year in her nursing home we had finally gotten her into, and her Dementia/possibly helped along by a Parkinson's diagnosis... for about a year or so everytime me and my kids and or me and kids and my husband went to visit (which we did about two to three times a week until her death) - she would tell us these WILD, bizarro stories which were her account of what was happening there in the home, according to her. My kids at the time were three kids all under the age of 12/13 I think... and often at first when the stories started coming out of Oma, they'd ask me later, taken aside.. and say things like "Momma... what Oma was saying tonight didn't make any sense, right?" And I'd tell them, "No, baby child... they surely DID not - not according to what we experience in our lives and in our minds, currently..." it was pretty clear that Oma was ... not experiencing reality in the way that we do. I think that's a lot of what happens to Elderly ppl in their last stages of life. My dad, in his last stages of Parkinson's told my two daughters (young adults by now) that he was seeing Chewbacca, trying to communicate to him, in the background of them... as they visited him in the hospital. Sending a lot of love, to you, and to Lau Lau.
I'm shocked at your grandma b/c my grandpa lived alone, blind, for five years after his wife died. He just passed in Feb at the age of 97. He'd been in a care home for a few months and never hit the call button for help. He fell, cracked his head, and died. She's manipulating you b/c she doesn't want to be alone, and I don't blame her. It sucks.
WOW I have t seen this channel in so long.....I thought it was gone!! But trying to catch uo here....WGAT HAPPENED? She sas fured from delish??? And wheres Aron?
