- A Jaingmen Keye Electric 20" high velocity fan model SFC1-500B. This particular one was sold under the Mainstays name, but I believe these are distributed under multiple different store brands. It is a relatively inexpensive fan, yet still delivers surprisingly powerful performance. It did not ship with a satisfactory amount of oil in the bearings, but otherwise seems built quite well by today's standards.
good video on the mainstays high velocity fan I like how it has super long spin down time also start-up sound not a bad sounding Fan I enjoyed it bro
Glad you enjoyed it.
I remember watching a video of you servicing this fan before I believe the cap value is eder 9mf or 10mf
Thanks for letting me know.
Does it output the max cfm 5280 as advertised i had this 18 inch patton since 2020 i just want a stronger fan that outputs more?
I don't have the means of collecting that information.
I have to agree your right it is a decent modern day fan with balanced blades which is rare today most of the 20" i have which is 9 of them lol some of the blades are out of balanced but the 20" iLiving with oil ports the blades are also out of balanced but that bad. i enjoyed the video
So many fans made today are out of balance, it's ridiculous.
@@JordanU i agree bro China dont know how to make the blades right which is sad
How to clean?
Hey bud, how has it held over time?
It holds up fine if you keep the bearings oiled.
@@JordanU How often should I oil the bearings?
@@manuelavendano3891 Initially add a very generous amount of lubricant to both oil wick material. Re-lubricate wicking with 3 to 5 drops every couple years. Use 3-in-one motor oil (preferably sae-20)
@@sccpsteve ¡Thanks a lot!
This is a sunko (Jiangman Keye owns Sunko) oem product. The SFC1-xxxx is worse in my opinion. Still good fans but no oil ports. The SFC-xxxx fans (sold by TPI and a few others) are even better with more blade pitch and oil ports. The version I have is a SFC-450.
SFC1 is listed as “square motor”
SFC variant is listed as “round motor antique fan”
My Variant is almost perfectly balanced as well. There are just good blades on these fans
@@krazykidmusic4954 Thanks for letting me know.
Neat ! I like this one , very well built and I unique design and structure .. It sounds like a Patton and even I was surprised how well balanced the blades are which isn't that common on most modern fans in my opinion , I've seen these in a few public places including stores of course but never actually owned one.. But watching the video gives me motivation. Not bad for a fan that was made in 1902 😂. I enjoyed the demonstration of the mainstays high velocity floor fan .
@@noodle1985 GET OUT OF HERE 😡!!
@@noodle1985 O yes I think you most certainly are !
@@noodle1985 I didn't misspell anything . Go away and leave us alone .
@@noodle1985 Hey idiot, Get off the god damn internet for once...
@@stevethefanman8955 I was impressed with this unit for something made today. If you can find it for cheap, I think it's worth getting.
This is pretty powerful but the speeds have barely any difference and the medium and low speed should be more gentle. Otherwise it’s a great fan
I agree.
I like that.
OK
I bought this fan from Walmart in 2017 but stopped using it because the backplate was way too hot. Just today I broke it out because I needed more air. This thing really does put out a ton of air. Only problem is about 1 hour of use I was asking myself "what is that smell?" Touched the back plate of the fan and it was smoking hot. This thing, or at least the model I bought is a fire trap. The label on my model shows SFC1-500B JIANGMEN KEYE ELECTRIC APPLIANCES. My finger actually hurts to type because it was so hot. Not comfortable using my model. I did a Google search and the first video was a link to this video.
You need to put oil into the bearings.
that big as heck
I don't understand.
i like it
OK
@DJ ENDIE09 - SAVE UKRAINE!!! What's wrong with Canada
