I’m in grade 11 and I’ve been so undecided about what career path to take. Until I was on holiday and went to a hospital and I realized I was in a comfortable atmosphere that I really enjoyed being in. I greeted all the doctors, nurses and patients I saw. And couldn’t stop smiling. From then on I’ve been dead set on being in the medical field. It’s the last term of the year and I’m changing CAT to Life Sciences so I can become a doctor one day. This video really helped assure me that the choice to change my subject was the right thing to do. Thank you❤️

You just gave good advice especially for high school students. Grade 11 results are very important and I realized this when I was in high school. These days it is difficult to get accepted in medicine and my advice is to aim high and get distinctions.

Advice for you: if you have always wanted to be a doctor, nothing can stop you, even if fail high school you can always repeat until you get the results that can get you accepted in medical school. Best wishes

I am 17 and doing my first year in Mathematical sciences Diploma. However, Maths science is soo not what I had been longing to study.I am more interested in the health Department and in Medicine to be more specific. My applications to the Medical program were unsuccessful. I got an average of 79 percent and an APS score of 38. I have always wanted to study Medicine and since my unsuccessful applications to Universities,I have been feeling like my academic life has been shuttered. Is there any alternative you can suggest ? I would do med even after being a postgraduate if that would make my dream of becoming a medical doctor come true.
I am currently in matric and my grade 11 and at the end of grade 11 my aps was 42 on the dot and my average was 76 (I met the basic requirements) But after my first term in matric it is currently 45 with my lowest mark being English at 65% ( I can do a lot better) I get above 80% for maths and physics and accounting and my life science is at 92% and my average was rounded up to 80% If I maintain these marks, what would you say are my chances of getting in at UP UCT Stellies UKZN or Wits ? 😔

Koketso Junior medicine is a full time degree and it's very intensive. You won't have the time to do another degree.
