I live in North Carolina, U.S. I have to tell you that looking at your video's has really made me look at these Hawks and Ravens in a whole new light. We have a lot of hawks and ravens and crow here. I always thought they were just ugly things eating road kill. Looking at your channel has made me realize how beautiful and smart they really are!! They're really just amazing!! Thank you for opening my eyes and heart to these beautiful animals. 🙂🦅❤
Well said. I'm in Hawaii, no ravens just mynah birds. I live on the most populated island but there are Hawaiian and white owls. On the other islands there are Hawaiian hawks. I've seen ravens, crows, red tailed hawks traveling to California, Texas, Arizona. Gorgeous, Brilliant, Opportunistic, Fierce and Incredibly Interesting!!
Cloud, like his namesake in final fantasy 7, one of the greatest - just wants to show his father he is one of the best. Thanks for the continued amazing content :)
Cloud is an exceptionally handsome young man, very photogenic. Yours is such an amazing channel and I look forward to seeing part 2 of Falconry Diaries.
Amy he is just beautiful, I don’t know anyone else but I could almost feel his anxiety of uncertainty and to see him calm and relax it was amazing. They truly are majestic birds thank you for sharing such precious moments x
Boop Boop , good to see you again. Glad to see everyone settling in after your move. Love to you , Cloud & of course, Fable. Looking forward to see Cloud's progress in future videos. Excellemt one handed work ! I caught that " boop boop " @8:00 ha ha
Living in the US Pacific NW Cascade mountains, I've watched the wild cousins of many of your birds for years. As with all my neighbors, I respect their space, so I very rarely see them close up. Your videos are very well done and seeing the birds up close from egg to adult is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this life with us.
I too am in Pacific NW Washington area in low foothills of the Cascades and have seen hawks, owls and the like flying overhead. Beautiful! These videos have given me a whole new love and respect for these gorgeous birds!💚
4 hours!? love the “furniture” and hanging flower basket on your new facility. All so interesting and fascinating, WOW to Fable, 👏🏻to James and 👍🏼to you maestra
This will be a fascinating series! Explaining the process from both your perspective and the hawk's. Showing the beautiful relationship you both share...
For what looks on the surface to be some quiet footage of a bird and a perch, that was rather intense!!. So glad to see that Cloud has settled. I loved the way when he finally decided to perch, he just powered up there like a boss. I think this guy is strong willed........he’ll do what you want.......but on his terms. Looking forward to your next update on your developing partnership with Cloud.
Hi there, right now I'm writing these worlds from Germany. I am so totaly moved by your videos. I'm following every new one, also listening very carefully to your advices
I found your channel while searching for Goshawks and so happy I did ! You have an amazing channel and it is wonderful to see the love you have for your birds. Had to subscribe and it seems I will be spending my Sunday binge watching your videos. Thank you for creating such an informative channel !
So happy for you finding this channel! The Fable vids were put in my feed because of all my Corvid searches and I am so grateful for being able to see all the gorgeous raptors, as well as Fable. They were mostly what helped me through the first difficult months of the pandemic and lockdown. I have recommended it to several friends!
RiverCrow It is such a wonderful channel ! And I understand how it is helping through this whole pandemic. I too have been watching videos on raptors as well. I have crows that hang out in the trees on my property and we have become friends ! I call them “The Cousins” lol. People in my neighborhood call me the crow lady because I am always talking with them. They have begun leaving me small gifts, pretty stones and odd bits they find and I started keeping the wee trinkets in a tray because there are so many. They even brought me an earring lol ! They are such amazing creatures and I feel blessed that they feel that comfortable with me.
What a beautiful bird. I've watched every video you've made of him from hatching to now. I love your channel. I've always been fascinated by birds of prey and to see them presented like this is way beyond cool. Thank you.
I was so busy binge watching your previous videos (for the umpteenth time) that I didn’t realize this posted until just now. What a treat! Thank you Amy! xx
Goshawks are one of my favourite raptors. There was a mating pair that always came back each spring to the ravine behind where I used to live. Was amazing watching them hunt and raise their chicks! There was a barred owl in the same area. So many fond memories!
I was watching your previously uploaded videos, Amy. And i realized the grit and commitment put in not just by you but also the birds. They have decided to stick to you and live out their lives with you. Everytime you let them off to fly, they can as well choose to just wander off and not come back. It's not just food and shelter, but trust and companionship they have found with you , and you in them. And i might just be overly emotional after tearing up seeing you give head scratches to Fable, but this is the true definition of love. The long term commitment and to bear each other in all the states be it good or bad. It is acceptance in its most excellent form. You and your birds are blessed and I wish they keep being blessed for however long they live.
Thank you. It is something hard to explain to people and convey especially on video. They stay because I'm worth something to them and they trust I will provide. Its a fickle relationship and they are very easy to offend. But when you work on their terms they give so much back. It's an awesome experience.
Amy, you and your birds are simply enchanting. I stumbled onto your videos quite by accident and have spent the last FOUR HOURS watching. I have now subscribed and you and the birds have a loyal fan. Thank you for making me smile.
Beautiful and majestic animals! Saw a Goshawk female take down a pigeon in a field behind my house the other year. Was able to see her make quick work of it through my 20/100 binocs. Have a regular visit by a heron too and the yearly visits of my house martins...nearly time for them to head back to Africa. You have a lovely place there and they all look contented birds!
I love the mastery you demonstrate in each aspect of falconry and husbandry. You demonstrate passion, commitment, discipline, patience, and skill in each video. The videos themselves are solid as well. You're a great communicator.
Love from Canada. You are incredible. Everyone is so lucky to be able to see you work. Again you are amazing! I love watching birds. I am the crazy lady who stands under underpasses and talks to all the pigeons nesting. I saw them have a gathering around a dead bird that showed how they mourn their loses. I was humbled. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.
Just fantastic, Amy. I had to watch it twice. Maybe I'm biased because we were all lucky to be able to share Cloud's journey from the beginning, but I think it's very clear what a special bird he is.
What Spectacular beings they truly are. You work with them as a friend/kindred spirit. It will be very enjoyable watching Cloud as he develops his skills.Thank you for sharing your work, life and Heart.
I love your videos, for your beautiful animals and for your kind way of being and narrating. I always feel relaxed. Thank you and many greetings from Switzerland 😁👍
ForestRaptor, I couldn't agree more! It might seem odd that I love raptors since I raise & train rodents, but I respect Nature's unbiased balancing act. I'm also not dumb enough to let my pet rats outside to meet the red-tailed hawk whose territory includes my yard, lol.
Wonderful!!, I felt the emotional feeling as you were waiting for the beautiful hawk to settle in. It was so lovely as I waited also. Thank you again for sharing . You show so much love and compassion ❤ with your superb experience. 🦅
Thank you for your efforts to share this moment. I recommend your channel as often as i can to those of all walks of life I know for the inspiration it brings and the calm it inspires in a world gone mad.
Stunning and incredibly fascinating! You are such a natural narrator - I am always captivated by your content and narrating, but the moment Cloud finally perched and the way you spoke of it just got me happily overwhelmed and brought a little tear to my eye... Well done to Cloud and you!

I have never been so enthralled by someone making a flying dinosaur leash.
Love this comment :)
🤣
Holy Cats!!! You just made that furniture from scratch! I can hardly get a bowl of cereal made without hurting myself. Amy, you are astonishing.
Its a key falconer skill and means that their equipment will always fit perfectly, and when it needs replacing I can do it straight away :)
That was pretty impressive!

Patience is an essential trait when working with any animal of any species, and you have demonstrated it beautifully in this video.
Especially humans
Those gentle "I know you're there momma..." Boop boops, while you're talking around the 8 min mark are insanely adorable.
You are such a pro! Amazing skill set to make and apply Cloud's furniture one handed! Some lucky birds have you as their caretaker!
