*This replaced a smaller Keurig that I owned for 6 years **MyBest.Kitchen** I wanted the convenience of the water receptacle and while this unit is much larger than the previous one, I'm very happy with my purchase. The only downside to this larger model is having to move it from under the cabinets to place the pod and refill it. I was able to rectify this by purchasing glide mats for small appliances. Now, it's perfect!*
me: 33 years old and HUMILIATED I didnt know how to use this (had one given to me for free at new years lol, was rotting away on my counter this long) this video was so helpful thank you!
I might be crazy but the reusable "filter" is actually a "basket" and comes with "carafe pod" sized coffee filters that fit in the reusable basket. This slows down the water drip speed and should make for a better cup of coffee with less coffee and much easier clean up. 10 cents each for the filters or more though, so as a price trade off you need good coffee worth trying to save.
My husband came across across a Keurig 2.0 coffee maker where someone got put out of their apartment I’ve had it for six months just sitting in a corner and decided to see if it works and it does have to watch a video on how to use it thought it did not have all the parts to it but it does thank you for your video I appreciate it
We followed your instructions using the carafe and Dunking Donut coffee medium roast. Selected 4-5 cups. The coffee turned out too weak even though I filled the Kpod all the way up. What do you recommend that I would do to make the coffee stronger?
I had a 2.0 and got a smaller one...I wemtnto sell it and the buyer kept insisting that there was supposed to be a tray underneath. Does your have a tray? Mine just had a metal piece
I have a Keurig k545 and need to know what equipment is needed to do the carafe thing. Pot? Pod? etc. And do I need to hack it? I currently use a small magnet under the lid next to the pod in order to be able to use non-Keurig pods. thanks
We didn’t know about the k carafe pods We thought we could only use the carafe pods that they sell with coffee already in it. We prefer our own choice of coffee and it also saves money. Thanks for this video. I’m going to purchase the k carafe pod that we can fill ourselves. What would I do without TH-cam instructional videos? Still learning at 74. Lol 😂
I ordered the K carafe pod last night after I saw your video. I hope 🤞 it makes all the difference in using the carafe that came with the Keurig 2.0. Thanks for your help and responding.
The issue I'm getting is that when i close it with the pod in, I'm not getting the option for the carafe....there is a sign that says, remove carafe n a pic of the carafe with an X over the pic of the carafe. Also an additional message next to that, that says " this setting is not compatible with the carafe" . The only options I'm getting are, 1) water filter reminder N 2)restore factory settings. Well i try to but it does nothing to change once i press the button. 😵😤 lol
Is your carafe (the pot) in tight under the Keurig, there is a sensor that knows when the carafe is under. On the front of the carafe pot at the bottom is a part that sticks out, when you push the pot under to brew this part goes into the bottom of the Keurig where the sensor is. Let me know how you make out.
@@bradleesargent I guess that's why. I'm having the same issue listed above. I'm thinking the cup too small. Ughh... I was willing to use 2-3 refills to fill up
I’m having this issue too. But I bought a keurig brand 2.0 carafe reusable pod, and it still won’t let me 😭 I hate having to stand there forever and brew cups and cups and cups
I have 2 single serve, reusable pods for my cup coffee, but in my area, it is difficult, if not downright impossible, to get your hands on carafe pods or the reusable pods. Guess there are not enough :coffee snobs" to warrant such things. I am not a "coffee snob" (wine, on the other hand....), but I would like to get away from tossing so many used pods into the trash each year. I have already "hacked" my brewer to be able to use the "non-approved" keurig pods, but still, a reusable pod would be cheaper in the long run and possibly less impactful on the environment.
You just need the carafe under the brewer, and the orange carafe cup (refillable one like I used) fits in where the normal k cups go. Let me know if this helps or not
@@PovertyPointCustoms Yes, it does. I can buy new ones or use smaller size reusable pods. Every once in a while it will recognize the large orange Kcup.
I have an eco-carafe pod but the brew is just way too weak. The Keurig is brewing light brown water and I've gone through a 1/2 bag of coffee trying to find a solution; different grinds, different Carafe cup settings, etc etc. Nothing works. The water will start to drip dark brown and within 2-3 seconds becomes lighter and lighter. Major buzz kill.
when i put my Keurig coffee pot in, the menu system has never reflected that the carafe was there. I have tried everything, but never in five years been able to use my carafe.
There's a small part on the bottom of the Carafe that goes into a little slot under the keurig, is yours doing that? That let's the keurig know that the Carafe is under it.

Stop posting this on every Keurig video.
It's annoying.

Glad it helped, we use the carafe all the time!

Today I got a used Keurig 2.0 and I had some questions about the coffee filters. Thank you for your video it is well explained. Cheers
Glad it helped :)

Do you have to have that exact Carafe pot to work with this machine. In order to enable the brew settings for brewing Carafe size pots?
You do, there is a little tab on the front of the carafe that fits into the bottom of the keurig
We followed your instructions using the carafe and Dunking Donut coffee medium roast. Selected 4-5 cups. The coffee turned out too weak even though I filled the Kpod all the way up. What do you recommend that I would do to make the coffee stronger?
Pray 🙏 to the coffee ☕️ gods of the earth 🌍
I had a 2.0 and got a smaller one...I wemtnto sell it and the buyer kept insisting that there was supposed to be a tray underneath. Does your have a tray? Mine just had a metal piece
There is no tray, you can buy them as an extra option separately
I have a Keurig k545 and need to know what equipment is needed to do the carafe thing. Pot? Pod? etc. And do I need to hack it? I currently use a small magnet under the lid next to the pod in order to be able to use non-Keurig pods. thanks
What does that mean it says I think keurig brew on it. Its next to the cups setting what do you adjust the keurig brew for?
Excellent video
Thanks!
Is yours a k600 plus series?

You are going to love it, I'm the same, I like certain coffees that I can't get in the K cups.
I ordered the K carafe pod last night after I saw your video. I hope 🤞 it makes all the difference in using the carafe that came with the Keurig 2.0. Thanks for your help and responding.
Sorry to say it didn’t work. Our Keurig didn’t recognize it and it kept rejecting it.
@@PovertyPointCustoms What pod is that(Model#) . I been wanting to buy one...
What is the maximum amount of grams of coffee can this reusable k cup hold?
Around 30 grams
Thanks! I've been trying to figure this out since i cant seem to find any pods of this size
Great video thanks Blessings..
Thank you 😊
I guess you would need that spisific keurig K Carafe pot in order for that machine to allow 1 k Carafe feature to work?
Yes unfortunately

There are two sizes of refillable k cup, you maybe have the single size instead of the carafe size refillable k cup plastic filter

Thank you for this helpful content
Your very welcome ☺
I have the same machine but it always says to remove the pot 😢
You have to have the plastic pod k-cup not regular pods to be able to use this
Gracias por el video muy bueno éxitos amigo
Thanks for this.
Thanks!
What model 2.0 do you have? I want to make sure that filter works with my k200 plus
Hello ours is Model Keurig 2.0 K300
Where is the water filter replacement thing. I bought one at a garage sale for $3 and can't seem to find it.
Mine actually did not come with the water filter however you can purchase them separately and they attach inside the water reservoir.

Definitely, we picked up some also
Great video. Thanks for the tips!
Thank you 😊
Mine keep saying wrong setting and to remove the Karate…
You have to have the plastic k-cup to use this or it won’t work. The regular pods will not work on this
So i do not need the one black pot inside the orange, i am asking because i see the k pot and you need two pots
You just need the carafe under the brewer, and the orange carafe cup (refillable one like I used) fits in where the normal k cups go. Let me know if this helps or not

Really helpful
Thanks!
THANKS!

My orange Filters are No longer recognized by my Keurig 2.0? Any ideas as to why the machine would stop recognizing the pods?
Does it recognize the regular k cups still?
@@PovertyPointCustoms Yes, it does. I can buy new ones or use smaller size reusable pods. Every once in a while it will recognize the large orange Kcup.
How long do these last?
We are still using the same one since I made the video, it has probably been used a few hundred times already
i’ve had mine for a few years and it works just fine!
🙏✝️🙏amen🙏✝️🙏
Good video
Thank you:)
Can you use standard kcups for a full pot?
No, you would need the Carafe size k cups, we actually bought the refillable ones on Amazon, I believe they were 12.99 for 2 and they work awesome!

Try espresso beans
Mi cafetera es exactamente la misma pero dise esta configuración es incompatible con la jarra
Can you translate to English and I'll do my best to help you :)
I Have the same problem it says this configuration Is not compatible with the carafe

Curious about the taste, really.
It's not bad, but put alot of coffee grounds in and fairly tightly packed
Pronounced Cure-igg not curr-igg
Wow, whatever would we have done without your pointless correction?
