Everyone legit forgets about wanda, the entire team forgot her, even Hawkeye forgot about her, the only time someone wanted to see her was to use her to save someone, not even to talk about how much pain she has been through. She lost her lover, her parents, her brother, and her kids even though they weren’t real. All that anger, all that pain, all that sadness, the dark hold took over her and released all those emotions to use as power and against people.
In fact, she lost her lover thrice (in thanos movie and wandavision) and kinda lost her kids twice (wandavision and MoM) I realized im pretty sure she lost vision alot more times then what i said but yea
By destroying the Darkhold is every Universe she saved countless lives from being affected or corrupted by that book. Specially since we saw that it basically screwed several Doctor Stranges and caused an Incursion. In one act, Wanda did more good than just helping defeat Thanos in one Universe. People saying she's unredeemable are the same people who still root for Kratos in God of War, a man who slaughtered countless innocent for revenge, Omni-Man in Invincible, a man who killed thousands just to prove that human life is meaningless for them, Loki who killed thousands because apparently his adopted and had a rough past, and Sinister Strange who destroyed his entire Universe to get his love one back.
Totally agree, I will just add tho that prior to Avengers 1, Loki not as much, if not just the same amount of harm that Thor did. He really was just trying to look like a hero to Odin. It wasn’t until Thanos mind-controlled him with the Sceptre that Loki really began to kill innocent people. And once he was out of Thanos’s influence, he helped Thor out and was mostly on his side. Loki is barely a worse person than Wanda. They are both redeemable and I don’t understand rooting for one and not the other

So was Vision or the mind stone power sorta keeping her scarlet witch power in check? I really hope MCU gives her a happy ending, I feel her pain and sadness. I wish Wanda finds peace and happiness soon 😭
Nothing was “keeping her in check”, she just didn’t know who she was and what power it was that she actually wielded. Despite this she’s been dramatically increasing in strength with each passing appearance.
It was vision and his love which was keeping her to go bonkers and she felt safe and loved by him so she was under control but when he was gone she didn't know what to do with all that pain and agony so she blasted it off
As someone who's lost someone dear to me, went through depression to the point where I almost killed myself, I don't really feel sorry for Wanda, especially when it came down to the dumb "they'll never know what you sacrificed for them," line and the forced sympathy in Multiverse of Madness. Yes what Wanda went through from losing her brother to the person she loved was awful but that doesn't excuse her actions.
And she didn't just lose her brother. She lost her parents, got orphaned, got experimented on, lost her entire country, then she lost her twin brother all the while the entire world feared her, saw her as someone she is not and it broke her. She was so alone and sad over everything, that she was drowning in sorrow. Vision was the one who pulled her head out of the water, he became the one thing that kept her going. She lived a horrible life ever since she was a child. Vision became EVERYTHING to her. Then she had to kill him to save the universe, that is the most selfless act in the entire mcu, then she had to watch Thanos rewind time and see him being killed again, then see his corpse being torn apart piece by piece. Very few people went through what she went through, her life is tragedy after tragedy after tragedy. For a mind and heart as delicate as hers, it's just too much. Besides, she was corrupted by the darkhold.
