Have you ever considered farm supply shops? They have some VERY weird and wonderful tools like gelding shears, dehorners, hoof knives, various clippers, to specific tools for working on tractors, trailers, and other specialist machinery. Most have massive selection of gear, most of which you'll never find down at B&Q! I think you could have a lot of fun at one of those!
Easiest and most fun way to spend a day getting lost in Lowe's! Have to say I love my Craftsman palm ratchet so useful for getting into awkward places that you can't get a normal sized ratchet. Great video as usual Jono! Happy New Year!
A great collection of very USEFUL tools. Thanks for another fun video. Number 2 - Fantastic. Totally agree with everything you said about it. The 10 in 1 was a bit of a stretch. Spyder were well promoted on Belts and Boxes which is now the Tool Show with Rob and Sarah. I have a large Dewalt 250mm adjustable spanner - not sure if you have or not. Also 3 versions of Dewalt pry bars and a cat's paw. Great versions of these tools. Plus a good range of well made F Clamps and Trigger Clamps
Love your tool videos. I just bought my first shadow foam and am looking to kit out my Flex 3 drawer stack pack. I am a painter and can say the stud buddy is part of my kit and it is fast and simple, doesn't take up space in the tool bag. Also the Dewalt putty knives are great, easy to clean. Something I have that might fit your small tool case are spring tools easy to use for nail sets and hinge removal on doors. Also I saw you looking at toughbuilt tools. I just bought a utility knife with a window scraper which is awesome because 2 tools in one using 1 blade. cool
I shop at Lowes because they regularly carry Bosch and they set aside parking for military vets, which is cool. They def have a better variety of power tool brands than HD.
I had one of those toilet brush things. Used it to clean the car mats. Broke on first use though! That handheld socket is really handy I'd love one of those.
Surely it would be better if the two pieces went together to give you more leverage, as that's what gets the nuts off easily. I've seen nuts stuck using a cross brace with four people having a go then someone comes and sticks a tube on the end and it comes off first time.
I'm in lowes almost every day and its funny how I've grown so numb to the weird US tools. I need to slow down and look a little closer next time. Love the videos
I think you would love the nut heat induction tool mate it heats the nut up in seconds and is safe to use near gas tanks or plastics as the minute you take off the induction coil from the glowing nut you can touch the induction coil with ur bare hands it's a mechanics must tool 😉 👍
We have a local supply store in waveland Mississippi that is loaded with what you call quirky tools I think you would love shopping there! Thanks for another enjoyable video
Lowes and Home Depot are both good stores to shop at. Sometimes one is better then the other. I usually go to Home Depot only because it is closer then the Lowes, but if the sales are better at Lowes I will take the ride. Thanks for the video, I always love these types of vids where you go around and show tools that some people night have never seen before. Only down side is that you usually find something I then want to go out and buy which in turn hurts my wallet. 😆 I really like that "stud-buddy" because no matter how many stud finders I have and use, I can not always find the stud. With the stud-buddy looking for the nail heads, I think that would be great and I could of used it last week trying to hang a tv on the wall.
Can you make a uk tool box with tools just from England because I want to see a budget sort of English tool box for jobs after school and on my weekends and I want to build a tool box but I don’t know what I should put in it for about £1000-1500
You got me Jona. I I thought the scrapper was cool. That's my pick. Then the wheel brace topped that. Why haven't we had that design before? Makes so much sense in a car. But the number one pick, if it can be believed is a crazy good tool.
I have the flex stack pack. I both love the wall rails to mount and the wall shelves to mount them on walls. The cabinet is awesome for wall mounting. The rolling one drawer option is also awesome. The crate and wood work top are inexpensive and super useful. Cheaper than Milwaukee and just as good.
I was in my local Lowes today when this video came out. 🤣 The Craftsman Lug wrench you looked at is great in my opinion. I love the collapsible design and the range of lug nut sizes (about $35 USD in December 2024). I've seen the Stud Buddy for a few years but picked up the Klein Compact Stud Finder a few weeks ago and love it (Klein MSF100). The Purdy Multi-Tool has been in my home Painting Tool bag for a few years and it's great. Thanks Jonathan! Edit: Leave me out of the Giveaway - so if you pick my name - choose another 😜
Love the video had a Purdy for a few years but never a folding one also I had the gator grip back in the early 90s got from Walmart but lost it ! Also bought quirky stuff then as well such as colour coded car polish which was new then😄 You may want to check out private jets to the USA /uk as can work out cheaper than airline as some sites sell cheap tickets to help with fuel costs as they can be flying back to us or uk empty not used myself but they are there. Then you can fly your goods back with you as well
hi enjoyed todays videos love the tool box stacks, also the spider wheel brace and you made me laugh hard when you said you found nose pickers keep up the good work lad.
I'd be interested to see how the Spyder bit's claims stack up, my instinct is telling me they are probably nothing special, just fancy colours to look cool. As always it is a pleasure to watch you ennthusing about tools!
There 3 things there that look good the bit clutch looks like it could work ok and the spider drill bits, would have to be tested along with the screw driver bits and the fold away wheel brace is pretty good, and a good idea plus looking forward to a update on the spider tools 👍👍
Those compact socket set as you said. Nut driver as we would say does also have a metric version. Also I'm super jealous I have been trying to get that multi driver with the bit grenade from toughbuilt for months and they haven't been in stock anywhere.
That pickle might be the best tool you've found, one bite and it'll clear out your pipes 😂 love the Craftsman speed brace and Spyder is my new go-to for drill/driver bits
It’s too bad Toughbuilt seems to have gone under. Loved the random matte black tools they made. The foldable table is really nice. Would love to find others in Lowe’s.
Love the hand ratchet, but a little bit too novelty for what I would need. The speed brace though is perfect for a small car though! Also on your next trip abroad do you need someone to carry your bags lol
The stud buddy and the wheel brace along with the scrapper were standout tools for me. America and Europe seem to have loads of tool stores yet in UK DIY stores are closing down what’s going on?
The first 1,000 people to use my link will get a full year of Premium membership to Woodworkers Guild of America for only $1.49: go.wwgoa.com/shadowfoam2/
Taken advantage of that, cheers for the link!
@@zyonchaos1818 my pleasure mate
Cool, just joined and then upgraded to the Gold membership plan. Looks good and will have a look at what's what over the year. Thanks for this.
I’m not ashamed to say this, but that Lowes store looks like a proper day out to me!
Same mate, take a packed lunch aswell
As an EDC nerd I always like seeing other people's compact toolkits
The toilet brush is for cleaning carpet and matts

I think you could have a lot of fun at one of those!
Yes I have! It is definitely on the list to visit in 2025
Tool-tip: Get a wallpaper smoothing tool (plastic) and use it to get the ice of your car windows. It bends a bit and is bigger then any ice scrapper.
HARRY NEW YEAR🎉 Thank you for keeping me entertained with your videos, best bit's "QUIRKY" toolhunts! 🔧🛠🔨
Wish we had some of these tool shops in the uk. A full dewalt video would be awesome
Great video, it's nice to see different perspectives from USA to the UK. Keep up the good work!
Easiest and most fun way to spend a day getting lost in Lowe's! Have to say I love my Craftsman palm ratchet so useful for getting into awkward places that you can't get a normal sized ratchet. Great video as usual Jono! Happy New Year!
The bog brushes are used for alloy weheel cleaning.
A great collection of very USEFUL tools. Thanks for another fun video.

Great video as always 👍🏼

Awesome haul of tools this time - love the painters multi tool but the speed brace is on another level 👍
I'm so glad I found your video. I'm waiting for a new tool set to arrive and SHADOWFOAM will be perfect for the drawers.
Thanks
Love to see the vortex bit holder in use. Another great video thanks Jona
Number 2 it's the most interesting for me, innovative and solves a real issue
your face was priceless biting into the pickle🤣 i liked the little rachet i have one similar
The craftsman palm ratchet is a nice tool great video as always happy Christmas and happy new year to all at shadow foam
If you're ever in Norfolk make sure you visit Thorns DIY in Norwich. Large, old school store, with lots of quirky stuff.
Shall do, thanks for the tip! 👍
The wheel brace is a great innovation. Wheels are often put on super tight at the garage and it's hard to undo the lug nuts without a good brace.
Another great video! Love these quirky tool videos.
I shop at Lowes because they regularly carry Bosch and they set aside parking for military vets, which is cool. They def have a better variety of power tool brands than HD.
It's truly worth watching the food review at the end.
But a thumbs up to the wheel brace also.
I had one of those toilet brush things. Used it to clean the car mats. Broke on first use though!
That handheld socket is really handy I'd love one of those.
That speed brace is epic! Could definitely do with one of those in the UK!! Very compact!
Great video your face eating the girkin priceless wheel brace fantastic idea
Love the videos. Im in the market for a new tool box system. I cant decide after watching your videos 😂
That compact wheel brace is genius.
The pickles literally made me lol 🤣🤣🤣
Agreed, makes you wonder why they even bother with the standard wheel brace design
Surely it would be better if the two pieces went together to give you more leverage, as that's what gets the nuts off easily. I've seen nuts stuck using a cross brace with four people having a go then someone comes and sticks a tube on the end and it comes off first time.
Hi new to your channel can't stop watching love the foam cutting just ordered a load of foam for my dewalt tools and itching to get organizing
I'm in lowes almost every day and its funny how I've grown so numb to the weird US tools. I need to slow down and look a little closer next time. Love the videos
Wished we had a shop like Lowes in Europe
So do I mate, so do I!
I think you would love the nut heat induction tool mate it heats the nut up in seconds and is safe to use near gas tanks or plastics as the minute you take off the induction coil from the glowing nut you can touch the induction coil with ur bare hands it's a mechanics must tool 😉 👍
Another great video. Love that palm ratchet!
Hope you get to visit Japan some time - will need a serious budget and a ton of excess baggage!

Sorry mate, I certainly know that feeling! 😅
@@ShadowFoam LOL It's all good, I need a little more self control, but as you, I just love tools and new tools I have never seen before.
Honestly, lowes is my favorite store.
That wheel brace would retire my old spider brace in heartbeat, Lovely tool.
Multi tool scraper is quality, never seen a folding 1, ideal for my pockets as a maintenance man 👍
Can you make a uk tool box with tools just from England because I want to see a budget sort of English tool box for jobs after school and on my weekends and I want to build a tool box but I don’t know what I should put in it for about £1000-1500

That's called a pliers wrench, which Knipex first released in 1994 and still sell. Hazet also has some
I was in my local Lowes today when this video came out. 🤣

Another excellent video, is there any tools shop you haven't visited or any you won't visit again
I try to keep my mind open, because you never know what hidden gems might be about
The best part of the Craftsman tire tool is the half-inch drive which you can use to remove the security stud you see on tires these days.
I can’t wait to see the compact car kit as I will be making my own one to keep in my car soon :))
Only thing that i wouldnt have chosen was the blue brush 😂. Hard to choose between the rest of them as they were all really good products. 👍
That Craftsman tire iron looks great. I’m going to have to pick some up for my wife and kids cars
HEY Rugby... did that weather remind you of home? LOL smFh, COME to AZ they said.... its a DRY HEAT they said...
That tire lug wrench I really like. I am going to need to pick one up.
I used to love the sports outlets in America if on holiday, 30 years on its tool stores! I’d love to visit a Lowes!
Definitely liked number two. The wheel brace. What a great saving tool!👍
Love the video had a Purdy for a few years but never a folding one also I had the gator grip back in the early 90s got from Walmart but lost it ! Also bought quirky stuff then as well such as colour coded car polish which was new then😄

You'd think that at least one UK retailer would stock the full dewalt range.
I mean surely the demand for it exists over here!
@@ShadowFoam Agree. But even our local Homebase has just closed.
The airlines must have done well on excess baggage fees this year Jono 😂
Haha it’d be cheaper if I had shares in the airline
hi enjoyed todays videos love the tool box stacks, also the spider wheel brace and you made me laugh hard when you said you found nose pickers keep up the good work lad.
Who doesn't love a compact tool 😊
My favourite tool is the compact space saving wheel brace!
Have the toilet brush but it’s awesome for cleaning car mats with a good powerful drill on high speed 👍👍
I decided to invest in the Flex Platform, my first power tools ever. I love me some Flex!
I'm not a big Lowes fan. They have tons of stuff, but the prices are better at Home Despot and Rona.
Thanks for the video. Happy New Year all
That wheel brace is brilliant to save space. I’d definitely buy one of those.
Love your videos,I like the folding Purdy 10in 1 tool
Nice to see new products that would be very useful building the new shed, love the solid body scraper
You and me both!
I'd be interested to see how the Spyder bit's claims stack up, my instinct is telling me they are probably nothing special, just fancy colours to look cool.
As always it is a pleasure to watch you ennthusing about tools!
Need one of those toilet brush heads, the missus would love it 😂
Off to the states in a few weeks, might need to pop to Lowes for a look 👍
Liking the look of Lowes. I think a car tool kit would make an interesting video.
As someone else mentioned, try a Tractor Supply or Rural King. Menards too. Love the video!
Good haul! I like the mini tools.
That tyre brace is so smart 😮
I’m liking the multi tool scraper. The barm ratchet is a great idea also.
There 3 things there that look good the bit clutch looks like it could work ok and the spider drill bits, would have to be tested along with the screw driver bits and the fold away wheel brace is pretty good, and a good idea plus looking forward to a update on the spider tools 👍👍
Sometimes if I’m bored I’ll just go to Lowe’s and explore the aisles
Keep up the videos mate you always find a random tool I never knew existed
Thanks, will do! Which tool was that for you this week?
The forever lasting spyder consumables. Let us know how you get on with them in future videos
The wheel brace and the scraper are winners for me, cracking ideas.
Love the magnetic stud finder. We live in a 1930s house that uses lat and plaster. Magnetic stud finder was the answer. Mine has a bubble to.
That wheel brace would be perfect for keeping down the side of the drivers seat as an "emergency tool"!
"Sour pickle Frank?"
"Yes, it is isn't it."
Those compact socket set as you said. Nut driver as we would say does also have a metric version. Also I'm super jealous I have been trying to get that multi driver with the bit grenade from toughbuilt for months and they haven't been in stock anywhere.
I like the palm hex driver. Useful addition to a tool kit.
Love the craftsman round ratchet.....very clever!
I’ve had a couple of stud buddies for a couple of years ideal for picking up all those screws, nuts and bolts you spill.🤣
What's the best way you've found to send the items back to the uk?
That Klein mini ratchet looks really decent bit of kit, and I am getting that wheel brace!
The 1/4 drive brushes are available here, too. I have seen them in many shops, and I think Trago Mills had a good selection.
Thanks for the info mate!
WOW, Some very useful tools
That pickle might be the best tool you've found, one bite and it'll clear out your pipes 😂 love the Craftsman speed brace and Spyder is my new go-to for drill/driver bits
haha Its definitely done something to my pipes
The paint scraper looks good. It would be perfect for me as I'm needing to decorate the house soon, urgh!
great video at least a 100 x better than others ive watched
Looks like a great place to go!
Stud buddy, scraper both look like they would be good tool kit companions!
the diamond cutting disks are good for emergency when youre out of the usual disks but man they are loud as hell make sure to wear hearing protection!
At least you have the scraper to clean the bog brush … another great vid
haha didn't think of that mate!
The stud buddy and the wheel brace along with the scrapper were standout tools for me. America and Europe seem to have loads of tool stores yet in UK DIY stores are closing down what’s going on?
