I always enjoy your content! It’s been at least 45 years ago that my Dad and I drilled our last well . We had a 6 cylinder gas (1945 ) rig on an old Mac truck frame. We lived on a 600 acre Farm and we used that rig to drill wells for family and friends and many other wells on local farms . Those were the days that you could still do what you wanted to do , and what you needed to do on your own land . Gone are the days . Now you need permission or a permit to blink your eyes of take a breath on your own property? We appreciate your knowledge and the time you take to make the videos.
I do not know why I started watching your channel, but I am really happy that I found you 😁. I have learnt so much about your good and bad times, plus the skills you have. You sir are a gentleman. I am a retired Manufacturing Engineer, but I love your channel and look forward to the next videos. Thank you and yours. Cheers.
Another great video please keep them coming. I would like to see more like this including the problem ones just like your previous one. In addition please consider one were you explain all of the controls and gages on the truck and how they tell you what's going on down in the well. Thanks again.
What an accomplishment! Long day for you and your Dad but you got it done. Sure have learned a lot watching your videos. Keep up the great content. It is never boring. (sorry for the pun). Greetings from the Arrowhead of Minnesota.
Super cool to watch the process, it’s interesting to see how all the different parts play into making a functional and sustainable well! On a second note, I wish I could get about 50lbs of that dark red clay! My uncle hand fires pottery (he’s a bit of a hippie😂) and I bet that stuff would make an amazing mix for what he likes, we can’t get that out here in the desert south west
😂❤ This answered my question I had never asked 😊 I assume the plastic cupping was threaded inside to go on the pipe.. so basically it is a slip cupping and the glue works as a gasket and binder. But this does bring up a question… have you ever had a well that would not seat??🤔 is that why some well drillers will pull their casing back out and then order readymix delivered and fill with cement and I a few days go back an drill through the cement an then put their casing back down the hole. I don’t know but I was told drill through the cement’s was like drilling through butter 🤷🏻♂️ But seriously THANK YOU!! I know these are time consuming to do but it is also so educational at the same time! 🫂
Hi there once again thank you for the info on setting casing. But can you please maybe make one where you pull out casing and what tools you use. Please, pretty please 😊
Hey remember me telling you about my foot valve in my well? Had to punch a brand new well, 46’ deep and static level at 19’ Tried air lifting the old one but” snapped off at the pitiless adapter hence new well time… Works great now and thank you for your informative help friend..
Enjoy these videos not being that familiar with the technology, I would enjoy a short video with a cross section diagram of a well hole with the components and labels of the components and the terminology in drillers terms that goes with them just some food for thought ie : like the bottom of the casing we bottomed out success for your future .
Is there a “standard” diameter? Most of your videos have 6” pipe, but some, I believe, have 8”. I’m wanting to have a well drilled on my land, before I build a house. (Estimated to be 150-200 foot.) I’d like to have a Bisen hand pump and an electric submersible pump. I’m wondering if 8” pipe Would be better. Thanks!
@stilltuckered 6" pipe is industry standard. If you install a Bison hand pump (i love them by the way) id recommend using a Grundfos 3" pump , they'll both fit in a 6" bore no problem. We've done a dozen or so like that
Always a great video. I have heard you should always pitch the like, follow, subscribe. From what I understand youtube is more likely to promote your videos on the suggested videos if you are encouraging that at least once a video.
Make sure that the drill pipe is straight after connecting it together, there is no deviation or twisting in it. She is the cause of a problem. Good luck
If you used steel casing and an actual rotary drive shoe you wouldn't have all those problems that you have... I could go on and on about everything wrong In this video
Thanks for the instructional video .............. and cheers to Mike for his volunteer work! 👍
This is my favorite type of video... Learning from the master. Thank you so much for informing & entertaining!!!

First thing I do is click the thumbs up button as you never disappoint in your video’s

Excellent content, especially for those who are curious or truly interested in the process
Great content. Keep up the awesome work!
Incredibly seful stuff. I like all the "we've been doing this for years tips" that you simply couldnt get anywhere else

I really liked the format of this one!

Thanks for the explanation of what and why you do what you do. Very interesting.
I like the way your father waters the trees think you caught him by surprise 😂
That was nice - thanks a lot! I cook for my girlfriend and she loves it too!
Great video, Rest and relax.
have a great day
Love your videos, and how insightful your process is!
Love your show , question here in Alberta all the well drillers wear rubber boots.

Awesome job producing video

Excelente Job 👍👏👏🙏🏻🙏🏻
Excellent video ! Have you ever had an earthquake damage a well and cause you to have to redrill or drill a new well ?
Kia Ora & Good Afternoon from NZ ...
The guy at 5:48 was filling the well from the topsoil 😂
What will happen to the wingbit if you hit granite in 20 ft

👍
Is the casing a special kind of metal?
Is it only used for water wells
Helluva day!!!
Speaking like a father with two daughters. Be a good boy and marry that girl.

Your static come up pretty high with that much casing in it? Pretty cool seeing how different guys do it.

Man she shorted you a half of a muffin.
That's what I thought but held on.
Cooks gotta eat too.
She was just sampling it to make sure it tasted as good as it looked. :)
at 4:40 is when you have the dent in the pipe, i wonder if your hydro frack packer would pop it out?
Not a chance! Would have to get that pipe red hot with a torch to even have a chance of pulling the dent out.
What is the point on putting glue and primer on the metal pipe and plastic to metal adapter.
Primer and glue softens the plastic which allows it to bond to the metal.
Just watched the Tyson/Paul fight, now back to reality and learn why my well went dry
@@TheLettich17 i guess we all watched it.
A little different than how I learned to put casing in with a '49 22w

granite and quartz HMM ??? pan for gold if any
Yep, you were definitely spent after that one.😂
@7:48 drilling crooked?
Can anyone watching do animation?
I think I followed, but we all love videos.
@@fk319fk id love to find a good honest editor! Who can do animation!
You would probably be better off with an adhesive pdr pad and a slide sledge that way you don’t damage the coating or heat the metal
Absolutely insane how you guys do Wells in Virginia 🤦
Why don’t you just use all steel casing. We only use steel. We weld together. Set a few 400’ of casing
If you used steel casing and an actual rotary drive shoe you wouldn't have all those problems that you have... I could go on and on about everything wrong In this video
