Great Demo of the strip lights. It's not really a safety issue to power the lights on while they are rolled up but they will produce quite a bit of heat in that state and after enough time the strips could be damaged. The 4 pin connector is removable from the IR controller cable and often times they get loose and just fall out. Also the IR controller has a Y connector on it so really it would be better to plug each strip into the controller directly to avoid voltage drop on the 2nd strip.

ordered 2x 5m by accident instead of a 1x 10m one. what I realise is when they're extended theres a slight colour difference. The package also says "the LED strips must not exceed 5 m when used in a DC series circuit".

Hi! I need help with my LED lights and I can’t seem to find any videos about it. I recently got my lights like brand new 5 minute ago opened and I put it up. My dad like nailed some parts but between the lights where you’re supposed to cut on both of the lights. One of them is working but the other side works with some colors but on like green or white it starts dimming and is very dim or not even the color I selected. Help?

You made a small mistake,As you can see the second strip is dimmer than the first one,in order to fix that you need to connect it parallelly(connect both directly to the controller)..
