I actually think that I like this one. I really appreciate the wall cabinets that are in the bath and kitchen area. With the addition of a small shelf under the kitchenette, there appears to be lots of space to neatly put things in order. The balcony, even if not large, offers the ability to have airflow and natural light.
For the price, this one is one of my favorites. It has everything you need except a fridge, and I don't find the toilet angle weird. Where I live in Germany, having weirdly shaped bathrooms is very common because of how old the house are.
Ha, true! I'm german and my toilet is installed in the same 'weird' angle. This house was built, when it was common to go to a "Plumpsklo" in the garden. A very old house.
In my 1951 german house I rearranged bath (4.5m2): shower, space saving tub, toilet, sink, extra cabinet, full height towel radiator, big window 😎👑 just because toilet moved diagonal at the corner (drain pipe same place). Even with chimney shaft (not removable) it feels open and spacey ❤😀 You don't need much place when the cut is clever 😉
I like this apartment. It has a little bit more storage space than others. Although you are not really able to put anything in the balcony, it is good that you are able to get fresh air in such a small space
You can bring your desk chair outside to read or relax...just leave the door open😄and if there is space above the door you can hang the futon there to air out.
@@ackman3981 No. It's a difference to step outside on your own property and have a nice tea while watching the stars in comparison to just open a window. I had a balcony before and my flat now has none. Though I love watching the stars through my windows, I still sit inside and long for a balcony to feel being outside without having to leave the flat or having to share the space with neighbors. :) The last time I used the balcony was when I watched Mars showing up in the nightsky next to a full bloodmoon or what. It was precious. I can see the moon from my windows now, but it's just certain angles which is quite sad.
Now you are showing us the gems of Tokyo's mini apartments. The last one was already a really good one. But this one is by far the best. The balcony is small, but you can take out a chair and sit in the sun. Even if the toilet is placed in a weird angle the bathroom is awesome. The kitchenette and living room are great as well. Unfortunately you didn't show us what is around the apartment. I really liked it when you showed how far away shops and public transport are
The toilet is a little strange, but not immediately a reason to turn the appartment down. The balcony is cute, I like it. In general the appartment is modern and clean. The rent is relatively low; over all I am positive about this one!
This one was cute. Very good ventilation, actually had some storage, plenty of lighting, plus no loft. I worry about lofts, too. 😅 The tiny balcony was nice for getting fresh air. I could see myself living there. Nice video. Thank you.
I hate long and narrow apartments - feels like the walls are closing in on you. But this one is longish, yet has a squarish sleeping and living area. There is so much storage too. The tiny balcony provides an open extension which makes the apartment feel a bit roomier. The toilet is kinda weird, but for this amount of rent, I'll put up with it.
I’ll just keep the bed open eventually. I think there’s enough space. 😂 The small balcony has lots of potential for some ivy plants or succulents as they only need indirect sunlight! You can have a very long desk and put the plants on the end close to the balcony. While everything seems perfect, the owner somehow needed to make the toilet angle weird. 😅
This apartment is very convenient and has a lot of amenities. The storage space is especially good. The rental price is reasonable. However, that toilet is really weird. This apartment is one of the best so far. Thank you for taking us along on your journey, Usui-san and Spider-san.
@Lepidoptery, yes the toilet needs to be on the diagonal, but it’s on the wrong diagonal because the owner was too lazy to install it correctly! Toilet’s back needs to be in the corner! One of the two favourite bathrooms I ever had did this the right way, with the toilet positioned on the diagonal with the toilet’s (and person’s) back in the corner.
@@a.student4215 why would it need to be in the corner? and the only corner available in this space is where the sink is. i think it's more critical for the sink to be next to the door than for the toilet to be in a "corner".
The orientation of the bathroom is different but it's a decent apartment overall. Almost similar to your existing one, except with more storage space... especially for the tissues. Hehe!
This is one of the favourites, it has everything, only the kitchen is the space that needs more attention, even though the layout is weird, it looks spacious, and the balcony is a big bonus
I like the little balcony space, but not sure about the strange toilet position. Really nice amount of storage space and of course the bonus of EXTRA toilet paper storage.
I really like this one. Kitchen, bathroom, and a closet are all good. Despite that balcony being small that's a plus. Great way to let in fresh air and dry clothes. I wouldn't even fold the bed up. If you put it in that corner, it still leaves you with a lot of room for the desk and a TV on the wall. I wonder though why the shoe racks are so large. If you live in a tiny apartment, you are a minimalist and likely only have 2 or 3 pairs of shoes. 🤔
I love that there is a shoe cabinet, even if it is "large" by a minimalist's standards. Not all who live in tiny apartments are minimalists, some live there out of necessity. The space not taken up by shoes can be used to store other items.
I love this one. It has great storage and room for the desk even if the bed stays open all the time. I love the little balcony because you could sit out there and still at least close the screen behind you. Also you can open the kitchen window and have a path for fresh air. The rent is reasonable and I think maybe this place has 'the best bang for your buck' of the ones I've seen so far.
The micro balcony is a nice feature! Though I think the folding bed looks too small 😅 But Usui, I miss when at the end of the video, you used to go to another place like a restaurant or cafe. Although I love seeing all these different apartment designs, I feel your channel was moving towards micro “culture” instead of only micro apartments. It was all very interesting to see different parts of Japan’s lifestyle and I hope I can see it again soon from you 😊
Отличная квартира, с мебелью, есть места для хранения, балкон.Локация хорошая и цена за аренду не очень большая. Лучшая из всего что видела ваших обзорах.😊🎉
I really like the wardrobe in the closet, great to protect your clothes from smelly cooking steams. The folding furniture is a great asset, you can adjust the space to your needs at any time.
The orientation may be a bit weird but i still love this space. At least according to the price range, i feel like this place is a great catch. Cos in your last videos, i have seen some really tiny spaces with the rent being pretty high. So compared to all that, this is amazing. It even has a small balcony! How cool is that! Also, the placement of the bed and desk doesn't take away space to walk. So yea. I actually like this one a lot compared to the last few i have seen. Low rent, spacey, lots of storage, balcony for fresh air +sunlight, two extra windows, extractor hood, removable bed and desk❤, triangle entry 😀🖒🖒 add storage and live like a king 👑
I adore the blue reassuringly-solid entry door, the little balcony, the cozy bed nook, the hood ventilation, the little kitchen windowlet, the possibility others noted for a small fridge, microwave, and instant pot or rice maker stacked in the kitchen. I like that although it is long and narrow, the way it’s designed makes it feel like the main space is a bit of a room and not just a corridor. The rent seems good for what it is. On the less positives: I really wish the toilet was on the other diagonal (one of my favourite bathrooms I ever had was one with the toilet on the diagonal with its back to the corner), and while I love the cosy feel (I am one of the strange people who like the tiny size and well-planned aspect of airplane bathrooms), I worry that the position of the two blue entry doors might mean that this apartment and its neighbor might share their longest wall and equally share all their noise/sounds :-( I wonder how Spidey liked this one? Probably the balcony makes for easy web-slinging when he needs to go help someone.
Finally a balcony (even though it is small)! 🙌 it would be nice to feel connected to outdoors 🌳 the ceiling wallpaper is nice & even though a unique shape, the washroom facilities have a door 😅 there is plenty of storage, room for a refrigerator & the rent is reasonable. I much prefer gardening to cooking 🌸🪴🌳💕🍳😤🙅🏼♀️
I find this apartment surprisingly appealing. Despite the narrow space, the folding desk and bed make for very efficient use of the available area. Plus the tiny balcony (with its screen door) keeps the apartment from having too much of a claustrophobic atmosphere.
This one is okay. I like that it comes with a desk and a (folding) bed option, as well as the shoe cabinet and the wardrobe. All one needs is a mattress, a chair, and some appliances to start living comfortably in this micro apartment. I like the amount of windows, albeit small, but a bit discouraged with lack of counter space. However, I feel I could make it work, with small under-the-counter fridge, and "borrowing" the top of the washing machine. The price is nice, and the balcony could be a fun place to put a small folding chair and table to have a lazy breakfast in south of Europe-style:)
From all the apartments I saw on your chanel this is literally the only one, where you can actually live, I think... there are storage spaces, some space between bed and table, even a tiny balcony to drink coffee or internet surfing during spring and summer... the rest were just pure closets...
One of my favourite! I ❤ the balcony - no matter how tiny. I also like the fact that's it looks like a real studio apartment albeit a tiny one 😂. I still can't get used to a washing machine by my 🛏 😮. 😊
Ok I can say this one is perfect, has everything you need, is well designed and come with nice practical stuffs. For the small space is super well designed omg I love it. Even if the balcony is micro it's great to have it. And for that price on. That location? Please it's great don't let it go🎉🎉❤
The layout and storage space are pretty good, but I would prefer an actual bed. At least the toilet has walls around it, unlike some of the other apartments! 😂
This is my favourite one! I love the little balcony, and I like how this apartment is planned. Even the toilet angle is fun! Also, lots of storage space included, and I love furniture that can fold out of the way. This apartment is very convenient in every way, I think.
The balcony might be tight on space, but with a few artfully arranged shelves, you might be able to put a few plants out there! At least you have a view!
I love it !!! It has everything I would need. For how awkward the layout is, it has everything. Such good storage too for such a small unit. And the rent is awesome, especially since it's so close to Tokyo. This is a yes from me ... 😊
Usui-San, this one is not bad for the rent, but you would have to buy a washer/dryer and a refrigerator. The last apartment with the narrow space had all of those. I also miss it when you don't show us where you went to eat and what is nearby. I look forward to the next apartment "find."
At first i thought this room wouldnt make sense, but after your tour i think it could work. I'd just keep the folding bed open and have boxes to store things underneath. You can still put plants in that tiny balcony - find a way to hang them up? You could also eat outside (use a camping chair and a camping table, hahah). The screen door is very useful. That balcony might seem "useless" at first, but it does bring in light and air so it's actually a bonus.
Actually, that's a pretty sweet place! You can get plant boxes that hang over outside of the balcony wall so they don't get hit by the door opening. That it also has a screen door component is fabulous! You have space to roll the desk chair out onto the balcony too and enjoy some coffee or tea etc in the open air, especially on laundry-drying day, lol. You can stack a microwave/convection oven on top of the fridge. You could stack an Instapot on top of that, and you'd have loads of ways of cooking and baking. The toilet angle is a bit funny, but it's clear why. Lol, with showers that small you can't possibly slip and fall...you hit wall first and catch yourself! ;) If I were young and starting out or single without much stuff, that would be an awesome place! I want to find one of those desks for myself now. I wonder if they're available here in Los Angeles...hmmm.
Are you actually looking to move? Or just having fun exploring potential options? Either way, this is a very fun journey. I don't think they have microapartments here where I live...I think they'd violate some sort of housing code. :/
This is the nicest one I've seen you visit by far! It's got a bit more space and it's pretty usable. The shower is probably a little small for me but I'm not a slender girl - for many people it would be fine. There's even a tiny balcony which just makes it so much nicer :)
Good evening, Usui. It seems that triangular environments are starting to become popular. Like when square plates burst onto the table, replacing the classic round ones. About placing a refrigerator on the side of the kitchen, I don't know, could there be a refrigerator that thin? The desk and folding bed seem like excellent options to me. Those space-saving furniture are great. The balcony detail is nice, but isn't it a bit of wasted space? Sure, one can enjoy the view and all that, but I don't know, with how small it is... I mean, I think that in micro apartments it is important to maximize the space, that there are no spaces without real use. Regarding the distribution of the furniture, what if you put the desk in the place where the box that contains it is and the bed in front of the balcony. Because of the issue of lighting when waking up. Because of the rent, I also include it in my favorites list. Kind regards from Lima, Peru.
Not bad, I like the fact it has a little balcony to step out onto, and the bonus of letting plenty of light into the room. Even the rent seems reasonable. I'm starting to notice a trend in micro apartment designs and what everybody who designs them favors. For example, this one has a pretty big genkan compared to previous apartments. Both this one and the last one, they don't favor spacious showers, but like some kitchen area, and try to make the overall apartment as a whole work together. Unlike the ones with the toilet in the middle of the kitchen, or putting ladders in awkward locations where it is pretty obvious they are just throwing something together to charge rent and usablity is of no concern to them
@@judy-angedv7590 It is that space at the door where you take off your street shoes, and store your street shoes. As you've probably noticed from the videos, theres an area (of varying shapes and sizes) just inside the door that usually has different (color) flooring, or some other delineating line separating the space. Sometimes its sunken down (like in Usui current apartment, and the step up is into the living space. Basically, what you wear on your feet outside does not go beyond that area. In very traditional Japanese households the toilet room even gets its own set of slippers you are "supposed to" change to before going in, basically its considered a dirty room. Because of that when there is a toilet 'in the middle of the kitchen' it is very surprising.
A pequena varanda desse apartamento é um diferencial pra ver o céu 😊 Tudo parece bem confortável e o banheiro é engraçado mas ao menos é discreto, e com armazenamento de papel vale mais a pena 👍✨
I love the extra balcony, even tho it's small 😊 btw, I will change the folding bed to sofa bed and I will place it in front of the wardrobe. The desk will be placed in that small corner. A small multifunctional coffee table in front of the sofa bed. And a TV and fluffy carpet too. Small potted plant can be placed indoor 👍
This one is the best so far! Location is perfect, the price is decent and you've got plenty of storage. Even a small balcony... very nice! 🥳 Greetings from Germany 🎉
The entrance is very spacious over there, where the corner comes together is sort of captive. I would definitely put something to move the energy out of that corner. Other than that the entrance is mighty fine. The kitchen is really helped by the tiny window. The exhaust fan is lovely on the cabinet plus there’s room for your various kinds of trash and a nice skinny refrigerator freezer combo. Sadly, I can burn water on an electric cooker. I really need some thing that I actually has a piece of fire. Angular placement of the toilet is good for the active phase at the end of toilet usage. I would place something to the left front corner of the toilet, such as a tiny plant tower with a shelf to hold a book and a plant above it maybe so it didn’t seem placed so awkwardly. And you can pretend that the shower is your tardis. Pretty ceiling and lovely folding furniture! I like it most when the furniture folds into several things. Oh my gosh what a wonder a lovely balcony I could do 1 million things with that. I thought it was a big broccoli :-). The rent is pretty good. I always wonder if that is with or without utilities. And I also always wonder if it is with or without pets. I really like this apartment. Also there’s other things I’d like to know , is it wheelchair accessible how many stories high is a building, how many stories high is the apartment how many apartments in the building? But you’re quick shot is enough 😂 thank you!
Hi Usui! Yes, I like this apartment. Thank you for taking us along your search, I've learned a lot. It has good storage and a tiny balcony but you get to feel and breathe the outside. You can have couple of small plants on the kitchen window?! Question/Idea: Can you find sofa beds in Japan? You know, it is a sofa but it can be open into a bed? That would be of great help as far as sleeping solution and you can sit on the sofa when not open and watch TV or read.Check it out. Warm regards,
Weird, but I like this one a lot. Enough room at the end of the bed to put a small monitor for viewing. I'd get a small frindge to extend "counter space".
I think it’s pretty good value. I like it! I would have the bed folded out all the time, and with a decent mattress and throw pillows it could double as a couch.
Wow! This one is actually kinda cool! Love the bed and desk idea! Love the mini balcony.. The mini window in the kitchen! I like that the bathroom room is separate from the living room! The toilet........ 🤔😂I'd put the fridge where the washing machine should go and rather use the space next to the sink for more prep space and storage! Really nice one Usi! Looking forward to the next! 😊
This one is very good as well. At first, I was concerned that the bed wouldn't fit into that corner. But it did! I love the perks of a balcony and screen door, even if it is small. If the apartment feels too small, go outside for fresh air. If I just want to lay down and not feel like I'm in a dark corner, lay the other way. I'm surprised at how cheap this place is too.
The rent is pretty good. I love that it comes with a bed and the desk, I’d leave close and use as a headboard/bed table for a lamp and somewhere to put a glass of water at night. For someone who lives alone this is actually a nice apartment.
I was wondering if this was in a building with good amenities or shared public spaces. My Midwestern american town is just recovering from a trend to all condos, no rental units. The new rental buildings tend to have very small (for us) units and lots of good shared public space and amenities. Like lounges with free tea and coffee and business centers with desk space, printers and scanners etc and even conference rooms residents can reserve. Some even include ma8d service if you want.
I think they actually managed to get a decent amount of storage options in this one for the price. The folding bed is a novel idea but I imagine you’d just end up putting a standard single there regardless - it’s not like you would use the space for anything else when the bed is folded up. Personally this is one of the better ones I think

Хорошая квартира и не дорого
Ok I can say this one is perfect, has everything you need, is well designed and come with nice practical stuffs. For the small space is super well designed omg I love it. Even if the balcony is micro it's great to have it. And for that price on. That location? Please it's great don't let it go🎉🎉❤
I like this one. And a good price. I wish they had micro apartments where I live in the USA.
Yes, a full size corner shelf up to the ceiling 🤓🖒
I really like this one. You get all needs met- desk, bed, and like toilet/shower where they are. This is a good one
Интересная квартира! Мне особенно нравиттся наличие балкона, пусть маленького, но все же... ❤❤❤❤❤
At this price, it's probably the best flat I've seen on your channel so far.
This is the nicest one I've seen you visit by far! It's got a bit more space and it's pretty usable. The shower is probably a little small for me but I'm not a slender girl - for many people it would be fine. There's even a tiny balcony which just makes it so much nicer :)
I would love the little place! 🩵🩵🩵
Unlike the ones with the toilet in the middle of the kitchen, or putting ladders in awkward locations where it is pretty obvious they are just throwing something together to charge rent and usablity is of no concern to them
what's a genkan?
From all the small apartments you showed in my opinion this one is the best
A pequena varanda desse apartamento é um diferencial pra ver o céu 😊 Tudo parece bem confortável e o banheiro é engraçado mas ao menos é discreto, e com armazenamento de papel vale mais a pena 👍✨
Quite like this one. Love the balcony and 2 windows.
Love the soundtrack, the bonsai cauliflower and maybe even the apartment!
Now you know 😂
This one is the best so far! Location is perfect, the price is decent and you've got plenty of storage. Even a small balcony... very nice! 🥳 Greetings from Germany 🎉
Danke für deinen Kommentar!🥰🇩🇪
إنها شقة جيدة و ثمن الإيجار مناسب🤗 شكرا لك 💜💜💜
That window above the kitchen is sweet, this living annex has everything you need.
This is one of my favorites; I really like the layout and amenities
Замечательная квартира. Есть все. Я бы там жила с удовольствием!!!!
The closet door should be on the other wall (corridor) to allow more space in the living area.
i was thinking it should go in the odd corner next to the windows; and the washing machine in the kitchen.
Love this apartment with balcony
I would just turn around the toilets 😅 great appartment
Warm regards,
I actually like this one! I love the little balcony!
Thanks for your comment!
I love the littlebalcony.🥰
Not so bad, with the screen door and kitchen window open nice air flow. Fold up desk is interesting. And a closet !
I am not usually claustrophopic....but this....YIKES!
I like this for you. I even like it for the cauliflower 😂
😎🥦
Actually, its not bad. It has some questionable design decisions but it has enough space and amenities to a reasonable price.
You can get baskets that hang off balcony for plants
It's looks good especially that small balcony was beautiful
Oh my gosh! Usui you need to rent this micro apartment, it's has averything you may need and even micro balcony! And tte price. it is fantastic!
This definitely the best of all I've seen till now, and also not that expensice compared to your existing apartment👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I would definitely live here
Ok, they’re getting better each time. I really like this one especially the balcony!
I'm not sure there is much reason for a folding bed in a country where Futon is a thing, but otherwise this is definitely one of the best ones.
I think they actually managed to get a decent amount of storage options in this one for the price.
The folding bed is a novel idea but I imagine you’d just end up putting a standard single there regardless - it’s not like you would use the space for anything else when the bed is folded up.
Personally this is one of the better ones I think
I really like this one!!! ❤
This one is the best for this price. And I think you like this one too because you didnt show us the view and the surounding area :D
I like this apartment! Nice price point! I like your videos, especially when you get a meal after viewing the apartment and share the cost.
Best one so far! Such a good price too! Love the micro balcony.
I love the ceiling finish.
I like this one, except I'd have to swap out the desk. It totally wouldn't work for a left-handed person like me! (Love this series, btw.)
Not bad! I like the last one!
