i remember when i was kid like 12 years old ( now im 30 ) our IT teacher on elementary school was doing AoE2 lan partyes after school in IT classrooms. He always picked up one of us just to have someone to trade with and went 2v6 always picked franks, droping castles on us while we were still in dark age and who survived got murdered by herds of paladins. I remember game when i picked teutons and manage to mass quite a few teutonic knights and he had hell of a strugle to beat me. as a last man standing everyone was cheering for me, and it was so awesome, even if i was defeated in the end. From that time, teutons are my favorite race, even that TKs gets wrecked by archers.

I have a confession to make:
I have a serious attraction to Teutonic Knights. The way their smooth capes flow over the perfectly chiseled bodies makes me an instant horndog. I can't imagine going a day without giving into my carnal urges watching them stroll onto the battlefield. I have spent the last few months writing fanfiction and poetry to express the deep, sexual energy these boys in blue express with every step.
It probably wasnt easy to admit your true feelings. I just want to say i admire how you are able to be honest with yourself. It is true, The Teutonic Knights can weild power over individual that is almost unnatural in a sense. No other being can hope to achieve such greatness. that is the Teuton chadboy.

Agreed this civ needs to be played more by pros. Mixing in some trash units with TK's helps against faster units.

Nice early pressure from the opponent; might've been gg if handled differently. Was fun watching you stay calm and make a great comeback. Once you established map control, it was a slow death for him. Also grateful for the delayed gg as it gave us a chance to watch some bonus domination. Thanks for sharing!

As much as the title excites me, it is just another video of unnecessarily forcing Teutonic Knight. Teutonic Knight serves no strategic purpose in this game but adding salt to injury of a almost secured win.

With all due respect Your Grace(sorry, I had to!) I only saw 1 tactical flaw in your game worth mentioning. Although the Teuton ram is virtually worthless on its own, it makes a nice Ferrari for dumping Teutonic Knights in someone's base. For example, your knights will be delivered as fast as if they were champions (see SoTL videos for reference) AND the ram absorbs the arrows on the way there!!! Also, way to pull it off without bombard towers! Mastapizza!!!!😎

In case people don't know, don't send *ANY* trash unit at a Teutonic Knight ever. I forget if it's all of them (including Skirmisher) but I believe Teutonic Knight defense is so high they take 1 damage per hit from trash units. Since they have 100 HP, this means even seemingly lopsided looking battles can end with the Teutonic knights barely scathed. The only reason archers fuck them up is thanks to bonus damage; if bonus damage weren't a thing they'd be tanky vs. Archers too. That dude was basically throwing away his light cav by engaging with them.

Archer line don't have any bonus damage against TK. TK's low pierce armor just what matters in this situation.
MbL prolly gave up at that point.
You don't know any better than him, they are both top tier players and they both know that the game was already over way before that light cav charge and he had nothing to deal with them at that moment. So I don't think he thought light cav does well vs TKs lol it's really funny people actually thinking that way, especially the ones who think the archers have bonus dmg against TK lmao

You could've dominated the initial push with like two knights instead of the siege workshop or tower nonsense. Even if he had monks which he didn't, you had a 3/4th faith bonus going for you
It's still risky though, he didn't know MbL didn't have a monastery or a barrack for pikes. Even with the teuton bonus knights get converted fairly fast.

Also if you are trying out other RTS, ask Tatoh for Tzar: Burden of the crown and/or Celtic Kings, there was quite a hype for them at one point back in the day in Spain. Macro production intensive.

Teutonic knights are so freaking powerful, but they're downside is that they're slow. Still, a bunch of those can wreak some pretty major terror.

Hey Viper. Just wondering if you ever heard of / tried the game 0AD? It's an open source RTS created by AoE fans. They started a few years after AoE2 came out, and it's finally starting to look really good. The game mechanics are a little different to AoE. Would be interesting to see what a pro AoE players thinks of it.

The only problem with teutonic knights is that they are too slow. They are extremely strong against melee attacks, but are weak against ranged weapons. When there are lots of them they serve almost as a tank that crushes you.
The only one? Feudal age archers are a hard counter to them man
