Love the fact Nicki is number one since she got so much doubting online coming from fans when she was announced bc of her not so great placement on drag race as a contestant and ppl thought she couldn't judge other queens competing when she herself didn't do well but she 100% proved everyone wrong. So fucking happy for her.
Nicki makes it seem effortless. She does that even better than Brooke Lynn. And that French charm helps.
She told us on S12 that she was better in French and she sure is!
Nicki Doll is INCREDIBLE as host of Drag Race France. Her love for the art form and for the contestants really shines through.
i love how there was so much doubt around Nicky's ability to host because of her placement on S12 and now she's one of the best, most loved and admired hosts of the show. Just goes to show queens are a lot lot more than whatever their placement on drag race was
Seeing Nicky that high up gave me so much joy, knowing she was an early out on her season and to have such high expectations when she was announced to be host gave me hope because to know how it felt to be one of the girls who mainly wasn’t praised and stumbled shows she was more humble than someone like Brooke Lynn personally
Im a little sad to see Fux so low since they're actually a pretty good host and they always pay attention to start with a positive when giving criticism to queens. Even during eliminations they made sure to give the queens precious parting words. But sverige was such a small franchise and there is that scandinavian coolness so i can understand. Happy about Nicky being on top, she absolutely deserves it

I wouldn’t put the blame on Supremme for the mess of judging in season 3. That was ALLLLL the Javis. Misogyny towards Clover, pushing Pitita (when she didn’t even need it), Refusing to see Hornella, Bestiah, and Visa, and excusing Kelly Roller’s mediocrity because they like her out of drag…. That was them. IMO you could see on Supremme’s face that she didn’t agree with the judgement on most episodes.
She’s my absolute favorite host and definitely the one who is most supportive and encouraging of the queens especially during walk throughs
I’ve been lucky enough to see her live with the season cast and she just gets on with it like one of the queens - such amazing chemistry with all of them
Barbie Breakout is just.... UGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH I LOVVVVEEEEEE HEERRRRRRRR. God she's so warm and lovely but very German in that she always keeps it real without being bitchy. You can tell by the reverence the girls have for her that she is that bitch in Germany. So amazing

Fux is a great host, and I'd honestly say she's one of the best. I actually did find her quite warm, and quite similar to Barbie Breakout. With the viewers who don't speak or understand the language and have to rely on subtitles, a lot will get lost in translation. I think her deadpan sense of humor get misinterpreted as her being cold or serious, especially. And she served the most consistently exciting host looks since Art and Pangina on Drag Race Thailand.
This exactly! I was expecting them both having the same percentage, even with people voting for only one. I also expected them to be the two right below "the famous top four", (as they deserve to, with these circumstances).
Mera herself has played down and oversimplified Fux and Sverige a lot and I think that’s why her Patrons would vote like this.
Yeah, and also, she knew so many of the girls (Sweden is a pretty small country) , she had to try and keep a bit of distance to not seem too biased. She is also super talented with a singing and acting career etc.

Supreme, Nicky and Grag are my top 3 and I find it difficult to choose the best, they’re all so “human” and “normal” with the queens
Brooke Lynn being this high is only down to being known in my opinion. I find there to be no chemistry between any of the Canadian judges
She's one of the absolute worst hosts for me.
i agree with that to some point; i do think the judges have no chemistry and their interactions and everything they say is scripted, but i do think Brooke does a good job overall

well nicky has a much more subdued personality than some of the other queens so i guess people perceive that as her being boring or having less entertainment value, but it’s not the host’s job to have the biggest personality and i think that trait is much more relevant for contestants than for hosts. aside from that, nicky does a great job hosting and representing french values in the same way that supreme does for spain, and seeing how much the french queens like nicky i think it’s safe to say french audiences do as well. a lot of her delivery and nuances in the way she speaks is lost in translation as well; i’m far from a native french speaker but i do speak some french and have noticed that nicky is actually very clever and charming.

With Supremme, remember that she was going to let Pupi into that final and it was Envy Peru that basically said they really can’t do that after what Pupi showed that episode. I think the making decision based on friendship has always been there with her but it was masked until season 3. Also, Envy Peru just needs to host Holland if it were to come back.

I honestly like Barbie way more as a person than RuPaul (how dare I say that, I know xD) but her judging decisions were NOT good sadly. However, she has a warmth and fierceness that I really like which makes the queens veel very welcome and open to talk about important political issues.

Kinda surprised Valentina and Lolita were ranked so high on this list. Thought both of them did a serviceable job, but Mexico just felt kinda off for me for the first season and it felt like there was still some kinks that need to be ironed out. I still like both of them, but I just didn't think either or them fully delivered in all responsibilities and expectations. Hopeful they will in Season 2 though.
My number 1 is Supremme. Number 2 is Nicky. Number 3 is Brooklyn.
Then next up:Pangina. Mama Pao. Art. Lolita. Valentina.
And finally, Fux. Then, Rita. Priscilla. And Fred dead last.

I think it would be interesting to look at queens social media following relative to how they placed on their season(s). Some queens go all the way and have relatively few social media followers and some are early outs with large followings. I wonder who the earliest out queen with the largest social media following is!

I just finished Philippines S1 and Mawma Pao made me giggle so many times because she was so unexpectedly rude, bored, or tickled by something. But the teleprompter reliance is pretty wild. Philippines felt so much like I was seeing behind the curtain more than any other franchise. The background music was distracting, the critiques took way too long, the lighting wasn't always in the right place. I'm curious if S2 ironed those problems out.
I have a confession to make: I’ve tried watching the France seasons and have watched multiple episodes, but I’ve never connected and watched them all. I thought it must be lost in translation, but I’ve watched many other non-English seasons (Spain, Mexico, Holland, Belgium, currently Germany & Brazil, Thailand). I feel like I need to give France another attempt.
Fred is fine but his bias really showed, Ill never understand them saving Vivaldi over Keta Minaj, its kinda funny that thats kinda what got holland cancelled lol

Glad to see Mama Pao did pretty well in the votes considering how many international fans in general have actually watched DRPH 🫶🫶 still, Mama Pao over Pangina is a teensy bit wild to me, and im saying that as a Filipino 😅😅 also, imho S1!Mama Pao was a bit better and funnier and had more iconic moments than S2!Mama Pao, like i STILL unironically use that "👀...okay...🙂" moment and reaction gif when i can and i've managed to do "the shOOOOOEs" every now and then but couldnt quote you a Pao moment from S2 to save my life 😅😅 and her looks were a bit better in S1 than in S2 (but admittedly i prefer her make-up in S2 than S1). the obvious cue cards thing is kind of a Filipino Entertainment thing, like that's not uncommon even with the most charismatic variety show hosts here, so it doesnt really bother me much. i do wish Mama Pao could connect a bit more with the queens tho, like in the Werk Room walk-throughs, there are a few times there where it feels like she's there more for drama and tea than anything else. still, i do love her as a choice for a host coz she came out of left field, somewhat, considering there are at least a couple of other hosts who ppl wanted but dont necessarily consider themselves or identify themselves as career drag queens.
NICKY GETTING THE RECOGNITION SHE DESERVES
Barbie is iconic and she gives off big mother vibes, she has this thing in which she's able to praise the queens but also very explicitly tell them what is missing. I disagree that she's not direct, she expresses areas of improvement in a very kind way, but a very specific way which is what a lot of other hosts lack

Germany's judging is arguably the most sus in the franchise. Even the queens who participate in it thinks it's completely random and I don't know a single German person who likes it.
Imagine if trixie motel expanded into the HOME RENOVATION area. Like I know she’s renovating her own home but what if she renovated other peoples homes too!! Like went in there with her team and styled a portion or entire home. Sooo lucrative.

i don’t think the 1 season thing holds up though. we knew rita baga for 2 drag race seasons she competed in and the one she hosted. many people had never heard of supreme deluxe (including me) and she’s still my favorite host.

Brooklyn and Pangina are the best. They are working queens on the same tours with the contestants and showing their talents alll the time as drag queens not just hosts. I would want to be judged but a working queen over a host who also does drag as the completion is so multi faceted I want the judges to represent that.

How do people handle the fact that WOW doesn't actually do their translations? I'm trying hard to watch the non-English seasons because Mera's got me interested, but the number of times the subtitles don't even attempt to translate it makes me unable to watch. I'm 1/2 way through the first episode of France and it's happened 3 times. Is it not hard for folks to fall in love with a host when the production company won't let you know what they're saying?
Translations were really a struggle bus for the 1st season of France, i find they're much better at the second season
