Big up for the post. I listened to this live. I used to stay home on, I think, Friday nights just to record those sessions.. we would miss parties just to listen, record and stand mixtapes to all of the heads. I heard so many new artists because of them. The Wake Up Show was the OG radio show who took the torch from Red Alert. Sway and Tech Like the West Coast Stretch and Bobbito. I was at at the Juice and Supernatural battle that the Wake Up Show put on. All this before I was 18 years old. Thank god for those still carrying Hiphops torch to keep the fire i inside burning within. Much love and respect for sharing this, brought back dope memories of me and 3 friends just posted around the radio like dope fiends at midnight

I Remember is about Everlast. This is Evidence. Now, Evidence was associated with Everlast and Em did diss him but I Remember is an Everlast diss so I doubt this is what he was talking about in the song.

ĸaιne nahhh. Revival was his best recently as far as content and what he’s talking about. Not executed the best but still alright. Kamikaze? Lol, I skipped most of it cuz it wasn’t that interesting. Good Guy was a cool concept(that was my fav on the album). Not too many aside from that. I liked all the ideas and messages behind every track on Revival, just not the execution.
Em these days is like a shadow of his former self. You say he’s evolved but he’s taken more than a few steps back. Evolving would include the things that got him where he’s at. He’s neglected almost everything aside from wordplay. He doesn’t even listen to the beat anymore. Em has to remember what made him so special when he was using his old style. Cuz this new one he’s using is doo doo in comparison.
