I never heard of her until I stumbled on your video... listening now... really cool! Reminds me a little of St. Vincent but more alt rock sounding. I def hear the Beatles and Kate Bush influence. Great find!
@@Ch1ll_0ld_Dud3 Thanks. I was lucky to pick up The Circle and The Blue Door on gold vinyl for the price of a normal album. The first Purson album is only the standard black vinyl but both are quite hard to find. First Rosalie album is on purple and Two Peice Puzzle on orange and green swirl.
Love Rosalie Cunningham, I managed to get the first one on vinyl but this one and the last one have proved to be completely elusive. I got the digital album from Bandcamp but can't the LP's anywhere.
I had a listen. Terrific record! I don't really get the Kate Bush - but she is very, very good with a tune. What she has listened to is a lot of mid to late 60's Blue Note vocal acts - Bobby Hutcherson and Bobby Taylors especially, plus a couple of others that escape me. That really shoes on "Heavy Pencil". The title track should be the theme to the next Bond film! ordered it on import. cost a fortune but I just feel its going to prove a must have!
Glad you like it. Good points about the Blue Note vocal acts I should have spotted that. If you have a second fortune might i suggest getting Two Piece Puzzle as well. That one is more 60s sounding. It's almost like that one was recorded in 69 and this one in 71. I saw her live last night and I can tell you these songs came over really well live. Thanks for posting, always good to hear from you mate.

Good call with the St Vincent comment. Glad you are enjoying hearing the album. Thanks for watching and commenting
I’m envious of your Rosalie/Purson vinyl. It’s hard to find The Circle and the Blue Door on vinyl these days, and if you do it’s expensive.
