    I found a vajra bell while ploughing the land in my Village...I m from India(Assam).

    Bell is called Drilbu in Tibetan. Vajra is called Dorje. The dorje is usually made from meteorite.

      They are tools, in fact. I sometimes use the Dorje as "key" to get in touch with certain enitites on my rituals.

    Prof. Watt: Would you consider the Animal-Faced Vajras are inspired by Guru Rinpoche and the Phurba practices? They contain hundreds of animal-headed deities. The tracking to Samyé makes sense, given the debates there. Additionally, given the Guru Rinpoche folk stories of taming local Tibetan spirits, often associated with shamanism and animism- perhaps another connection there?

      @@jeffwatt5114 I thought most Tantric Buddhists knew about Guru Rinpoche exporting the Vajrakilaya sadhana into Tibet and using him to subdue the native spirits of the land.
