Narrated `Ikrima: that Ibn `Abbas told him and `Ali bin `Abdullah to go to Abu Sa`id and listen to some of his narrations; So they both went (and saw) Abu Sa`id and his brother irrigating a garden belonging to them. When he saw them, he came up to them and sat down with his legs drawn up and wrapped in his garment and said, (During the construction of the mosque of the Prophet) we carried the adobe of the mosque, one brick at a time while `Ammar used to carry two at a time. The Prophet passed by `Ammar and removed the dust off his head and said, May Allah be merciful to `Ammar. He will be killed by a rebellious aggressive group. `Ammar will invite them to (obey) Allah and they will invite him to the (Hell) fire. Sahih Bukhari 2813

I appreciate Dr Israr Ahmed as a religious person , he had a lot of knowledge and he was also a very positive person, but for the first time I do not agree with him on one point, He said Hazrar Muawiya was reluctant to name someone as crown prince but he did so because he didn't wanted bloodshed.. and he named his own son because no one from the companions of Hazrat Muhammad SAWW was left alive, my question is why didn't he named Hazrat Hussain R.A as heir to the throne of Khilafat? Why didn't he named Abdullah ibn Abbas R.A? Abdullah Ibn Umar? How he thought his son was more suitable then Hazrat Hussain R.A who's heir to the throne in Jannah? Hazrat Muhammad SAWW Himself said Hassan and Hussain are leaders of Momin in Jannat..
Because Yazeed was Amir Ul Jihad in the first conquest of Constantionople

The question why Mauwayia chose Yazeed over Hussein (RA) ...... the answer is simple Yazeed had an army behind him whereas Hussein had no power as clearly indicated that he found it necessary to go the scum of Kuffa to try and raise an Army........ Just like with Ali (RA) the Army of Ali was riddled with cowards and Khwarij.
This silly notion that Hussein (RA) was the grandson of SAW some how deserved Khilafah is utter stupidity....... Power will always go to those who possess power and yield it......... Hussein (RA) other than having prestige had no power or Supprters hence making the fatal mistake of going to Kuffa to raise an Army to fight......... people forget this would have been a massive war resulting in massive Muslim deaths if Hussein has succeeded in getting Kuffa to fight........... it is also forgotten that SAW praised Hassan " Hassan would end the War between two factions of my Ummah" ....... Hassan (RA) ended the war between musilims by abdicating....... Hussein (RA) tried to reignite this war........ There is no Hadeeth praising future actions of Hussein like there is praising future actions of Hassan
