  • How To Maximize the Forehand Power in table tennis?
How to increase the power of your forehand topspin?
Chinese table tennis players have a very powerful forehand technique. But why?
I've explained this to you in the previous video. That you should use your wrist during the forehand topspin.

I want to share a method I realized myself: If you place your thumb at the neck or grove of the handle and as you hit your FH topspin press or add pressure on you thumb, you automatically will rotate your wrist. Try it!
Your ball will move with a beautiful curve trajectory.

Ma Lin's forehand topspin from pivot position is one of the powerful shot in the world...i think he fully uses his wrist for the the 3rd ball attack specialy in backspin ball ...hope u will make a video of his forehand loop kill..so everyone can understand the benefits of using wrist...

Third ball loop kill was his speciality no doubt but that was when ball was smaller now with 40+ mm it's harder to spin the ball so hence speed with spin is not in good amount to loop kill

      @dmitrikonnov922 3 ปีที่แล้ว

Oh damn, the ball ain’t gotten bigger whatsoever. “+” stands for new generation of material, not for seize. The ball has been 40 mm (0,5 mm margin) and 2,8 Gramm for more than 20 years.

@@dmitrikonnov922 whatsoever it not as spinny as before and google too to check that size did increase or else it would be spiny as before
Because of that new generation gameplay is counter consistently

@@jackhsieh3955 yeah...it's more about brute force than skill in new gen due to ball size and material changes

@@minus21334 if brute strength is the main factor then it should have be good for European FH then since European are generally are bigger size and stronger. But it is not the case isn't it?

What continues to amaze me is that, unlike other coaches on TH-cam, I have never seen this coach teach a lesson, demonstrate a shot or technique, or even himself. Did you ever wonder why that is? Is he really a coach?

Many of his lessons seem legit but there's another coach on YT called Coach Lin who doesn't make direct reference to EmRatthich but he does criticise some of his advice. I would say just do what gets you the most points :)

It should be taken with a grain of salt. It’s easy to make a point after the fact (i.e. pick an attribute from someone when he is already famous) to make a point. A lot of TH-camrs do this. Here’s example: you have to be cocky and post shit on twitter to be rich and famous, and here is my proof: show some of Elon Musk’e twitter posts.

Is it the same for incoming topspin ball? You only show FZD doing the under spin ball. I notice that FZD open his bat angle.

Emrat knows his stuff his a coach in a major table tennis nation and is backed up by no less than coaches from Korea a top 5 table tennis nation. He lives and breathes table tennis !!!
Besides thee is nothing like trying yourself and if you don’t like it or think it is effective or whatever either something is wrong with your wrist or it’s not for you.

For me what i see ma long and fan zhendong don't use wrist for the powerful forehand topspin, but for players penhold many used wrist for forehand, when player handshake used wrist make it injury for wrist, ma long used wrist forehand when to tactical placements only, not to powerful forehand topspin
