1. Registration for IEC
2. Product Research - quality and packing
3. Registration with the respective RCMC
4. Supplier Research - quality suppliers and quantity
5. Market Research - countries shortlisted based on demand and supply of the product.
6. Buyer Finding
7. Sampling of products
8. Negotiating Incoterms and Payment terms.
9. Bag the Purchase Order
10. Appoint a CHA and freight forwarder for the shipment
11. Get the ship sailing, get your payment and the cycle is completed.
There is much more to the above list. We recommend you to study, learn and understand the processes and procedures of export and import business.

Or should we identify a specific product first and then look for manufacturer and buyer of only that product. My main focus is to establish as a consultant/agent working side by side my current job I,e. customer support.

One of my buyer's bank has returned the LC documents, due to non sufficient fund in buyer account. In that case how can we says LC is safe for payments??
I think,, you have to force your bank to fight with Importer's bank,, because our bank already confirmed the LC,, than after you proceed further,,,
Many times our Bank don't take it seriously,, and charged High for service,,,
Priti, LC is a system where the buyer will first deposit the said amount in his bank, prepares LC documents and then sends the LC document to seller’s bank, This is like a guarantee or a Cheque / DD with its terms and conditions, here there is no chance of lack of funds.

In case of LC, before it is finalised by the buyer, both the parties negotiate the terms and conditions, the same is also verified by the bank. Thereafter the buyer shall draw the final draft and deposit the said amount in his bank to send across the LC to the seller’s bank
