And when I heard this song in February (near my birthday), I almost cried. EDIT: I later realised that Super Mario Maker 2 had been in the works since 2016. At least I predicted it.
It’s so rare when trailers use music that solely made for the trailer, and it’s one of the greatest pieces of music ever imo Granted, it’s just a fantastic Mario World remix, but man. I remember the first time I heard this, and it still makes me happy to listen to.
I wanted to inject the trailer theme into myself so bad…it was so good I wanted in the actual game. (Shame that Game Builder Garage’s bopping trailer theme didn’t make it into its game either.)

I don't know whether there are trace amounts of sound effects or if this reveal was just so iconic that my brain is replaying them
there is no sound effect at all, because this version is played on an other trailer by Nintendo france as a background music ^^
