Thanks Jeff. It really was easy to assemble and is a sturdy and what I believe will be a reliable shower chair. It really has a lot of height adjustment options and the swivel mechanism is an amazing addition to a traditional shower chair as it makes it so much easier to get in and out of the tub. We never got a chance to use it with mom but I am sure she would have enjoyed it and made it even safer to get in and out of the tub! Great to see your comments as always Jeff! Cheers! :)

This is cool, very useful and convenient for senior, I'm a caregiver and always use this for my clients. only the one that's not swivel, So i can ask them to buy this cool swivel chair.
Being a caregiver is truly a blessing for those who receive your care and thanks for being there for that purpose! I also used chairs before that were not swivel but this swivel chair is of higher quality and if the person is having trouble getting in and out of the tub this makes is so much easier! LMAO, yeah but this information is good so that when you come back to Canada you know the different types of shower chairs available and can see if your parents have a good one or if there is a better option for them! Hey there. I am not sure if there is a left hand side control for this swivel chair. When I purchased it they did not have an option available. It was just this standard chair. You could potentially try to reach out directly to the company that manufactures them to see if they offer a left hand option but in my case this is the way it came.
As an Occupational therapist I dont recommend these chair for a shower-over-bathtub. These are for a shower recess. For a tub I would instead recommend a Bathtub Transfer Bench. They come in plastic, padded plastic fixed bench or swivel and slide seats. Try these for people showering in a tub.
That can work in a bathroom with more room. In my moms case it was not practical as we lived in condo with tight washroom space. There was not enough room for a transfer bench. Our occupational therapist tried the same thing for us and ordered it but was not practical for us. Every situation is different but if you have enough room for a transfer bench sure! Thanks for your insight!
Just did a quick online search and it looks like one place is selling it for 125 dollars. Do a Google Search for it and depending where you are the prices will pop up and you can make a choice from there.
