The reason the devs dont add steam achievements to the cross over dlcs is because they dont want to lock achievements behind paywalls that they can not control the price over since they dont own the properties in these dlcs. The devs mean that they can put mt moonspel and lake foscari on sale whenever they want making both the content and those achievements available for a lower price, but over emergency meeting and operation guns they have less control.

No it’s because of licensing, if they lose the license and have to remove the content, it would make the achievements unobtainable.

@@gabeznl3591 Fromsoft rarely do DLC achievements. Bloodborne was one of the only games wherein they added DLC achievements.

Good to know this is another great DLC to go with the rest of the expansion packs. I certainly need to be playing some more Vampire Survivors again, and this could very well get me back into it when I want something mindless yet fun. Thanks for the review.

If you ever get the chance, you should play the original Contra on NES. I'm sure you can just download an emulator. I'm almost 40 and Contra is still one of my all-time favorites in the world

This really spices the game up for manually aimed weapon users, even me that doesn’t use them much found myself really enjoying the new weapons. The new characters look great too. Very nice DLC, loved the map and the enemies are cool.

I really didn’t like this DLC. The map is great, as is the music, but the new weapons (and conversely characters) suck. There’s just no reason to use any of them over the existing roster unless you *actively* want to make the game significantly harder for yourself, and not in a fun, challenging way.

Playing as Contra characters makes the game harder? Sounds like a fair trade off. It wouldn't be Contra if it were easy.

@@0utrunner237 I wouldn’t mind a bit of a difficultly increase (as you say, it would be very fitting for Contra), but they fundamentally don’t play in a way conducive to Vampire Survivors, and their weapons just plain suck.

I played this game but it never really clicked for me. I am much more entertained by House Flipper 2. Being able to make your own house and challenges is awesome.
