I continue to watch all of your videos but I’m rarely a commenter on TH-cam (trying to be better!). But I just needed to congratulate you on how far you’ve come with EIP. Perfect timing! I'm at a crossroads--currently taking my first copyediting course (focusing on light copyediting) AND working on what I'm hoping will be an urban fantasy series. This will be a year of personal reckoning...which direction is calling me more? Your videos are help me better understand the publishing process. I also love seeing the integrity you obviously have when in comes to caring for other authors' work. This level of quality information and generously offering advice for writers on a budget is why I'm a huge fan.

This was super helpful. I always got proofreading and copy editing so this cleared it up for me.
Defs interested in a formatting video! I'm going back and forth on if I want to format my books myself and I think that would help me see just what goes into formatting.
I'd also be interested in seeing videos on what different books require for self-pub i.e. non-fiction, poetry, fantasy series, contemporary romance, etc.
Could you please do a video about how to extend chapters? Like I’m aiming for a 200-300pg book however some of my chapters are extremely short
So, for all of the internal pages - are those all done in Word, or do you use other software, like InDesign? I work in educational publishing and all of the text pages are done in InDesign (with more elaborate page layouts!) but those internals you've shared are amazing!
Correct! We use InDesign for our formatting 👍🏻

Great question! Line editing and copy editing often get mixed up, but they’re two different services. Let me know if you’d like more info or a video on this 👍🏻

Well, I looked at prices on your website. It seems a short novel, a novella, of 44000 words, will cost more than 3k if we book all the services....
This is kind of a random question, but if someone were to pay extra, would EIP be able to do an audiobook and a booklet (like A7 size) cover in addition to the ebook and standard print?

Yes, we can absolutely do that! We can create marketing materials, various cover sizes, etc. 👍🏻

I would love for you guys to edit my book. But just for manuscript critique would cost me over a $1,000. It doesn't help that my book has more than 80,000 words x.x
@Samara Hamilton oh, I have no doubt. It’s just too expensive for me right now. I’m sure other companies would be around the same estimate. It’s just on me, that I wrote a book this big.
I'm in the middle of edits and beta feedback as I go. Every single time I see examples of your formatting, I definitely wanna seek help to bring my ideas to life. The fear I have is whether I can afford all the help I need. How closely will Enchanted Ink work with an author regarding specific visual details for formatting?
Great question. We work hand in hand with authors during the formatting phase. The more ideas an author has, the easier it is for us to create what they’ve been imagining 😁
