What a great job, if i was looking for a camper that would be my wish list well done👏👏👍👍
Thanks mate, it turned alright 👍🏻
Hi do you have a link for the water heater please thanks love the van
It’s a 12v water heater from clearcut conversions 👍🏻
So you only made 2k on this conversion? Surprised if so, thought it would be more like 4/5k.
The total figure at the end (difference of 2k) was what the total cost of the van was including my labour costs, which I can't remember exactly what that was but was around £7,000 for the build
It was looking good all the way through the series and I think you’ve knocked it out of the park with the finishing touches👍Great looking van that someone is going to be lucky to own. If you don’t mind me making two points; The only let down inside is the t&g planking which to me looks less “professional finish” than all your other hard work which looks super and please get some Vanology graphics on it somewhere to show you did it!
Thank you Ian, i did try and keep it to a minimum. I didn’t want carpet everywhere but that being said I have been researching other methods and materials for wall so watch this space 👊🏻 and your right I do need to sort some graphics
Yeah I agree, I wouldn't have the cladding. You can get nice sheet panels which look a lot better.
Hi, I've been watching your videos and I'm looking to convert my own peugeot boxer. Me and my gf would go away for only a few days but might have a week trip here and there. We would be staying off grid. I'm looking to put 200w-300w (that range) of solar on the roof and want to have a similar set up to you (fridge, lights, sockets and maybe a tv). Would a 95ah battery be enough? I'm finding contrasting opinions online and wanted to ask someone who has used a battery of a similar size for a similar purpose. Thanks!
The set up is plenty mate, try the 105ah Fogstar battery. You get fantastic quality and features and one of the best prices on the market 👊🏻
Im looking in to a boxer myself gow much would this conversion cost all in? Thanks
Can i ask how much height is under the bed for the garage space
an awesome conversion Stu. I'd be proud to have this van on my drive. Its been good to watch your craftsmanship in action. Much respect- Kenny
Thanks Kenny, I got a belter of a van coming up after the relay 👊🏻
Absolute fantastic professional van build from a domestic garage.
Well done both of you.
Be very proud.
That will sell in days👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
All the very best.
Mack and Maggie, Huddersfield
Thank you! 👍
Cracking quality van build Stu, puts a lot of current van builders to shame
Thanks mate, wait to you see the one I got booked in after the relay 👊🏻
Great job from a great craftsman, looking forward to watching the next build Stu, keep them coming 👍👍
Thanks Mick, I got a belter coming after the relay 👊🏻
Hi Stu! Someone's going to get a cracking van. Glad to hear that you will be getting out of the rain, too. I bet your neighbours will also be glad😂
Thanks mate, needed to be done I need more space. No complaints yet but maybe they are being nice 🤣😂
Absolutely cracking van Stu, first one now done eh - the first milestone! well done! Some great tips along the way too - a fabulous van. Look forward to the next one. All the best, David 👍
Thanks David, got plenty more to share, didn’t want to peak too soon 🤣😂
Hi Stu,
Absolutely brilliant build, what a cracking van you've built, hope all your hard work pays off and it sells quick time.
We think an equivalent van from a mainstream manufacturer would twice the price and not as well built.
Good luck with the new build and premises 😊
Let's hope you go from strength to strength 💪
Paul and Joanne 👍 🙂
Thank you Meg 💙💙
So £8k for the Van, £8k for materiels and £11k for the build @£32/hr (6wks*7days*8hrs)
It's interesting, but you can tell it's a budget build. which is fine if that's what's wanted.
Close, the van cost was closer to £10k as we did timing belt, mot, body repair and a new wind screen. Materials was around the £8k mark. We sold it for £26k and was more like 5 wees, 7 days and 12 hours 👍🏻🚐
A beautiful tool this conversion, I love it. Well Done. I enjoyed every minute of your vlogs and well done to you both. Especially the little girl on the bike watching her Dad x
Thank you 👊🏻 She’s the star of the show that one 💙
What a wicked build quality job
Once completed is it hard to change it over on logbook from a panel van to a camper? Regards
Thanks mate, there are a few requirements for a van to be changed to a motor caravan on the log book but the most common reason for it being declined is the decals. The decals need to be done like you see them on Motorhomes. Those who do like race stripes often get declined they want it to stand right out as a camper 👍🏻
Very nice build. I’m just about to start converting my own old works Trafic into a day van (not much use as a long stay camper really in my opinion) and have picked up some good tips. Regarding lpg gas installations for campers etc, have you not thought about going on a course to get the relevant acop certifications and then you can test your own? Your certification lasts 5 years and if you are building commercially, it would benefit you. It isn’t expensive and you don’t need a gas safe engineer to give a gas certificate for a camper installation. You also learn about how to calculate the ventilation requirements for the gas appliances that are going to be fitted. You obviously know about gas drop vents being needed below each gas appliance and in the vicinity of joints but if you went on a course, you certainly would benefit. Just my input but thought I’d recommend it. I will be watching your future vids.
Thanks mate, the majority of our vans are all electric but my brother in law is a gas engineer so is fairly easy for me to get checked 👍🏻 I’ll take a look at that course thank you
Great series, thanks for sharing. Keen to know if your led lighting from the 2 x roof fans/skylight is sufficient, it looked so ?
It’s a very gentle light from the skylights hence why we put them under wall cabinets and in the bedroom, if you like good light then I’d recommend full length ceiling strips 👍🏻
Hi I’ve been copying your build lol and have been looking in the water heater you used on this and was wondering as it’s only 6 litre how does that work for the shower was it good enough for a decent shower. Thanks
Hi mate, it is only a 6L capacity. Most will shower by getting wet then turning water off, soaping up and then rinsing. I have had a shower using one of these no problem 👍🏻🚐
Hi there, really enjoyed the Boxer build series, what type of 12v heater did you use for the water heater??
Do you think a 12v heater will give enough hot water to run a shower??
It’s a 6L tank so enough for a shower clearcutconversions.co.uk/product/rv-electrical-water-heater-12v-new-product/
Watched all of your videos great job guys
One question where did you get the 12v water heater?
Thanks mate I got it from clearcut conversions 12v water heater 👍🏻
I like this! I will be in contact for one soon. Question, do you fit them with Fiamma awnings at all?
We can fit all the accessories you want mate 🚐
so totally awesome! 🙂 you're right about everyone having different preferences for the 'wood' finish - I use Osmo oil on the unlaminated plywood that you showed there at the end and think it looks magnificent, especially on the edges (which it brings out an absolute treat - no need for plastic edging in my mind). Looking forward to the next build videos, for joy and inspiration!
Thanks mate, I’m determined to see a van finished in this ply and see that grain pop 👊🏻
Cracking job 👏🏾 how many berths?
This is a 2 berth mate 👍🏻
Wow awesome Stuart looks very nice
Thank you 👊🏻
bro that into broke my ears u should look into that
I equalise the sounds at editing but sometimes it doesn’t quite get it right, will monitor it a bit more closely 👍🏻
It looks great
Is there also a table that can be fitted in front of the bench seat?
Thank you, I haven’t done one but should do as it’s an easy job just got over looked 👍🏻
Cracking looking van 👍. I remember you saying you were going to do a price breakdown of how much the conversion costs, is that something you're still going to do?
Hiya, I’ve lost track a bit on it but with the van and everything’s gone inside and timing belt service etc it’s cost about £20,000
@@VanologyConversions thanks mate appreciate it 👍
Can you get it registered as a motor caravan? Dva
Yes you could, it would need decals and an awning I believe 👍🏻
How much are you asking❤
Morning Chris, the van was for sale for£27k 👍🏻
do you have the link for the 12v water heater?
clearcutconversions.co.uk/product/rv-electrical-water-heater-12v-new-product/
Excellent job Stu.
Like the look of that new furniture board too.👌
Thanks Dave, I’m really impressed with it to be fair 👍🏻
Outstanding effort sir, cescking conversion well impressed. Electrical system looking sexy ha ha.
Thanks bro, knew you’d appreciate the electric board 👊🏻
It looks great, an excellent job well done, really enjoyed watching the build!, you have a very good presenting style!
I hope you get to build out an Iveco Daily some day, it’s the King of vans in my opinion, but then I’m biased, as I have two of them.
I’ve been researching the daily recently to see if I can do a 5 berth in one and quite fancy it 👍🏻
I really enjoyed watching the van conversion. I'm thinking of doing one myself and just have a quick question how many boards did you use all together on the build,
as I would like to put the passenger seats insteed of a bench seat cheers
Thanks mate, you should it later very satisfying 👊🏻 on average we use 6 boards for the furniture building 👍🏻
@VanologyConversions thanks for getting back to me on this. I'll definitely look more into it, and I was think maybe all electric van thanks mark
All electric vans are the way forward, I say that with experience having owned one 👍🏻
Thanks for all the advice just got to sort things out now before we go forward with geting and building g a van beenong look at 2 the l,w,b and x,lwb peugeot boxter just finding the right one now thanks again mark 👍
And a merry Christmas and Happy new year to and your family
All that black makes it a bit of a gloomy cave with not many windows! Two dents in the back door 'Can be fixed' and two hefty chips in the windscreen? If I was buying it I'd want them fixed first but, at 102000 miles, I wouldn't be buying it anyway! Full marks to you though for an amazing job and I hope you can make a success of your little business - you certainly work hard enough at it!
When inside the black isn’t overpowering but I guess that’s all down to personal opinion. I agree with you on the windscreen and dents, I’ve already got the van booked in to have these sorted 👍🏻 if mileage was lower then price would be higher but to be fair 102,000 miles on a 5 year old diesel engine ain’t nothing
Well done !!!. Great craftsmanship. And incredibly fast build. Respect for your work ethic. Someone is going to be very happy, but hopefully not a dealer ....... Take care and best wishes, here's to a successful business venture
Thank you very much appreciate it 👊🏻
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
👍🏻👊🏻
Looks amazing and very reasonable price. Where a brand new van up £80,000 and yours looks better 😉
Thank you Elaine 💙 will last longer for sure
Superb mate 👏👏👏. 27k absolute bargain for the quality. Looking forward to the next one and seeing the unit. Panel saw next 😉 🏴
Thanks mate, wanted to keep price down as best I could. Am excited for the unit to just waiting on the call 👊🏻
Brilliant tidy job mate 👍🏼. Will definitely be in touch at some point for some work on our Boxer camper/work van
Thanks Gareth, ready when you are 👍🏻
Awesome conversion Stu., wish I thought to order one from you before we secured a Calders Camper conversion on the P.Boxer base. You are doing great.
Thanks mate and I’m sure you got a great van 🚐
Hi Stu 5 week van build from your garage .awesome mate shows how competent. At building. vans you are Stu . Good luck with the new unit. Onwards and upwards 👍
Thanks mate 👊🏻
I'm not saying the batten will break Stu. I'm saying where you've screwed into side pieces it will break. You've screwed through centre of batten with pocket screws. So you've only got around 10mm above screw of timber. Easiest way now would be to put couple of blocks of wood under each end. So it would rest on them
Yes I understand what your saying, I’m saying it is by no means structural so it really doesn’t matter 👍🏻
just got back today from a 24 day trip to Canada where I had no internet and wanted to find an update on the van and I wasnt disapointed, the van is looking great and someone is going to be lucky to own it, I will keep watching to see the next project....may even email you......well done Stuart.....back on the dreaded M4 again tomorrow........
Thank you Sandy, am jealous of your Canadian holiday always fancied visiting. Glad you enjoyed 💙
Excellent workmanship Stu. I was wondering about a table?
Thank you, you guys gonna make me build a table aren’t ya 🤣🪚👍🏻
Really enjoyed watching this build. What a cracking van.
Nice one.
Thanks mate 👊🏻
Congratulations on a fantastic conversion on the Boxer, I'm sure you'll sell it no problem. All the very best on the Relay.
Kev & Tracey.
Thank you both 💙
Top job Stu , great finish and good price. Personally I would have put it up for £28k
Thanks Neil, comparing to other vans it would do well around the £35k mark but I’m happy with the £27k 👍🏻
Looks good Stu 👍🏻 Way better than another van conversion TH-camr up North who thinks he’s the Dogs Danglies! Shame about those dings though, personally I would’ve got them sorted by a PDR man & replaced that chipped screen & just added it on to the price of the van when selling, let’s face it it’s cheap enough. Surprised not to see a Vanology graphic to finish it off?
Thanks mate, we all got our own styles 👍🏻 I did think about it but really wanted to keep the price down, if the buyer wants me to sort it at Costco happy to do so 👊🏻 def need to get some graphics sorted
Hi Stuart get job very professionally built keep up the great videos I really enjoy watching 😊
Thanks mate 👊🏻
Wow it looks amazing! Your craftsmanship is stunningly beautiful, also it looks so cosy. We'll done.. 😊
Thank you Lorraine 💙
I wouldn't feel safe standing on that drawer to get in bed. That cross piece should have sat on top of sides. Anyone heavy standing on that & it will come loose. Dowels would be better. But if mine. I wouldn't be happy with strength of just screws. I use to have a factory manufacturing Kitchens etc. I'm not diy person putting my spoke in. I've been tradesman all my life.
Hi Dave, it doesn’t need the centre brace for any structural support, I put it there to stop any long term bowing of the ply and help keep it flat 👍🏻 but for strength I could easily stand on just that batten and it won’t break 👊🏻
Great job both been watching your vids for a bit now lovely family good luck on your business, great work👍 you'll do well thanks the hughesys 🏴
Thanks 👍
Quality workmanship. Very smart.
where is the foam and cover from mate?
Thanks mate 👊🏻 The foam is from efoam online and I used a local upholsterer 👊🏻
Great van glad you got it finally finished its a bit much for me but I'm still looking and maybe converting an ambulance ! Well done again guys Tx😂
Thank you Tony, I’d love to do an ambulance, square walls 😍
Looks like absolutely fantastic value for money. Really impressed with the quality of your work - Should be massively proud of yourselves 👏
Thanks mate 👊🏻
A great conversion at a fantastic price and the payload is really impressive. I've really enjoyed watching the build come together and the quality of the workmanship.
Could you do a 2 berth with 4 belted seats and a washroom?
Thank you Tony, yes it can be done no problem but the bench seat has to be one with integrated seat belts for the both seats 👍🏻
I bet by the time you read this you’ll have had offers and interest 😊 it’s a lovely conversion mate, I bet your really proud ..I actually think it’s cheap to be honest and if I wasn’t mid build of my sprinter I’d genuinely be interested 👍🏼 best of luck with the sale bud
Thanks mate, nothing yet but TH-cam isn’t the best place to sell it lol we are all van ligers already 🤣😂
Wow! Been on our holybobs (in our van!) and have missed some vlogs, but we are sooo impressed with this build!! You are in your element and you really know your stuff! The woodwork is superb. It's such a beautiful construction. Everything makes sense! Well done!
Thank you very much guys 💙
Can you give some details on the 12v water heater- it's the one thing I,m missing from my van- great job by the way 👏👍🏻
Thanks you, yes it’s a 6L 12v heater from clearcut conversions 👍🏻
Crackin van Stu and top workmanship! You should be proud of yourself 👍
Thanks Adey 👊🏻
Hi Stuart get job very professionally built keep up the great videos I really enjoy watching 😊
Thanks mate 👊🏻
Super job stu. The only thing. I didn’t notice a table anywhere.
No table but can do one if buyer wants one 👍🏻
Really looking forward to seeing your new unit. You are building our dream. It always worries me about purchasing a van with high mileage. Next April May time we may be downsizing our house, then we will be looking for a bespoke van. Certainly got you on our cards. That van looked fabulous. We will be looking for a seating area around the door and we will seat no shower needed. Maybe two single beds in the back and somewhere for Doberman. Greatfield, cheers MARTIN.
Thank you Martin, we can’t wait to move into it and really get going 👊🏻 when your ready give me a shout we are currently booking May 2024 👍🏻
Brilliant vlog on the Build . The Van is lovely Craftmanship excellent . Overall 100% Job . Well done Stu . And of Course Charlie for her labour of love .

Looking good ther, jealous of the upcoming workshop😂. I also used Moorland lightweight ply and have used the bare ply in drawers and in my garage and a quick sanding and varnish and looks tidy, also saved a bit of money that way 😊
Thanks Sam, super excited to get our own space for the business 🙂 really impressed with it to be fair this is my second time using it and it was just as nice the first time. Can easily make a feature out of it 👊🏻
FairPlay Mr Ruck, that’s a cracking van at a very good price 👌
Thanks Steve, goes to show a good solid van can be a decent price
A fantastic conversation, really enjoyed your vlogs.
Thank you 👍🏻
Nice one! You’ll have no issues selling that, someone is going to have a smart Campervan.
Thanks Ian 💙👊🏻
