Learning more about Hobart and Tasmania makes me think it might be the Southern Hemisphere counterpart of Victoria, British Columbia in Canada. Both are on a large island with a cool marine climate, both cities are vibrant and about the same size, and both places seem like they have amazing opportunities for outdoor recreation.
I live and grew up Hobart local thank you for sharing!. Next time you visit you should visit the Old Hobart Gaol also known as the Hobart chapel penitentiary. I was a volunteer there and member of the National Trust. The Hobart old prison was before the Port Arthur heritage settlement was built .

You really do a fantastic service to Tasmania and should be funded by the Australian government and paid very nicely to continue to do these intriguing videos for Tasmania.
Personally, I’d be interested in a ten to fifteen minute video on the Tasmanian Devil. (I watched him on looney tunes as a child).

Did you visit hobart in June, is it very cold there ?
It was June but it didn’t seem very cold. As long as you have a good jacket it’s enjoyable to be out at night in winter.
Hobart is awesome! I've just recently come back from a short holiday there and I'd love to go again to see the aurora. (It's much closer to Melbourne than Norway.) Do you have any tips for aurora spotting or can you recommend good websites/resources?
Catching an Aurora is notoriously difficult because you get maybe 24 hours notice of one coming. You can sign up for the BOM notifications (linked below) and they send a message when they register a coronal mass ejection which takes one or two days to reach the atmosphere. It’s pretty short notice, but if you’re in Tassie for a visit, you might be lucky to catch one 🙂

Ben Lomond is the main snow field, but there’s also Mount Mawson closer to Hobart.
