This is what I was looking for, but the results were not completely the same as described in the video. I completely removed me as an admin which resulted in me contacting the host to add me back in order to be able to log into the admin dashboard.
I had a staging site using the Elementor template that needed resting as the old site and new template didn't merge well. The issue I've had after reset is that it also cleared my admin login and I couldn't log back in. It appears to have deleted the whole admin and database. It's a good thing it was a staging site and have done the backup first before rest but not can't also access this too.

Is it possible to completely, and cleanly, re-install WordPress this method as well? Given a major increase in malware these days, I'd like to be able to manage a complete fresh install of everything - who's to say that the default state your website is placed in once doing the above, does not include the malware?

@MeditationSpa I had the same problem and call my hosting company , they helped to reset password and user name. But you can try this: do not put your user name but instead put admin and your password. that what worked for me. please let me know if it will work for you.

If I want to wipe out everything but only want to recover my WooCommerce products which are like 5k, does the option of Database + Files (WordPress Files) work out? I want to maintain my products but start over everything again.
It will clean out the database and reset it to how it was when you first installed WordPress. It will leave files on your server, that is why I deleted the media files before the database reset. Then after I manually removed the plugins. Any custom CSS would be stored in your database most likely, so it would be deleted.
What happens to your live and running website in terms of Google indexing and SEO if you do a reset? I think you should specify that it is only meant for the developing stage. Or am I wrong? What should you do when you have a running website and you want to start over cause you realize it has many leftovers from past years? I have a running website (paid theme and classic editor) yor many years which is doing very good in rankings but I want to rebuild with gutenberg and Astra theme for speed purposes. No errors. I also want to get rid of all the plugins and start over (W3 total cache, sliders etc.). Should I do a reset or try rebuilding every single page (and how? with duplicate page plugin?). What about the plugins? Will they go away or will they leave trash back? Is resetting the whole WP the best option or not?

Guysss so I just did this and it logged me out with a notice saying "Unknown email address. Check again or try your username". I went right to their 24/7 customer support chat and they showed me how to delete the website itself and restart it. That wasn't a problem since I was starting from scratch anyway. But if you get that notice just talk to their support team and they'll help u out in 2 minutes.

Now, when I make any changes to the published posts, they are getting automatically updated even when I am not pressing the update button. I want to update the post only after making all the changes.

What's the fix after your login shows up populated with your credentials and won't work. Says user not on file.

Does taking backup keeps a backup of the theme too? or that's not something I am going to lose if I reset my website?

Does this totally wipe all the old files from your hosting? (Images different sizes, old settings in database etc)?
