Something I want people to think about before they decry gamers using modded gear: Diablo 3 has an element I have not seen in the previous Diablo games. What is this element? Challenges. What is wrong with these challenges? Well, one quality that sets a game apart from others is Replayability: something about the game that will let you enjoy playing it over and over, such as completing Final Fantasy IV with a different combination of classes and gear. If so, that game has good Replayability value. With Diablo 3, instead of just having Replay value, we have those damned Challenges. Some of the challenges go like this: 1) complete this activity 1000 times (once done, it unlocks the challenge to do what?) 2) complete that same activity 5000 or 10,000 times (once that is complete, it unlocks the challenge to do what? Yes, you guessed it: 3) Complete that same activity 1,000,000 times. "Bounteous Maximus" is a challenge that follows that pattern and I am giving up on playing fetch the stick on bounties or killing one million enemies in Nephalem Rifts. Blizzard is trying to turn the gamers into Obsessive-Compulsive lemmings who will play "Fetch the Stick" for the next five to ten years or however long it would take someone to complete those "one million" challenges. Also, some of the tasks are completely random (Killing certain random-generalted enemy types or the Lord Of Bells). Since the gamer has *no control* over makng these enemies appear, this is basically Gambling...another addiction: If you opened a Nephalem rift to complete the Lord Of Bells (LOB) task and the rift didn't spawn the LOB, you must keep opening rifts, hoping to finally get the LOB dungeon, similar to pulling the lever on a slot machine over and over, hoping to win the huge jackpot or playing to lottery to win the MegaMillions. Studies in Psychology show that the most difficult behaviors to extinguish are those that are rewarded randomly. So, if Blizzard instills this compulsive behavior or gambling behavior into the gamers, then, by all means, let the gamers use modded items to reduce how much time out of their lives is wasted completing these challenges, which have absolutely NOTHING to do with the replay value of Diablo 3. I played the Legend of Zelda countless times simply because I enjoyed playing, not because Nintendo challenged me to kick Gannon's ass one million times. So, if you decide to complete these "Fetch The Stick" challenges, keep track of how many hours it takes you to complete a few of them, then ask yourself if that time would be better spent at the gym or out walking or jogging or cycling...or reading some books.
game breaking. i got to 70 on my ps4 barb and went online. first dude i met was running through those rifts so fast it made this video look weak in comparison. gave me a bunch of gear that made that stuff look like toys. i had no cooldown timers, nearly invincible, never ran out of fury, and when i went to face the final boss of RoS on torment 16 i was done with him in 5 seconds. there's no fun to be had there. not unless you've already grinded your way up to Max stats and you're just looking for casual kicks but even then, id like to think people still want to be challenged. my hammer was slamming for something like 10 quadrillion. not million, not billion, not trillion.... quadrillion...

How is it fun to walk through a rift without a proper build, without grinding for anything, no goal, no leaderboards and absolutely no reason to play at that point whilst at the same time you just hold your left stick forward and basically don’t even playing the game. Dude didn’t cast a single spell the whole rift and has nothing to grind for and he said “yah this is fun”. What? Am I missing something here someone please Lmk

I tried some modded gears in offline mode just to feel how it feels to be godlike. It feels great but after some time the game gets boring. The real challenge is to play the game the normal way and get as far as you can. Everything else is simply cheating yourself and everyone else.
