This is crazy. I have been looking into 9th gen accords as a new longterm daily. But with the oil consumption issues, now this AC problem. Idk. Edit: my 07 Camry CE, base model 5 speed manual hit 316k miles problem free. Till it got totaled. Sucks because I really love how the 9th gen accords look. My gfs 07 Civic Si had the same problem with her AC, it was the relay. But even with that fixed, it takes a long time for it to get cold.
Vinskikauski Amourelius yeah my friend had oil problems we fought the dealer to Maxx they replace the oil rings on pistons now less than 10k miles later same issue
RB The Mechanic thats crazy man. Guess ill look for another manual trans camry. And to think, I was about to buy someones 2014 Accord Sport 6MT with 93k miles for $12k cash. Ill save that and spend half that on another used camry.
Thats strange, never heard of that with the 9th gens. My v6 with 161k doesnt consume a drop of oil. However I did just start having the ac issue but other than that my 13 coupe manual has been great for the miles it has
Amerikai, well the oil consumption seems to be with the 4cyl DI engines. Not sure about the V6 since they are port injected plus you have the VCM feature which returns great mpg at fwy speeds. If the Accord sedan was offered with a V6 manual i would definitely consider that.
@@Hakuna_My_Tatas Actually only the auto v6 accords got VCM, the manual versions like mine don't have it lol. I tried this and sadly it didn’t work, it doesn’t appear I have a leak anywhere and my system holds refrigerant, so I’m hoping it’s a bad low pressure switch causing it to not run. I had the entire AC system replaced so I have my doubts about the parts but we’ll see
Ur not diagnosing the system propperly check ac pressure if u need to reserviced the system pressure can be fault air pressure or too much and air will expand with hot temp that’s why I always recommend clear all doubt recover vaccum and recharge the system to be sure anyways. Toooo much pressure ac will cut off to little it will not come on even if it work it will blow hot with air pressure anyways start with confirmation of propper recharge
Check ur Freon on to see if it has pressure it maybe have leak and it will not work without pressure also the ac pressure switch can be bad. When u put ac on dose both radiator fans come on?
@@RBTheMechanic ok I might have to get the Freon recharged then umm no I don’t think my radiator fans were coming on at all when I was messing with the ac on button

If the car sits over night and I put a good fuse in it will not blow for 10-15 min and ac blows cold, once I take it for a drive and it revs up the fuse blows, any thoughts on what it could be blowing fuse?
Change the relay it could be faulty relay. If that don’t work get it to a point where it blows immediately and then disconnect the one wire connector to ac compressor and retry it if it dosent blow then u have short in ac compressor but do do a further diagnostic in wiring
What relay is it here ? After the fuse blows in 5 min if I go to replace immediately after the fuse will blow instantly, I have not changed the relay it’s not labeled in under my fuse box cover like your video
@@jackscrodd4475 it should tell u MG CLUTCH

But yeah thats strange that the 4 cyl ones have that issue because that engine is very similar to the 7th and 8th gen only with DI and my 7th gen 4 cyl didnt have that problem either and it was higher mileage too
thank u sir
Hey I have a 2016 civic and when I turn on the AC. It’s not engaging. Do you what’s wrong with?

Good info thanks 🙏
Ivan Pena thank you please subscribe
I tried this and sadly it didn’t work, it doesn’t appear I have a leak anywhere and my system holds refrigerant, so I’m hoping it’s a bad low pressure switch causing it to not run. I had the entire AC system replaced so I have my doubts about the parts but we’ll see
Dose ur ac compressor come on? Check to see if ur compressor engages have some one put ac switch on and off
Do you need to disconnect the battery before removing the fuse or relay?
no
@@BonerHornbuckle lol, As the Video itself it's COMPLETE JOKE..same with the comments 👏😜😆 1-2-3-4 -5 -6 -7 LOL
If u had to ask that, u shouldn’t try to fix your car.
Tanks bro
Did it work?
Thank you.....
Prandi Pitamber no problem please subscribe also check out and subscribe to my other channel the name is rcusa201
I have a 2014 Accord V6 I change the compressor coil and the relay now it only works when I take off the battery terminal and put it back on
Ur not diagnosing the system propperly check ac pressure if u need to reserviced the system pressure can be fault air pressure or too much and air will expand with hot temp that’s why I always recommend clear all doubt recover vaccum and recharge the system to be sure anyways. Toooo much pressure ac will cut off to little it will not come on even if it work it will blow hot with air pressure anyways start with confirmation of propper recharge
Subscribed, i like you
Soo what if it’s not the relay or fuse ughhhh😩
Check ur Freon on to see if it has pressure it maybe have leak and it will not work without pressure also the ac pressure switch can be bad. When u put ac on dose both radiator fans come on?
@@RBTheMechanic ok I might have to get the Freon recharged then umm no I don’t think my radiator fans were coming on at all when I was messing with the ac on button
@@Kev506 ok it might have leaked check it if it’s empty charge the system with due to trace the leaks
I have the same problem , its relay and its not fuse, i fill with ac fluid 500gr as i have read its enough , right now i dont really know what to do
Do NOT EVER buy parts from the dealer! $40 for a relay?? Nope! They are around $10 anywhere else but the dealer. Instead of the name dealership, should be called stealershyt. (Steal ur shyt)
Yeah I pay 12-16
@@RBTheMechanic hey thank you so so much for your video! Bcuz of you, I finally fixed my A/C today! I replaced the relay a month ago but it didn’t fix anything. I didn’t know to change the blower fuse. I’ve been trying to learn how to fix my car for all things that come my way and no videos were helpful for me until I watched you. You have changed my work life cuz I deliver 10-12 hours during this heat wave. It was misery! So thank you, in grateful for u!!! You KNOW ur shyt! I had no warm air at allllll. So happy!!!
@@sdbh1239 nice good job!!!
My ac is not blowing at all
No air at all? That blower motor issue I would try high speed and bang on the motor it might come on
