Santa is based off of a monk by the name of Saint Nicholas born around A.D. 280 in Patara, near Myra in modern-day Turkey; and even tho he's passed over, he is alive & well in Heaven (even tho the "Santa" story of today has changed quite a bit😄). ❤ Love is real and from what I know, Love is what the Holy Spirit is & while I can't see it, I know it exists bc I believe in it & have experienced it. I am currently struggling with being deeply religious, but my heart has been so conflicted between earthily desires and heavenly spiritual desires… i have been coming into more spiritual light as a recent Catholic Convert this year! Wow, there is so much to learn! I am being transformed, but ever so slowly and the battleground is difficult sometimes.. I am so touched and moved and enlightened by the Truth you are speaking about being born again … truly being open to God and to come into an honest understanding of one’s self! Remember God is good all of the time even when sending you trials. There are reasons for it. Water is mist, the dew that God sends down on all, good or evil.But the spirit is the breath of God. When I became a Catholic 61 years ago at the age of 20, I made something called the Heroic Act. It's when you offer all your merits for the souls in purgatory. And it is said that when you die you won't have Purgatory because all your life you gave everything for their relief and relief. You can look it up online for greater detail. Just to expand on Nicodemus, to the level that I am able, Nicodemus was a Pharisee and one of the leading Pharisees in Jerusalem during the time that Jesus was there. It has been implied in a series about Jesus’ ministry, that Nicodemus was Caiaphus’ mentor and that they (Nicodemus and Caiaphus) has some strong disagreement regarding Caiaphus’ obsessive persecution of Jesus. This is not stated in Scripture but could very easily (and likely) be in historical documents in the old Jewish histories or old documents in the Vatican library. Nicodemus IS addressed in John 3:20 or 21 (?) and continues in that chapter. I am a poor scholar because I have read the Bible and many chapters and books more than once, but I never took the time memorizing chapter and verse to call out during a presentation. Because of the controversy surrounding Jesus during his time in Jerusalem and Caiaphus’ obsessive observations, (my interpretation) Joseph of Aramathea and Nicodemus both took care to visit Jesus discreetly to avoid the political implications. Nicodemus was puzzled by Jesus’ teachings about being born again and asked Jesus (paraphrasing) how could an old man return to his mother’s womb to be born again? Jesus went on to explain, at that time (John 3). Later, after Jesus was crucified, Joseph of Aramathea and Nicodemus received permission from Pilate to take Jesus down from the cross and they did so. Nicodemus had brought with him Myrrh and Aloe to prepare him for his burial and I have heard it said that one of them brought fine cloth to wrap him in which I would guess is the shroud of Turin and helps explain why the cloth has lasted so well for so long. Maybe so and no doubt it is fine cloth but if the supernatural strength of the Talma (sic?) of Our Lady of Guadalupe has lasted as long as it has while made from a rough cloth woven from vegetable fibers that normally decomposes is a relatively short time but has survived for centuries and even through a bombing, I have no doubt that the cloth wrapped around Jesus during his resurrection with the scientific analyses suggesting immense power capable of producing a negative image during the 1st Century when such power and technology was unknown on Earth at that time would likely play a key role in the preservation of that Shroud for Eternity and Beyond (! no disrespect intended but some humor interjected!). There is no way we can really know as his resurrection is not something that has been repeated to allow scientific comparisons. Apologies for the rabbit trail, though I think it is a very VERY important artifact. One last thing, regarding Nicodemus: I have read as fact that Nicodemus was so angry about the treatment and crucifixion of the Messiah, who he recognized as such, that he stormed off the Council of the Pharisees and created real problems for Caiaphus, who subsequently became suspect as the corrupt and foolish Pharisee that crucified the Messiah. I have no idea where this information comes from, whether from Jewish records, records from Constantinople (to the Vatican libraries?) or if it written in scripture, in Acts (one would presume) but he is not referred to by name but maybe as the Pharisee who came to him at night or maybe the Pharisee who prepared his body for burial - I cannot say. As I said above, I am no scholar. However, because there have been suggestions that Caiaphus worked closely with the Romans but was unpopular with the Jews AND with his peers might be taken with a grain of salt if it was written by Jesus’ Apostles vs it being a matter of record in Old Jewish Historical Documents. I truly wish I WAS a scholar, to be granted access to the Vatican Library and the Jewish Archives, simply for some fascinating reading. Don’t we all? You speak of a love we should have for GOD and I would like to say that I do. A fearsome and absolute respect, from the womb, most assuredly. (A story for another time, maybe). But as a single mother and then as a caregiver to a very very sick husband, he did not always come first. I love HIM, most assuredly! But, I think, not enough. My ignorance in the more important matters is appalling and I can only hope and pray that I did not dig a path to perdition for myself and my Children. My apologies for going on, too long. Again.

I go to heaven every time I walk into the true holt Latin Holy mass in Athlone or wherever the Holy sacrifice of the Holy Latin Mass is being celebrated and Calvery comes to life, this is most difinately walking into heaven as I walk through the doors I walk through the gates of heaven, and as I approach the alter rails for Holy Communion, I walk towards heavens gates as I ascend to the Sacred alter I ascend toward heavens open gates, since going back to tradition where mam and dad were born, I leave earth and walk into heaven. Look up Fr Chad Ripperger and feel heaven come down to earth just as it does when those Holy alter cloths come down upon us to hold before the Holy priest offers to us the body of the Godman, it's something like nothing on earth because it is nothing on earth but its heaven on earth.

No most Jews did not accept Jesus as Messiah, did not believed that He rose from the dead. There was little disagreement on the crucifixion of Jesus " the troublemaker"

The work of Christ on the cross is enough to save you. You don't need purgatory. The sinner on the cross went with Him to paradise that very same day. Stop misleading people.
Sorry it is you who have been mislead and are now seeking to mislead people. I don't blame you for this as you likely belong to a tradition which only singles out some verses of Scripture and ignores others. Yes, Jesus did say to the repentant this, "This day you will be with me in paradise, but where was this paradise. Three days later Jesus said, "I have not yet ascended to my Father." And where was he during these three days. Peter tells us that he was ministering to the souls in prison. And what was this prison if not purgatory? Furthermore we do not know the particular circumstances of the good thief's life, but we do know he showed deep repentance, and from their lives we can see that many people who claim to be relying on the cross of Jesus are in grave sin, and risk being told "Depart from Me your cursed ......"

I am currently struggling with being deeply religious, but my heart has been so conflicted between earthily desires and heavenly spiritual desires… i have been coming into more spiritual light as a recent Catholic Convert this year! Wow, there is so much to learn! I am being transformed, but ever so slowly and the battleground is difficult sometimes.. When I became a Catholic 61 years ago at the age of 20, I made something called the Heroic Act. It's when you offer all your merits for the souls in purgatory. And it is said that when you die you won't have Purgatory because all your life you gave everything for their relief and relief. You can look it up online for greater detail. Just to expand on Nicodemus, to the level that I am able, Nicodemus was a Pharisee and one of the leading Pharisees in Jerusalem during the time that Jesus was there. It has been implied in a series about Jesus’ ministry, that Nicodemus was Caiaphus’ mentor and that they (Nicodemus and Caiaphus) has some strong disagreement regarding Caiaphus’ obsessive persecution of Jesus. This is not stated in Scripture but could very easily (and likely) be in historical documents in the old Jewish histories or old documents in the Vatican library. Nicodemus IS addressed in John 3:20 or 21 (?) and continues in that chapter. I am a poor scholar because I have read the Bible and many chapters and books more than once, but I never took the time memorizing chapter and verse to call out during a presentation. Because of the controversy surrounding Jesus during his time in Jerusalem and Caiaphus’ obsessive observations, (my interpretation) Joseph of Aramathea and Nicodemus both took care to visit Jesus discreetly to avoid the political implications. Nicodemus was puzzled by Jesus’ teachings about being born again and asked Jesus (paraphrasing) how could an old man return to his mother’s womb to be born again? Jesus went on to explain, at that time (John 3). Later, after Jesus was crucified, Joseph of Aramathea and Nicodemus received permission from Pilate to take Jesus down from the cross and they did so. Nicodemus had brought with him Myrrh and Aloe to prepare him for his burial and I have heard it said that one of them brought fine cloth to wrap him in which I would guess is the shroud of Turin and helps explain why the cloth has lasted so well for so long. Maybe so and no doubt it is fine cloth but if the supernatural strength of the Talma (sic?) of Our Lady of Guadalupe has lasted as long as it has while made from a rough cloth woven from vegetable fibers that normally decomposes is a relatively short time but has survived for centuries and even through a bombing, I have no doubt that the cloth wrapped around Jesus during his resurrection with the scientific analyses suggesting immense power capable of producing a negative image during the 1st Century when such power and technology was unknown on Earth at that time would likely play a key role in the preservation of that Shroud for Eternity and Beyond (! no disrespect intended but some humor interjected!). There is no way we can really know as his resurrection is not something that has been repeated to allow scientific comparisons. Apologies for the rabbit trail, though I think it is a very VERY important artifact. One last thing, regarding Nicodemus: I have read as fact that Nicodemus was so angry about the treatment and crucifixion of the Messiah, who he recognized as such, that he stormed off the Council of the Pharisees and created real problems for Caiaphus, who subsequently became suspect as the corrupt and foolish Pharisee that crucified the Messiah. I have no idea where this information comes from, whether from Jewish records, records from Constantinople (to the Vatican libraries?) or if it written in scripture, in Acts (one would presume) but he is not referred to by name but maybe as the Pharisee who came to him at night or maybe the Pharisee who prepared his body for burial - I cannot say. As I said above, I am no scholar. However, because there have been suggestions that Caiaphus worked closely with the Romans but was unpopular with the Jews AND with his peers might be taken with a grain of salt if it was written by Jesus’ Apostles vs it being a matter of record in Old Jewish Historical Documents. I truly wish I WAS a scholar, to be granted access to the Vatican Library and the Jewish Archives, simply for some fascinating reading. Don’t we all?
You speak of a love we should have for GOD and I would like to say that I do. A fearsome and absolute respect, from the womb, most assuredly. (A story for another time, maybe). But as a single mother and then as a caregiver to a very very sick husband, he did not always come first. I love HIM, most assuredly! But, I think, not enough. My ignorance in the more important matters is appalling and I can only hope and pray that I did not dig a path to perdition for myself and my Children.

I go to heaven every time I walk into the true holt Latin Holy mass in Athlone or wherever the Holy sacrifice of the Holy Latin Mass is being celebrated and Calvery comes to life, this is most difinately walking into heaven as I walk through the doors I walk through the gates of heaven, and as I approach the alter rails for Holy Communion, I walk towards heavens gates as I ascend to the Sacred alter I ascend toward heavens open gates, since going back to tradition where mam and dad were born, I leave earth and walk into heaven. Look up Fr Chad Ripperger and feel heaven come down to earth just as it does when those Holy alter cloths come down upon us to hold before the Holy priest offers to us the body of the Godman, it's something like nothing on earth because it is nothing on earth but its heaven on earth.
What a terrible pity you have not come to truly love the Mass, but are dependent on it being in Latin

The work of Christ on the cross is enough to save you. You don't need purgatory. The sinner on the cross went with Him to paradise that very same day. Stop misleading people.
Sorry it is you who have been mislead and are now seeking to mislead people. I don't blame you for this as you likely belong to a tradition which only singles out some verses of Scripture and ignores others. Yes, Jesus did say to the repentant this, "This day you will be with me in paradise, but where was this paradise. Three days later Jesus said, "I have not yet ascended to my Father." And where was he during these three days. Peter tells us that he was ministering to the souls in prison. And what was this prison if not purgatory? Furthermore we do not know the particular circumstances of the good thief's life, but we do know he showed deep repentance, and from their lives we can see that many people who claim to be relying on the cross of Jesus are in grave sin, and risk being told "Depart from Me your cursed ......"
