    Such a good job on re-building your prison bus! I have to say I'm really liking your format, the way you narrate. It's like watch a show on Discovery. Really like it!

      +j jones ... wow, that means a lot! I was hoping someone someday would watch through like you’re doing

    Watching you struggle with the 12' panels over the windows....I imagined all the scenarios I could of used to trick the Significant Other to come out and help. The "Wounded thumb", The "Drink of Water" and my personal fav... " Hey babe...come out and check out the progress so far!" Then let her see the hap-hazzard panels...let her offer the critique and the solution then thank her for the offer to help and have her hold the panels.... Win/Win!

      All good ideas! Asking for help is a tough one .... I like your tricks

    • @hedgerow.homestead
      @hedgerow.homestead 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      metaspencer one very similar to yours - tho I have never found a prison bus for sale here so it will probably be a school bus ;). We do want a flat nose bus vs a dognose. Full sized as there are 6 of us

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sounds awesome! plenty of room for bunks and such in a long bus

      we just need to find the perfect bus for us. we are in Canada - I am jealous of some of the deals to be had south of the border.

    What did you use to seal the windows back up? 3m 550? Also how many windows did 1 tube do? Thanks.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Polyurethane ... 3 or 4 tubes as I recall. Get it real clean first

    • @joebuslife9275
      @joebuslife9275 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thx I already got 2 of the 3m stuff based on recommendations on skoolie net Sounds like it might be enough for my half size bus. Did you test the windows seals with the bus on to see if they rattle at all? That's what i was worried about besides waterproofing.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sounds like you have a great plan. 3m stuff will be good. My windows don’t rattle as they were never opened... but yes, test yours! And good luck

    3:28 - The grid work holds the cement better by supplying more surface area.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes perfect sense! I never thought of that, but you've got a good point

    What did you do with the windows behind the shower, are you going to block that part out

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +William Keehn ... I’ll block them from the outside with sheet metal ... an upcoming job and learning opportunity

    Found your videos from Skoolie (dot) net. A plethora of info in these videos, thank you and keep them coming.
    Side note: For future viewers that find your videos... put the playlist in the right order, from 1 - 22. Right now you have them backwards and it involves a lot of extra clicking.

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for checking out the channel. I haven't tinkered with a playlist before, so will try to make that change. Thanks for the tip!

    Why did you not cover the windows behind the shower? Also, why not insulate back there? You are doing a magnificent job, by the way!

    • @metaspencer
      @metaspencer  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Leanna Kysar-Mercer ... doh! Thanks for the idea... I'll try to stuff some back there. Windows will be covered on the outside in that section....
