The Similarities Between Snowboarding and Skimboarding

- There are not too many places in the world where you can do both of these board sports in the same day. The other weekend I had the pleasure of heading up to Bear Mountain with Andre Magarao. Knowing that the wind were turning offshore at the beach and the snow was just getting slushier, we decided to ditch the mountains and head for the sand. What we found at our local skim spot was pleasantly surprising so we suited up and decided to give our sore legs a bit more of a beating. To top it all off we also were able to see a Grey Whale before sunset. It was a special day to say the least.

This is exactly why as someone who's growing up in Massachusetts it's my dream to live in laguna beach. Beautiful beach there, great for skimboarding, yet you can go from palm trees to snow in just a few hours to snowboard. It sounds like heaven and really pushes me to do my best in college.
It is a special location for sure! Keep grinding in school and I am sure you will find your way out here.

That board looks almost like the original Snurfer (1st snowboard every made for the public) from back in the 1970s. It's improved quite a bit but its got that same original characteristics. I can tell you from experience, the Scurfer was hard to ride compared to snow skis going down a mountain. People were riding round skim boards back then just for comparison.

strummed my memory strings of long ago doing something similar. If you consider
16hrs a day in two hour blocks that's 8 things you could do if the conditions are right.
