They forgot Mulhorand which had a greater then usual population of both Tieflings and Aasimar, including the hosts of Gods. Also some FR Gods had began appearing to Tieflings in Tiefling form.
I have a Tiefling community that formed in a Brazil like region. they found ancient ruins from an aztec/mayan like culture and now have a haven. They now have their own language after learning the heiroglyphics in the runes as their alphabet.
He would never use the dash on the Zed. you should have to have near perfect penmenship/Runework or it would fail. That would require proper curce on the S and proper angles on the Zeds
The ammount of times the official pronounciation on anything in D&D has changed basically every edition. look at the 4th edition website as a prime example, the FAQ pronounciation guide was horrible and almost entirely changed for 5th
