Hey all, hope you enjoy the video! I said this in the video but just in case you forget and/or missed it, I'm gonna be giving away 2 copies each of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet when November rolls around over on Twitter, it's the least I can do for you guys being there in case of the emergency of TH-cam being a goof and deleting my channel or something stupid like that. It could happen, I've seen it happen to others! twitter.com/ChaoticMeatball
Little do we know, Meatball was editing this video in a library and this commenter is a Nintendo piracy ninja, almost blowing their cover by laughing in the ventilation shaft above
Hell yeah, can't wait! My only criticism a minute into it is that I really miss the graphic from the last video where you showed which pokemon had been used up until now. It was a great way of showing how the pool keeps getting smaller and I was hoping it was gonna come back in every video. EDIT: Ah, I see it does show up right at the end. I still prefer it to be at the start, but glad to see it's not completetly vanished.
Colosseum is an interesting addition to one of these challenges. I've never Nuzlocked it before, but I can imagine it's a tough one considering there are so few catches available. Excellent job thus far! Going deathless this long is incredible.
Colosseum is obscenely difficult to Nuzlocke due to Hyper Mode mechanics wasting a turn and purification coming in about 40% of the way into the game. XD Gale of Darkness...would be marginally easier despite Shadow moves being super effective if he hadn't already used most of the core defensive and utility options available. Next installment of the series should be interesting, to say the least.
@@istokipsy6289 I’d say that there’s still plenty of viable encounters in Gale to choose from, assuming he doesn’t use them up in Emerald. Vaporeon/Jolteon, Claydol, Walrein, Houndoom, and others. So I think he’ll be geeenerally fine.
@@thephantomist7199 Claydol might as well be saved for ORAS. A level 36 evolution hurts when you're only able to evolve by the time Cipher Key Lair rolls around. Houndoom, Walrein and Breloom are the likely candidates here, but I think he's only going to have one of them as an option due to them all being at the same caught location. He's out Arcanine, Donphan, Jumpluff, Xatu, Electrode, Forretress, and Quagsire for defensive + utility options and out Ursaring and Hariyama for main attackers...which are most of the better options in the game. It's going to be rough.
Honestly, the deathlessness of these runs make it boring for me. There's no stakes, you know how the video is going to go after watching the first run. He has his entire encounter list picked out and even EV trains, which remove the thrill of it as it comes across as too calculated. It really sucks because I was so excited when I watched the first video, but by the end I was kind of bored
@@perrytheplatypus2184 yeah i think he should have chosen either EV training OR party selection. Or get EV training and limit himself to a single party pick.
My favourite series is Chrism360 beating the Emerald Battle Tower with every type but this one I am definitely looking forward to as well. It is nice to see every game before S/V and the constriction is interesting and get more interesting the deeper he gets into the games. I already like thinking about why he would keep specific Pokémon until later, like Ninetales to use Alolan Ninetales, waiting for Clefairy to gain the Fairy type, waiting for Mega-Medicham, waiting for Crawdaunt to get useful physical Water moves after the upcoming physical/special split, et cetera.
I think there's a ton to do between gyms in Hoenn! It's all optional but I'm a freak and love optional content and exploration. I understand the criticism but this is what I live for.
Emerald is bae. My favorite game ever. Only thing I don't like is the special/physical attacks being based on type. Gen 3 remakes with the new abilities, physical and special attacks per type, fairy type and new tms, those are cool too.
Imma be real with you. I thought this was going to be filler content and thought you were just scrambling, but this one really resonates with me and has been a joy to watch. Sorry I doubted you!
On my Norman fight in my Emerald nuzlocke, I didn't have a protect mon because my wingull died to a crit. So my answer instead was to take my highest Def pokemon and Hariyama with Fake Out. I swapped in my high def mon when slaking came out, then swapped into hariyama on a truant turn. Then used fake out then vital throw, then rinsed and repeated for a deathless, protectless Norman. I was very proud of the strat

I'VE ALWAYS WANTED A CONCEPT LIKE THIS TO EXIST! THIS IS SUCH AN AWESOME SERIES!! I hope to see more! I'm very excited to see what pokemon you'll use. You use so many interesting unique ones- I would've never suspected anyone to use a Keckleon of all pokemon. But this is so cool.

Not using the same Pokemon twice is such a great unique idea and makes for some really interesting teams. Great seeing Illumise getting some love in Ruby. It's a very underrated Pokemon with Encore and a decent movepool (with TM's). It accentuates a lot of the better Pokemon in the game too. My favorite Gen 3 Nuzlocke core was Swampert + Illumise + Swellow. Swampert baits Grass moves, switch and Encore, swap to Swellow and KO it. Swellow baits Electric move, switch to Swampert and KO it.
I’ve been loving this series! Makes me want to do a nuzlocke gauntlet myself. Also with Entei, I often give sub legendaries like the bird and beast trio a pass in nuzlockes since their base stat total is lower than pseudo legendaries like Garchomp, Metagross, etc (580 vs 600). Give you a chance to use Pokémon that are often overlooked and left out of play throughs (: Keep up the great work on this series, it’s awesome!

Im especially gonna have fun with this one. Gen 3 being my personal favorite (and my first, definitely no correlation)
I respect your commitment to the SpongeBob bit. It was a good point, and worth every second.
"how does a cat have thunder powers?" well the same way it knocks up a whale, with pure willpower
I was going to make a Thundercats joke but honestly this comment is just better.
I'm really loving this series!
It's so cool watching how kind of easy these games were with proper set up for weaker mons.
If I could make a suggestion, can the dead pokemon appear on the thumbnail so they're solidified/remembered from death?
this series is NUTS and i am obsessed.
It’s weird how I went from watching your Kanto video, to watching you play Junior Journey, to Pokémon TCG, back to Johto and Hoenn. Not that I’m complaining! Love your videos, Meatball
Watching this series now. Great content and its fun to see chaotic go through my favorite pokemon games of all time! The colleseum nuzlocke is good work. I played it for the first time recently and found it to be the most challenging pokemon game ive ever played
You are the GOAT! you spent so much time planning for these videos and I really enjoy the pacing! Can’t wait for the next videos
Started the series yesterday and I'm thrilled to witness the journey. Thanks for making these!
I bet this series is gonna boost your channel like crazy. I think its amazing and you just earned yourself a new a sub.
I have only been listening to these so far since I have played so much Pokemon that I don't need to see it to know what's going on with your stellar commentary but I watched this one and I have to say that your intro with the rotating Treecko had me choking on my laugh. Good series man.
55:10 "How does a cat have thunder powers?" Man's clearly never seen Thundercats.
Finally!! I was waiting so badly for this!
Great video! You got pretty lucky with the colosseum RNG cause they can send out their teams in any order, so Evice could have sent out his slowking with the slaking and the skill swap would have been brutal. Great work!
So far i'm liking this Nuzlocking adventure, It's been a pleasure to watch and come up with wild and whacky teams.
@55:14 "How the hell does a cat have thunder powers"...Lion-O Enters the chat, "Thunder, Thunder, THUNDER CATS...HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"
Torkal surviving on 2 Hp to turn around and 1 shot with overheat is an anime moment. She said not today, Steven
I am loving this series! This idea is awesome! I also didn’t realize that the Pokémon company released 7 gen 3 games! I always forget that Colosseum and XD were released on the GameCube
I’m really happy to see this. I just got over a horrid migraine and I needed a distraction
Yes! arguably my favourite generation. Hard choice between 1 and 3, very nostalgia biased though as I never played the game boy games as a kid, only the game boy advance ones. Cheers for this series, I love it.
Really like your idea for this series. :)
Since you asked, how we liked your way of handeling the commentary of the Collusseum game, in my opinion, you can just keep it the way you did here for XD.
Calling Treecko the worst Hoenn starter is like saying Strawberry is the worst flavour of ice cream. At the end of the day, its still ice cream. The balance of the Hoenn starters is virtually unmatched in the series
maybe not strawberry specifically, but the point is clear!
been catching up on this serie and loving it! what a crazy ride so far~
Loving this series. Great idea. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to entertain us!
I have to say, this is probably my new favorite series by far on TH-cam, and I have to do this challenge for myself now
Did anyone else notice on 16:51 the 99 rare candies in the bag lol?
Yesss I’ve been waiting for this since the last one lets gooooooo 🎉🎉🎉
Dude! Im so glad I came upon your challenge this early on the series. You have been a blessing to watch!
So, idk why but I'm actually excited when these videos drop. Mostly because I'm 32. I feel too old to be excited for a video on my childhood games
I love the ocasional insanity moments when you're ranting about weird or stupid mechanics
Yay!!! The newest entry!! I love this video series!! I just have one request: can you start breaking them up in sections since more games are probably going to be played for more generations?
Like have the same video but broken into sections or chapters?
Enjoying the Franchise-locke so far, keep them coming
