- With rumors surrounding the availability of Davante Adams and Amari Cooper, Shan, RJ, and Bobby discussed whether or not Dallas could bring those players or a running back from the Carolina Panthers into the fold ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline.

@rodneysnextchapter615 I wouldn't have him back anyway. He's not a $20 million dollar a year receiver and he doesn't move the needle anymore. Their qb1 can't get him the ball, and he always wants to run the ball. All that money tied up in a running back qb is a damn shame. Imagine having Njoku, Cooper, Chubb, Garrett and whatever damn players they have and being that sorry. What a sorry ass general manager and ownership but nope all anyone wants to talk about is the Cowboys. 😆

Go get Jeffrey Simmons from Tennessee. Fills our biggest position of need, Titans stink and they just drafted his replacement in Sweat whose looked like a stud so far. He's making enough that the draft capital to get him shouldn't be too egregious
Its cool to talk about the receivers. The reality is, they are not going to pay Davante, and they arent going to trade for Amari as the team clearly had issues with him, and gave him away. If they traded for a receiver I think it would be for an upgrade to Cooks, and 5th/6th round type guy than 3rd round guy. A guy thats a good solid 2 not someone that can be a number 1. Any RB that costs more than a 5th to trade for, I think you can forget about, they werent even willing to pay 5m a year for a RB let alone trade for one and have to pay him. I think this is the team they are riding with, outside of some bodies that cost a conditional 7th round pick 2 yrs from now type of trade. The Jones's were clearly punting this year, and I dont see them changing their mind mid way through the season. Hell, they didnt even try to make a trade to improve the team last year when 1 player could have made a difference to a team with SB asperations. One player isnt helping this team, unless you're getting Chris Jones.

If you spend the money this year on a player that's not under contract next year then you still have the same amount of cap money for 2025

I can't fathom JJ trading for Adams. As far as Cooper goes, why on earth would the Cowboys want him back considering how he left?

@@asmodeus1274 Seems like it was a little more than that. Apparently there were questions about his effort at times. And also, they traded major draft capital to get him, then sent him to Cleveland for what a 5th round pick? Now they would want him back? Besides, I think the offense's problems have more to do with not being able to run the ball and what looks to me like constant pressure off the edge and lack of creativity with route combos, motion etc.
Why? He got TO to come here.

@@19chaz76 JJ of today is not the JJ of 20 years ago! They had no LBs last year at the trade deadline and refused to do anything opting to use safeties instead. Had all offseason to bring in help after losing 7 or 8 starters and major contributing players . All we got was Kendricks. They rely on the draft and rookie free agents. I'd be shocked if they bring in anyone of significance that can step in at any position and start over a current player.
