In TUA we trust! Have never stopped supporting and believing in him since his glory days in high school, in Bama and now in Miami. I'm in Hawaii, and we support our guys from day 1! Mark my words, he will be the first one over Burrow and Herbert to bring home the chip!

Is Tua God?? Keep putting your trust in Tua. Make me understand why he's being elevated as King of QB's in the NFL. and why people have to walk on eggshells and get backlash in criticizing his performance. People are making an idol out of this young man and he's not a good QB. Bring home what chip?

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. People believe what they want to believe. Are you different? Everyone was 100% sure Matt Canada was slowing down the career of Kenny Pickett. We know this because... ummm... why is that again?
In the same division, an actual OC's actual play-calling was so bad TH-cam is *full* of videos showing it. & in that case, it turned MVP-calibre stats like 36 TDs to only 6 INTs down to 16 (less than half) to 13 (more than double) _PROVING_ it was the play-calling.
The same people dismiss it as Lamar being an over-glorified RB.
The vast majority of people do Not Want Facts: they want _narratives._ Again, is anyone here any different? Like every super-hero you can think of, every narrative has One Hero to many villains. For the vast majority of people here, their QB of choice is simply going to be White for a more obvious reason than Tua's left-handedness.
Which means every QB who _isn't_ is gonna not be regarded as one.

He's was overly-criticized (ie: that severe hip injury "didn't count" vs other new QB's who'd been injured and given a one or two season "pass") because (at that time) the Dolphins coaching staff and front office had their heads up their butt and were intentionally "feeding" negative information about him to the press. Worse yet, they were intentionally floating balloons about DeShawn Watson, Brady and a handful of other QBs they might trade for or make moves to bring in. They were doing little to nothing to support him publicly. He needed a life ring and they threw him a piano.
The kid is honest, hard-working, very very talented and just needed some OL help combined with weapons. He's a winner. A champion. He's not perfect but he will win far more games than he loses. RTR 13
PS: Kenny Stablers (southpaw) delivery always looked awkward as well. RIP Snake

Don't know why they call him noodle arm but they don't know Tua in his Alabama days. Tua's arm was bad ass then Justin Herbert, Jalen Hurts and Mac Jones. Miami knew who Tua Tagavailoa is. Flores and Fitztragic and the hater in the dolphins at the time were jealous of how Tua came in and replace thier one and only Fitztragic right away. Even Flores didn't want that so they try to ruin Tua with their play calling only short passes

I have rated Tua since fully taking an active interest in the college game in relation to the draft (uk Dolphins fan) the reason I became incredibly hot on Tua is that he was a lefty - this is based purely on the blind side of the o-line is notoriously hard to find top quality in so Tua having a great left arm makes protecting him so much easier as the blind side become the right of the o-line.

It's hard to know how much of the comeback against the Ravens was Tua & McDaniels or Greg Roman's responsibility. A video on his 'ineptness' as play-caller is what got me back into watching the NFL at the start of '22. What an eye-opener.
I've never seen a clearer-cut case of someone sabotaging their own QB. There are videos showing he always tips off opposing defenses as to where they're sending the run, how he sends receivers *into* double coverage: how he sends them on routes that _start_ in double coverage only to end up in 4X coverage, & one that accidentally PROVED he only called these plays when Lamar was at QB, not when Tyler Huntley was.
It created a continual series of plays where the WRs ran all the way down the field tiring themselves, Lamar had to scramble for his life because there were no check-downs, tiring him, & the o-line having to hold the pocket longer than humanly possible, tiring them.
The whole thing led to the Ravens' O constantly being exhausted for the 2nd half, leading to the defense to have to play most of it, becoming, you guessed it, tired. They had to chase after Waddle & Hill while tired. We lost three full years of an MVP QB's prime due to that.
    Ugh.

Tua is at the epicenter of a LOT of factors which contribute to the controversy both in and out of the Dolphins fandom.
1 is the hype and draft position. Tua coming out of college was one of the nost hyped prospects in years and was taken with a high pick, so when he didn't immediately lige up to said hype fans felt disappointed.
2 is that both of the other top QBs in that draft have seen immediate success/production. And many feel bitter about having passed up on who they think would have been a better option.
3 is a general disappointment in the franchise, seeing the team as "snake bitten" and constantly looking for excused to keep expectations low in order to avoid being disappointed by them.
4 Tua is an easy punching bag, you can safely rag on Tua because before last game, his stats were far from impressive, so writing him off became the default position. Which is also the reason you see a lot of media coverage of him tinted negatively.
6 is that yeah people are biased against lefties, and this compounds that melting pot of factors leading to the most controversial QB I've ever witnessed in the NFL since probably Tim Tebow

i don’t hate him, but i think he gets a bit too glorified for what he does. he’s had a good teo games so far. no doubt. but overall i feel like he isn’t as GREAT as he was in bama.. he is the QB people think mac or hurts is gonna be coming out of bama. he needs guys like waddle and hill to showcase his QB ability bc who the fuck wouldn’t put up 600+ yds in 2 games with two 4.0-4.3 WRs ? you give any QB that hell go off lol. so i just feel like before anyone can talk about him negatively, they need to see him without both of pro bowl caliber WRs first. i actually like tua but i need to see him when he has average WRs before i actually judge him

@@evertongchery9326 didn’t say he’s not great, he’s always been a ball slinger since the start, I’d like to see him with a mediocre offense team, offense coach, and a HC who doesn’t believe in him and also, no plays that let him throw the ball deeper than 25-30 yards😂,
Mahomes and Tua is a terrible comparison, I don’t think Tua will ever get to his level regardless, but Tua has had a rough start, he’s really just starting to play to his potential, this year will say a lot.
