Nicely done, Denise. You are obviously well practiced with your lettering. I love it. I still have my islet punch and small board! Love these pieces, Denise.
These are all great! I started Everything Circles a little late but am planning on complete the 30 days. I’ve been amazed at how many circle supplies I’ve doing in my stash. I love trying some of your ideas, too!
That's awesome! It's never too late to start, or finish! lol Yes I think circles was a wise choice on Birgit's part. I think it's a commonly used shape among many! Have fun!!!
Congratulations on finishing the challenge Denise, you did a fabulous job thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to seeing the journal all put together
I just found you and now want to binge watch your videos. Recently started dabbling in mixed media. Oh and I love the saying, so appropriate for me and some friends
I think a lot of people fall in that hoarding camp. smile! I couldn't afford scrapbook paper unless it was on a deep clearance rack and then I didn't want to use it for it was precious. So then I began looking into other "free" papers (security envelopes, decorative tissue boxes, tea envelopes, catalogs, etc.) and painty backgrounds (gelli prints and rubber stamps). I went from scrapbooking to making rubber stamped cards and still make them from time to time when I run out. I used to make cards, not one at a time, but many at a time. I mean, while I still had the stuff out, why make just one, so they were assembly line style. I think Dyan Reaveley does that too! smile!
@@DeniseLush I just made a bunch of what used to be known as serendipity paper or now it's called collage masterboard. I thought I could cut it up into postcards or atc's. I have a postcard rubber stamp for the back of it. It is mostly made up of scraps of paper mod-podged together. I have photos of what I glued all together on my latest video.
I am OBSESSED with artfoamies & Joggles foam stamps!!! I LOVE spraying them with dylusions/oxide sprays &/or using tombows (or any watercolor markers) and painting in the details of the stamps so every area is exactly the color I want it be right down to the most minute details..... I absolutely LOVE the color contrast in this piece you’re making!! The orange/teal look amazing together!!
Oh & btw, I still have scrapbook papers from like 15yrs age that I didn’t want to use that now I can’t use bc once I do, that’s it. They’re no longer in print 😫 it’s a common flaw amongst us lol
What a beautiful finish Denise!!! 👏👏👏 I didn't participate but I did do some circles. I knew I couldn't do 30 days because I'm soooooooo slowwwwww. Lol. I also love watching embossing powder melt. There's that "Me too" 😂 I also love watching watercolors move. I'll be looking out for your book video. You did a fabulous job and TFS. 🌹🌹🌹
We're just a bunch of fabulous weirdos here! lol Except I don't think loving those things are weird. lol I'm a slow art maker as well. I was almost always behind in this challenge. I would catch up, only to fall behind again. lol But who says you have to be finished the challenge. Take 2-3 months if you want!
I love your writing ❣️ Great page & your voice is very soothing. I too have hoards of supplies I can’t bear to part with, but I am finding new ways of using them. I agree with buying stuff as a hobby. Mixed media makes it fun to use and combine techniques. My old scrapbooking paper has become paper to gel print on to make them new and current. Plus it’s easier than breaking a blank white page 😅 Hahahah I have both those eyelet setters you mentioned. I would love the name of that circles stamp I “ NEED”” to have it. 😜
You inspire me with your work. I watch you use products that are tucked away in my stash of " I have to have that" and feel the push of Just Do It. Thank You. Looking forward to the Album
thanks so much. I'm glad you're seeing things that you have put to use! I am trying to figure out a binding method for my album now. Having troubles. Wish me luck.
Great pages! I am jealous how you think of these great ideas. It takes me forever to put a page together. Maybe that’s why I just made it to day 12. Everything circles is my first challenge where I actually shared so I will do better next year. Not sure if I will continue. Anyway I have to laugh at some of the things you say. I too have all my products from day one of scrapbooking, cards and now mixed media. Paper....omg I love it all and having a hard time using it too. Anyhoo that’s enough of my yapping. Can’t wait to see the finished book.
lol Susan Yap away! You'll fit right in! lol Sometimes I think the more you play, the more ideas you have. The hard part is remembering them! lol Should write them down. And only have one book where I write them down so I remember where I put it. lol
You must be seeing circles in your sleep by now! I really like the first one as it had a beautiful tribal feel to it and then you added your lovely lettering. Perhaps if I watch enough, I will catch on. I had the same issues with being a scrapbooker, and now I am just as bad with mixed media products. I also love the fourth one with the black and gold. Then came the fifth! So much to enjoy. Thank you.
Thanks for sharing. I learned some new techniques, got some great ideas from what you've done. Looking forward to seeing the assembled book video, too!
Hi, Denise, I'm a new subscriber to your channel. I really enjoyed your circle challenges. I love how you explain your process from brain to paper and how you giggle at yourself. Thank you for sharing your artsy moments!
Ohhhhhhhh lol I do the same thing! All closets (but bathroom and one in our bedroom ) and dressers are filled with art supplies!!!! For heavens sakes I don’t need anymore supplies~ plus I just organized and separated a baby pool full of scraps for mixed media! Posca pens?!? Uh oh
Thanks I watched the whole challenge and really enjoyed them. You have some really great ideas, thanks for sharing them with us. Looking forward to seeing you finished book.
Me!!!! I participated and I made it through about day 18 because I had some surgery. Now we're getting ready for a cross country move, so my art stuff is mostly packed away, but I'll return to it once we get moved and settled. I picked up several ideas from this video that I definitely want to try out! Thanks for the inspiration!
Oooh so you don't have many days left to finish! Will you continue once you are moved in? I do hope everything is okay. (surgery) Have a safe and happy move!
@@DeniseLush Yes, I plan to finish. I deliberately limited my materials (vintage papers, ephemera, washi, etc.) to nothing "wet" so I can hopefully finish in our temporary housing while we house hunt. Yes, I'm healing well from my surgery and feeling much better! Thanks!
I too bought and hoarded because I loved it so much I didn't want to use it because then it would be gone just like you said. sometimes I would just sit and look at the stuff, that alone would make me happy, I didn't need to use it.
