I feel like Ni-ki was given the chance to improve and shine in part 2, when he didn't have to spend the bulk of his time having to teach the other participants step by step. At the end of the day, it is a competition and they're all fighting for the same spot so by him sacrificing his own time to help the others, he is minimizing his own chance at securing a spot in the debut lineup both in the sense that he doesn't have time to improve his own skills and in that he's improving his competitor's skills.
I think it was really commendable the way Ni-ki, Jay, and Heesung really sacrificed so much of their own personal training time to help others. There may have been others as well, but those 3 were the ones that really stood out for me. Just thinking back to when I was their age, even for high school competitions, people would definitely not help out their competitor and in certain universities my friend told me that the competition is so fierce that if you leave your bag unattended, your classmates will steal your textbook or rip up your notes. I'm so happy that these 3 made it to the debut group.
