Wild magic is better overall until you're in T10 mid-BiS, around 65-70% crit self-buffed. You can get fucked bad with no crit rng in earlier tiers so this helps curve that. Later, when you basically crit everything, haste performs better.
really lovely video mate. i have mage but im so slacking to gear it up. question, why did u put ur trinkets in the keybinding bars? since they are passive proc. i mean u could use it for something else.
If you're referring to the weakaura, that is to show the internal CD of the trinket, so you can align your own CDs better with the trinket. For the trinkets on the bars, that is often used to swap trinkets. So you swap your trinket in bottom slot to top, and top slot to bottom. You do this out of combat. Why? because when you swap trinkets, it starts an internal cooldown of 45 seconds where your trinkets won't proc. This is useful because sometimes you don't want your trinkets to proc right off the bat of a fight, it's better if they happen a bit later in the fight. This allows you to control or delay your trinket procs, by swapping slots right before the fight starts. In my channel you can see me do this for the Yogg 0 fight.
Nice, I'm at 5,410gs and only get like 7-8k dps on average. Always feel like I'm shooting fireballs SOOOO slow and getting interrupted with having to move, things being too far, etc, etc.. The way you people that parse do your raids looks so different than how my guild and pugs I do, do them. I sim'd my character and it says I should have over 10k dps. I don't even understand how to work this sim thing and I don't have time to figure it out. I just want to do better damage. These YT vids help with nothing as I do pretty much everything these people do but with how slow I cast (2.35) and having to move or something, idk.. :( We always get told to target the snobalds too but I don't see you or other mages in videos doing that besides just putting a LB on them. We're told to burn them down so, wasting time casting on them, them dying before finishing multiple casts, we separate acidmaw and dread, having to run when poisoned or a snobald on first boss, standing in fire, etc etc. I'm always

It's just because I play several classes, and I like to keep binds unified. I might have two on use trinkets in the future or on other classes.

Are you using the tailor buff from making spellqeave and also what is that purple buff next to it?
spellweave + ebonweave, crit/haste. He also has the mp5/hp5 from the other cloth but thats minor

He's scorch/fireblasting I think, it's a DPS downgrade to do this over just scorch>LB
He had a proc ready by hitting something outside of raid beforehand.
Just crit a mob before pull one time, there was no fire blast used
Scorch on first global is a dps loss either way you slice it, so don't do this.
@@Tom-dh2te it is a raid dps increase to provide the crit debuff, so you should always have one mage doing this

Why crit pot and not haste?
For me the sims were really close, so I prefer the minor crit increase for rng protection on bad luck. I change my mind weekly though 😅
I also assume it’s because you are already hasted strongly w/ PI and zerking
