Hiking my bike to ride the Carretera Austral solo | A GoPro Film

In Patagonia, there is a famous dirt road route called the Carretera Austral. Otherwise known as Chile's Route 7, it stretches for about 1240 km. Starting in Villa O'Higgins and ending in Puerto Montt.
To reach the Austral from El Chaltén, you need to take two ferries to a remote border crossing, depending on the weather. Sometimes people can end up waiting for days. This doesn't include the tough hike-a-bike ride from one country to another.
Starting on the route, I ended up riding solo again and splitting off from my friend.
