I was so shocked because I had kind of forgotten about the whole thing lol. Now, I might get back into updating and actually working on this since I'm retired now. Thank you for this information. I would like to see a complete tutorial on starting a zazzle store. I have one, however, what I have learned was through the school of hard knocks. No one sees to take the time to run the process. I have seen a number of so called tutorials on zazzle and man, it's like poking your eyes with a fork because they of the rails and don't explain clearing... those youtuber are extremely frustrating. I've watched many of your videos and that's why I subed with you. You take time on braking things down, thank you for that.

I’ve been on Zazzle for many years and my biggest complaint is that you have to keep updating your designs in some way so that they won’t go to ‘invisible’ mode. If no one views your designs for a length of time, the system eventually makes them invisible to the public. You then would have to go to your list of designs and products and manually make them visible again. Of course they want you to update the description or tags occasionally to help make your designs more easily found. I don’t list near as many designs as I used to as it is a lot of ongoing work updating your design listings. Maybe you can address this issue in a future video.
I find I put up a design a week or several borders / designs or tiles up this shows the Zazzle algorythm you are still active & you'll find your back catalogue of designs doesnt slip into the abyss, I find this to be true of Society 6 & even Redbubble to a certain extent.
That’s what’s killing me and this whole enabled invisible visible ineligible shat is driving me INSANE…how was I able to do the pillow but not the damn cup or anything else and I just started selling or at least trying to. It’s like a joke or something. And why do I have to create all a lover again when my stuff folder has all of my designs already?!?!? Why can’t I just transfer them to the damn products?!? standard royalty on zazzle is 10%. you CAN up it to 15 or 20% but then when you compare your product, i.e. t-shirt to the other same products on zazzle you will usually find that you are priced much higher than the other products / shirts. if your design is unique higher price might not matter.

Yes, there definitely is. I do that all the time. As I create each product the very last thing to do is set the price and royalty at the bottom of the page.

That is correct but it's hard compare prices that way too.... and then there is traffic.... price per product sold is great but how many will you sell because of traffic?

THanks Juna, Im new to Zazzel, and Im starting off using free Canva elements.. If my understanding is correct, for POD we have to alter so the main element so it is not a standalone item. Doing so, we can claim we created the design and have the right to sell? there is so many differences in licenses. That is my biggest hurdle right now.
I honestly don't remember... I did mine so long ago... but that sounds right. You can ask this question in the Facebook. Maybe there is someone in the group that just did it.
Hi Juna, Do you know what kind of SVG file is needed to be able to edit the colors in Zazzle? I tried to use a few SVG files and it didn't show the color options. I saw the store you used as an example and didn't see anything different about their file.
I just did a regular SVG file from Canva I believe, it wasn't anything special... although the graphics have to be editable in Canva or from a vector program.... just putting any graphic from Canva and saving it as an SVG will not work..... some graphics on Canva are pixels not vectors....... a good test is to see if you can change the color in Canva..... if you can't than your SVG would be able to either.
You can but that would cut into your profits.... I wouldn't do it for everyone.... maybe your first few if you really really want to make sure the quality of the new POD.

A personalize picture? What do you mean... just a different picture for a profession or something or a drawing that looks like the person or is it a different kind of dog?

The only thing that has stopped me from selling on Zazzle is I haven't found anywhere that will explain if they remove your signature on the designs. Can someone remove your signature? I would hate to go through all that work making the designs such as portraits and no one knows you designed it. Also does Zazzle own your design after you upload. Please advise if you know. Whatever you put on your PNG will be on the final design. So if you put a signature in your design it should be there. Zazzle doesn’t own your design, you do. So you can use it whenever you want.

So just to be clear you can not create your own Marvel and DC stuff but you can put what Zazzle already has in your store for sale....You will see the rules of the Fan Merch when you click on the get started button... and they will walk you through it
I have one issue with Zazzle I had a nature design it was unique had a few sales then sales dropped so I went to the library online looked up the type of design on Zazzle and even though the page grew to over 20 similar like mine, only one showed. One result. And no not mine of course. It was like either Zazzle itself put one up and made traffic go to only that one, or some hacker somehow cornered that niche market. Other than that I like Zazzle.
I've heard that Zazzle deactivates designs which haven't sold for a while nor been updated recently. Otherwise, they would end up with a platform full of stuff that no one is interested in buying and possibly forgotten about by the creators. If you think the design is still relevant, redo the titles, description, tags to something current and reactivate it, but if it's no longer topical, then consider either refreshing the design to something more relevant or deleting it altogether. It's good practice to update your listings regularly so they are identified as active listings during Zazzle's housekeeping. :)
Bro Personalization or customization is for one who want to buy?....or its means you can edit somebody's product resell it as your own product? Please clear it for me I can't understand that
No they don’t. They only give you the correct parameters in pixels once you do it wrong. They differ from Printify which is who I use, so I end up having to resize the image all over. Someone said, they’ll give it to you in inches and you just need to convert it to pixels.

So, from what I can tell, if you design the text in Zazzle, the text is editable in Zazzle. If you make an invitation or business card on Canva with text, upload it, it will not be editable, right? Thnkas
You could try it.... I don't know how many people would take a business card from a stranger and then go to a site and buy something but you never know.... you may have to give them a great incentive to do that... FREE Gift? FREE Shipping? Customizable options? etc.

You can add multiple email addresses in PayPal. So you should just be able to add the email address you use on Zazzle into your PayPal account, and then it should all tie up. :)

How do you name your store on Zazzle, or any platform, when you are starting out? If you don’t want to use your name, and don’t have a brand? Then there is the issue of making sure no one else has that name or takes it. Can you do a video about how you go about doing this for the different platforms? What is legal and what isn’t? Basically I would make something up and see if it's already out there or trademarked... if not, you are free to use it... buy the domain name and you will be set.

Which of the ten platforms you're in allows me to sell there without having a Tin id or social security number? For clarification, I'm not an American and don't live in the states. I want to avoid any surprises, whether upon signing up or after. Because I heard that some platforms would allow me to sign up but once we need to be paid they will ask for the tin number, I want to avoid that from the start. I want something like Amazon if you don t have a US tin or a different country Tin we will deduct 30 percent.

I’m Canadian and sell on Zazzle. I had what’s called a W8 form to fill out (basically tells the govt that I’m not American and so won’t have to pay taxes on my earnings).
I'm struggling with Zazzle for some reason! I am not maneuvering through the platform very well. Idk what I am doing wrong. I create a product (at least I think I do) but then I can't find it anywhere! Idk im just really frustrated with it. Maybe I am just dumb lol but I haven't had issues with all the other platforms. I hope I can figure it out bcz I do like some things about it.
I looked at zazzle very briefly and didn't see an obvious way to use one design over many products (like you can with redbubble or mba). Did I miss something or is it not meant to be used this way?
You have to upload the design to more individual products on Zazzle, with some products needing different file sizes. It's not a case of uploading a file and simply clicking a button to tell it activate it on 1730 products. Also, you would use the platform very differently to Redbubble. Zazzle provides a more targeted way of selling, so that you can really hit niche markets, and as you can open as many shops as you like, you can tackle loads of niche markets. For example, you could have a shop only selling adult slogan t-shirts; a shop for birthday party stationery and birthday party supplies; a fabric store for dressmakers; a store specialised for people who go to the gym, with towels, drinking bottles, yoga mats, notebooks with motivational quotes etc. Zazzle is way more versatile than Redbubble and it provides a really good avenue to ground test a business idea. :)

So it’s allowed to sell Disney? It’s allowed to sell big brand designs? I’ve tried posting 4 listings. And it’s confusing whenever you start personalizing an item. You don’t know which ones you are selling unless I add them in a collection in my store

Speaking of Disney & name brand…. When I do research on Etsy, I still see so many stores selling that kind of stuff. I realize it’s not impossible, but it’s probably very expensive to get a license(or whatever) to sell that kind of thing & those stores have so many sales. Hard to believe they’re all legitimate.

I only do Print on Demand... no need for heat transfers or ordering tees in bulk.... all you do after a design is finished is upload it to a POD store like Amazon, RedBubble or TeePublic... then add a title, description.... that's it.

While designing, put text on the shirt, then over to the right the options then scroll down bottom right.

You will have to check what is selling on Zazzle and then you can add it to your collection

It's needs to be an SVG... I do it at 4500 x 5400 but since it's an SVG you can scale it so it doesn't matter too much.

Hi Juna, Do you know what kind of SVG file is needed to be able to edit the colors in Zazzle? I tried to use a few SVG files and it didn't show the color options. I saw the store you used as an example and didn't see anything different about their file.
I just did a regular SVG file from Canva I believe, it wasn't anything special... although the graphics have to be editable in Canva or from a vector program.... just putting any graphic from Canva and saving it as an SVG will not work..... some graphics on Canva are pixels not vectors....... a good test is to see if you can change the color in Canva..... if you can't than your SVG would be able to either.
Should we always get a proof purchase or print out before listing it for sale? How do you know our design looks ok printed?
You can but that would cut into your profits.... I wouldn't do it for everyone.... maybe your first few if you really really want to make sure the quality of the new POD.
If you scale your image up too much Zazzle will let you know they think it will look like crap before you can sell it.

A personalize picture? What do you mean... just a different picture for a profession or something or a drawing that looks like the person or is it a different kind of dog?

I'm confused about the Official Fan merch Can I add a Zazzle collection of say like Nightmare Before Christmas because I really like it to my Zazzle store with the intent that clicks would take customers to Disney store or is the affiliate link just for web stores outside of Zazzle?

Forgive me if you already answered these questions. The only thing that has stopped me from selling on Zazzle is I haven't found anywhere that will explain if they remove your signature on the designs. Can someone remove your signature? I would hate to go through all that work making the designs such as portraits and no one knows you designed it. Also does Zazzle own your design after you upload. Please advise if you know. Thank you.
Whatever you put on your PNG will be on the final design. So if you put a signature in your design it should be there. Zazzle doesn’t own your design, you do. So you can use it whenever you want.

So just to be clear you can not create your own Marvel and DC stuff but you can put what Zazzle already has in your store for sale....You will see the rules of the Fan Merch when you click on the get started button... and they will walk you through it
I have one issue with Zazzle I had a nature design it was unique had a few sales then sales dropped so I went to the library online looked up the type of design on Zazzle and even though the page grew to over 20 similar like mine, only one showed. One result. And no not mine of course. It was like either Zazzle itself put one up and made traffic go to only that one, or some hacker somehow cornered that niche market. Other than that I like Zazzle.

I've heard that Zazzle deactivates designs which haven't sold for a while nor been updated recently. Otherwise, they would end up with a platform full of stuff that no one is interested in buying and possibly forgotten about by the creators. If you think the design is still relevant, redo the titles, description, tags to something current and reactivate it, but if it's no longer topical, then consider either refreshing the design to something more relevant or deleting it altogether. It's good practice to update your listings regularly so they are identified as active listings during Zazzle's housekeeping. :)

As a seller you make your products customizable so when people buy your products they have the option to change or customize it.

SVG if you want the option to change colors..... otherwise PNGs are okay

No they don’t. They only give you the correct parameters in pixels once you do it wrong. They differ from Printify which is who I use, so I end up having to resize the image all over. Someone said, they’ll give it to you in inches and you just need to convert it to pixels.

You can get organic sales... some products get better organic sales than others

So, from what I can tell, if you design the text in Zazzle, the text is editable in Zazzle. If you make an invitation or business card on Canva with text, upload it, it will not be editable, right? Thnkas

You could try it.... I don't know how many people would take a business card from a stranger and then go to a site and buy something but you never know.... you may have to give them a great incentive to do that... FREE Gift? FREE Shipping? Customizable options? etc.

You can add multiple email addresses in PayPal. So you should just be able to add the email address you use on Zazzle into your PayPal account, and then it should all tie up. :)

How do you name your store on Zazzle, or any platform, when you are starting out? If you don’t want to use your name, and don’t have a brand? Then there is the issue of making sure no one else has that name or takes it. Can you do a video about how you go about doing this for the different platforms? What is legal and what isn’t? Thank you for all of your hard work teaching us!
Basically I would make something up and see if it's already out there or trademarked... if not, you are free to use it... buy the domain name and you will be set.

For clarification, I'm not an American and don't live in the states.
I want to avoid any surprises, whether upon signing up or after. Because I heard that some platforms would allow me to sign up but once we need to be paid they will ask for the tin number, I want to avoid that from the start.
I want something like Amazon if you don t have a US tin or a different country Tin we will deduct 30 percent.

I’m Canadian and sell on Zazzle. I had what’s called a W8 form to fill out (basically tells the govt that I’m not American and so won’t have to pay taxes on my earnings).
I'm struggling with Zazzle for some reason! I am not maneuvering through the platform very well. Idk what I am doing wrong. I create a product (at least I think I do) but then I can't find it anywhere! Idk im just really frustrated with it. Maybe I am just dumb lol but I haven't had issues with all the other platforms. I hope I can figure it out bcz I do like some things about it.
You are probably doing it right.... Zazzle is tough to figure out... I do wish there upload process way better

I looked at zazzle very briefly and didn't see an obvious way to use one design over many products (like you can with redbubble or mba). Did I miss something or is it not meant to be used this way?
The uploading of designs is kind of weird.... I'll have to show it
You have to upload the design to more individual products on Zazzle, with some products needing different file sizes. It's not a case of uploading a file and simply clicking a button to tell it activate it on 1730 products. Also, you would use the platform very differently to Redbubble. Zazzle provides a more targeted way of selling, so that you can really hit niche markets, and as you can open as many shops as you like, you can tackle loads of niche markets. For example, you could have a shop only selling adult slogan t-shirts; a shop for birthday party stationery and birthday party supplies; a fabric store for dressmakers; a store specialised for people who go to the gym, with towels, drinking bottles, yoga mats, notebooks with motivational quotes etc. Zazzle is way more versatile than Redbubble and it provides a really good avenue to ground test a business idea. :)

I’ve tried posting 4 listings. And it’s confusing whenever you start personalizing an item. You don’t know which ones you are selling unless I add them in a collection in my store
So.... you can add designs that are already on Zazzle from the brands... you CANNOT create your own stuff.... I'll have to make a video on how to create a personalized product
Speaking of Disney & name brand…. When I do research on Etsy, I still see so many stores selling that kind of stuff. I realize it’s not impossible, but it’s probably very expensive to get a license(or whatever) to sell that kind of thing & those stores have so many sales. Hard to believe they’re all legitimate.

I only do Print on Demand... no need for heat transfers or ordering tees in bulk.... all you do after a design is finished is upload it to a POD store like Amazon, RedBubble or TeePublic... then add a title, description.... that's it.
