We Need to Fix This Before it's Too Late - Madden 24 Saints Franchise (Y4:G5) - Ep.64
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 6 ส.ค. 2024
- It's Year 3 of the Madden 24 Saints Franchise. We've accepted the rebuilding role and have started overhauling the existing roster. We're expecting the rookie class to play many roles this season, and even have new Quarterbacks. I'm hoping this year we can lay a new foundation and identity to take into the future.
My Franchise on Madden 24 begins with the New Orleans Saints. The Saints offer a unique challenge compared to any other team looking at their future cap space problems and aging roster. The Saints are not a bad team in 2023 at all. But their future could not be anymore problematic as cap restraints will cause them to move on from players, including some of their aging veterans they still rely on.
I aim for a more sim feel to my Franchises. I play on All Madden sliders that promote a more realistic play style. I have developed my own XP sliders to create a more authentic feel to Franchise in terms of developing young players and replacing regressing veterans.
This will be my biggest Madden 24 series, and I'm excited to get the rebuild underway.
Few episodes ago: “Skelton has earned more carries”
Today: “We used all our hbs today”
What happened to Barry man?!? He’s just been forgotten 😭 No HB has truly shined so give the guy more opportunities
I was literally thinking the same thing . Does he not like him or something?
@@OmgItsRickyy I guess lol. White got more carries in this episode simply bc the last episode he had amazing blocking and walked in. Barry woulda scored on that one easily as well 😂
Spoiler protection.
I swear an update happened recently that totally changed QB accuracy and All-Madden difficulty. Out of nowhere, every Madden channel I watch is having issues with QB accuracy
If Westbrook is going to develop, you need to get him a very good O-line. If I remember right he has the Trigger Happy trait when under pressure.
18:03 actually a really cool celebration for the best 3 pass catchers on the team lol
Is that the Spider-Man meme?😂
@@jalenwalker8790yeah
Blake Skelton needs his snaps with his speed.
Cane: "We used all of our running backs today" Skelton: "What?!"
Roby showing some flashes. Need to stick with the hot hand during drives with this run game.
Considering nobody is really breaking out, it would be nice to get Barry Skelton a few carries a game, if nothing else, just to see if he could be more than just a practice squad player.
The offensive line woes are not helping Westbrook and his Trigger Happy sense of pressure.
This franchise is the only thing keeping me sane until the draft
2:58 *OMG A JAMES HOUSTON SIGHTING!!! HE STILL EXISTS AFTER ALL!!!* 😯😯😯
It was wild to see a defensive end beat an OT for a sack. I thought we were going to be stuck with Beards TE merchant or chase down sacks all season.
Crazy how he checked put this year so far otherwise lol
Constantly being in 3rd and long situations while also not being able to block is a recipe for disaster. You HAVE to focus on the quick short passing game.
Cane ik you love your pro-style offense however your o-line is not good enough yet for Westbrook to take so many snaps under center maybe spread things out just a tad definitely nothing major because we’ve seen that your offense does work just maybe add some quick shotgun passes nd maybe a pistol package or two
Keep up the good work
Part of the problem with spreading things out is that, going off what I've noticed, a good chunk of Westbrook's whiffs have come on plays where he was scrambling as he threw the ball. That might just be confirmation bias, but in any case, his Throw On The Run is still at a relatively paltry 77 (and, of course, others have been eager to point out his Trigger Happy sense of pressure). Might be worth putting his next upgrade point or two into Scrambler or Improviser, especially with how his last one completely failed to address his short and medium accuracy ratings.
The interceptions are always so frustrating because 90 percent of the time they could have been avoided.
Well, that's certainly improvement, but it's not like it could really get worse. Skelton could probably use more touches.
After so many seasons its disappointing that we still dont have a great O-line. We need to keep imroving it. Maybe we can find an elite guard in free agency after the season or even trade for one
I liked how and I think you should make the backfield more of a committee for different scenarios rather then giving each back drives
10:24 When the Panthers punter is a more accurate passer than Westbrook.
The Official Petition so Cane can trade for the panthers punter and make him our starting QB
Cosigned.
2:44 anyone else thought Doug Wallace was Kareem hunt with the hair and #27?
No matter what I’m just glad we still get quality videos despite the results. I’ve been watching since the Rams franchise and I’ll always watch the yearly franchise videos. Thanks Cane!
ALL free agent signings and draft picks NEED to be OLINEMEN it seems.......
It’s really criminal that Juan Beard is a ghost and Westbrook needs interior protection but we passed on a generational interior lineman and traded back in that draft.
It’s a good day when Mr. Cane posts
Cannot keep holding onto the ball. The play action and under center drop backs are just getting Westbrook pressured.
At 4:02 you see the weakness of Zamir White. He’s awesome going in a straight line, but he can’t change direction and turn that run upfield on a dime
Compare that to Jadarius Roby at 20:16
Love this franchise keep it going
Cane some of these interceptions that you’re throwing are just wild. Fun episode though!
Luke Rowe is basically Timmy Church all over again, lol.
Trade beard and trick another team.
Cane on the trade lines:
"Let me sell you on juan beard"
Massive improvement this week. Firstly Cane, you simply played better and that was clear to see, better decision making. On top of that, Westbrook was much better and showed the promise he does have. Keep with the quick passes and run game to unleash the deeper passes. Run game was far better, Miller back to what we know he can do, and Roby showed an interesting change of pace too. Overpaid for Roby in the trade but they were a good 1/2 punch today. The standouts in defence for me were JOK and Bolden, who seemed to quietly go about his work but seemed to be right there to make the tackle or support so often.
Please consider trading a draft pick for a solid interior offensive lineman. Whoever our QB is, he needs protection.
Consider running more out the shotgun with Kendre and More of the inside stuff with Roby sprinkle in some Zamir White or your rookie
A definite good win needed for this franchise. Good stuff
@13:32 I was crying for the Olave deep shot 😭😢
This is going to be another rough season unless the playbook changes. Need more shotgun passes and quicker routes
I’m 15 minutes in and he said: at least what we wanted to happen is happening 2 and a half quarters in and now I’m scared he jinxed it with this teams history of late collapses. I’ll be back in 10 😂
Houston IV scammed the heck out of the saints lol......I think Foskey needs more minutes
I think it’s the sliders honestly I can’t remember cane having a dominant front seven since the broncos franchise
Houston is getting paid like 5 million a year lol. Hes not playing as well as we expect but hes not making a whole lot.
Notice how the instant Cane extended him he completely disappeared late last season up until now? Yeah.
love the series, cane!
That would have helped some against the ravens. And try using qb contain when your playing against mobile qb's but mix it up..Because if they notice you got the outside sewed up then they will adjust and to it and start mixing it up and confusing your edge rushers. Nice vids tho and keep it up
Man with those deep throws cane really needs to draw some plays up for Pearman, that throw power would finally be used adequately :)
To Madden's credit they have nailed the QB play of Bryce Young.
The o line needs a major upgrade, I think that’s been the main issue this whole series
thoughts on, if the season tails off, potentially a coach firing storyline think it would be pretty unique and fun to see
that interception was a certified Cane classic and the playcalling is a little silly, but a W is a W and Westbrook looked better
need to cut down on the PA deep shots i think personally that slow release + the HORRIBLE guard play is not mixing well
That INT was not on Cane, Westbrook just threw the ball behind where it should've been thrown
Amazing thumbnail
You might want to tweek the sliders some more. Remember the cpu is allway's making in game adjustments. And especially if your going up against qb's that already have high accuracy like mahomes, allen, ect. I usually bump up my d- coverage and d -response. Because it seems like the cpu qb's get on a hot streak and just start completing a bunch of passes.
Wallace gives me Deanglo Williams vibes
Classic death ball
Not a bad game - them Fergusons be pesky ! Cheers
I understand it's Derrick Brown, but man our interior cannot be that bad in pass protection and expect to win consistently.
Westbrook got that bust sign written all over him
I really hope we make some trades for once in this episode
22:35 was a shot at me, wasn't it? *WASN'T IT?!?!* Aiight Cane, I admit you got me good.
Day 17 of asking cane to finish the madden 18 bears franchise and get them a Super Bowl. Even if it’s just a sim
How bad is Westbrooks Throw On The Run rating?
Noticed this game and went back thru 2 more. It is extremely obvious that Westbrooks accuracy issues almost always occur when his feet are not set.
This includes playaction ( his accuracy is limited to 10 yards or so on roll outs), scrambl throws, and even when your in tbe pocket, but sliding around to find a place to throw from.
When his feet are set he is bulls eye the last 3 games. When his feet are not, he is less than 20 percent completion, unless on a playaction throw 10 yards or under.
I had a guy that had high play action ratings but low throw on the run.. Bad combo. Could be Westbrooks achilles right now.
Right now I think Luke Rowe isn't the man at LG. Week after week he gets beat! Time to trade for a better LG, maybe put him and Foskey/Breese in a trade package to get a better lineman because it is mainly him most the time in games giving up the big pressures on the inside the line. Westbrook cannot develop and succeed well without a decent line.
Ruiz isn't really much better TBH. I would say all three interior O-linemen need replacing except that the center was just drafted.
I legit thought this team wouldn't win another game so I'll take this one, even if it's over a Panthers team doing their best impression of the one this season.
Can someone please tell me why I have issues watching in 720 p FOR ONLY CANE VIDEOS
Drop the divisional round 😤
Qb accuracy slider needs tweaked me thinks
All in all Westbrook was better today. Outside of the Chinn INT and a few misses
But the Oline was really better. And gave some time.
Need more Skelton plays.
Good solid win. Now get a streak going.
Cole Bulaga, local beat reporter: "Before we talk about this upcoming rivalry game: Blake, any comment on the rumors that A.T. Perry demanded a trade because he hated you specifically?"
Blake Westbrook, Saints QB and Sun-Devil-in-disguise: "Wha- I don't- People are saying that? T-That's actually a rumor? No, no, Perry was always great. Very excited to play, and I was very excited to play with him. Jordan Love's lucky to give him that opportunity."
Cole: "And what do have to say for the whopping six interceptions you've gift-wrapped your opponents in a mere four games? The way your first two were directly responsible for the six-point Packers loss?"
Blake: "That's a, uh… rather passive-aggressive way of putting it, Cole-"
[A secondhand Terrible Towel, drowned in gold paint by a Saints convert at some point or another, gets flung from the stands and wraps itself around Westbrook's left shoulder. The sloppily scrawled phrase "START MAYWETHER" - sic - is somewhat legible.]
Blake: "-but yeah, those plays stung. Still do. I felt good about those route trees in practice, felt good about the timing, the tighter windows, and I just didn't fit the ball through 'em. That's something Can-
[A translucent plastic cup hits the back of Blake's head, drenching him in what he sincerely hopes is light beer.]
Blake: "-something Coach Cannon, the whole offense, and I have worked on together, something we're all continuing to work on together-"
[A half-eaten tray's worth of overpriced nachos splatters against Westbrook's forehead.]
Blake: "-and I'm looking forward to learning more and showing this city just what I've learned along the way."
[He flicks away the chips, then uses the conveniently placed Saintly Towel to wipe some dribbling cheese and/or tears away from his eye. His eye black smears across his face in the attempt.]
Cole: "The sort of platitudes you'd expect to hear from a QB like you, you could say?"
Blake: "Uh, sure, man. If that's how you wanna put it, go right ahead."
Cole: "Speaking of which, what's it like having a proven, beloved former starter like Mayweather in the same QB room as you?"
Blake: "Marcus Mariota is right over there, y'know. Go ask him about it. Please."

In all seriousness, pulling for Westbrook to turn things around!
This was awesome 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾😂
Liked for the OG Cole Bulaga reference.
4:35 Rowe literally holds Brown and STILL can't keep him from getting to Westbrook SMH.
IDK who's being brutalized worse today, this O-line or Illinois.
what's i've always wondered is why he never uses coach mode on this....i know he has the raiders but he handles that different wouldn't the best way to have ratings be king be that? than you shouldn't have to think about sliders
you gotta run outside instead of the middle 24/7
Can we trade for Carolina's punter as our short yardage QB?
I was thinking more along the lines of starting QB.
@@DolFan316 We have a starting QB. He's just been sitting on the bench this season.
Is Stoutmire even on special teams?
An ugly win is still a win.
Holy early
cane your qb play is generic u gotta leave the pocket to extend plays more. doesn’t matter if the qb is fast or not everyone in the nfl leaves the pocket
Wth was that throw at 13:36
I agree wheres berry skelton, and god this dude westbrook throws some of the worst passes i have ever seen that first pick was crazy😂 the other qb wasent much better tho we need a new QB1!
Ol keeping westbrook back
Just throwing this out there but why not use mayweather like how the saints used taysom hill 😎😎😎😎
Juan Beard has been great this year.
I feel okay with him; that being said, inb4 the inevitable "He's dogwater, he just lucks into stats" retort.
(As someone who only just got done with the local Justin Fields discourse, I am numb to the pain.)
Here with the obligatory Juan Beard review. He‘s been helped immensely by interior pass rush and brain dead AI QB play. Today he at least managed 2 pressures and a tfl in the run game. I don’t love giving him too much credit on the tfl as he was lined up on a TE. All and all he’s a rotational level pass rusher at his best. He never routinely applies pressure and frequently disappears. I’m most concerned with how utterly useless he has been when defending the run.
@@nicholasbuffone175 Bingo
@@eddiemachete6680 This guy gets it 🤘Beard leading the team in sacks and TFLs so far is more of an indictment on how awful the rest of the front 7 was until this game. He literally can't cover or stop the run, edge rushing is all he'll ever be capable of doing, but only every 3-4 games or so.
@@DolFan316 Beard is often the one providing the most pressure and the only player in the front seven that actually tracks down ball carriers past the first level. Obviously would be more ideal if he didnt need to hustle his way to get ballcarriers opposed to the linebackers or interior linemen, but thats what we got.
Man I've defended Stockton which was been working out but damn Westbrook is not looking good right now (short passes work though )
Free Roby
Came you’re using too many pass rush moves on your user. You always said you don’t want to be noticed on defense
Please get better sliders. NFL defenses don’t play like this
He just needs to learn how to play madden
Cane needs to watch Kurt Benkert videos.
Madden has gotten harder over the last 10 years. Cane is out of his league against the AI.
You need a new athletic trainer.
Cain you are the reason the offense sucks
First
Yes. 😊
JUSTICE FOR MAYWEATHER! BENCH MEHSTBROOK FOR GOATWEATHER!
the thumbnail is fire btw cane appreciate your improvement over the years 🔥🔥
You cant run the ball, pass block, and your backup QB might be better then your starter. Are you sure this isn't the Giants?
Same crap he pulled with Taequon Laeyton. I always stop watching when he falls in love with these trash cpu generated QBs.
Please tell me what you saw at 13:34 lol.
All the room upfield and wanted the ball to lead him there
@@MrHurriicane I figured that’s what you wanted to do. I blame mostly madden on that one.
@@MrHurriicane also happy Easter big dawg
Westbrook runs the 40 in about a week and a half.
