Lucas and Elizabeth were a beautiful, affectionate couple, but something was missing. He rarely let her see how vulnerable he was. Nathan and Elizabeth are the real deal. This man, who has faced down killers, isn't afraid to let her know when she hurts him or feels uncertain about where he stands with her. They are no longer afraid to show, each other, what is in their hearts. Even when they don't speak, they are still communicating. It is beautiful to watch.
Beautifully said. I always thought that Lucas never really got “real” with Elizabeth. He was always on his best behavior. He did not let his guard down. I believe a “great love” would get that out of him. Elizabeth couldn’t do it.

It has to be Elizabeth saying she loves Nathan first in S11. Nathan already declared he loved Elizabeth in S8 a couple of times. I don't think his feelings of love ever changed. He still loves Elizabeth. When she finally confesses her love to Nathan, he will say I never stopped loving you. I love you too!

Thats what friends are there for you. She already said she was'nt in love with him so you can change feelings in mid stream how real is that. They need some writers and a good showrunner so this can at least sound real

I hope the writers decide to write it that Nathan and Elizabeth exchange vows in a church with pastor Joseph officiating, but then they also have an adoption ceremony with Judge Bill Avery signing off on the adoption apart of the wedding. Nathan officially adopts Jack Jr. Elizabeth officially adopts Allie too!

Why do you even watch this show if you are SO angry Nathan & Elizabeth are together? Pay attention to the foreshadowing & the timeline - none of this happened in a week’s time - it has been several months. Grant Elizabeth some grace as a widow who had her world
crumble with Jack’s death.

I keep watching WCTH over and over again. I never get tired of it. At a time when there is not much of anything good TV anymore, I always find some comfort in WCTH no matter how many times I have seen it. Can't get enough of it. Soooo looking forward to season 12. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Once he gets an "I love you" from Elizabeth, I don't think it will take long. Nathan has been waiting a long time for her. He declared he loved her twice in S8. This time she has to say those words to him first. Then I don't think he would have a problem proposing.

This is amazing!! They have so much fire & depth to their relationship. All of the highs, lows, and everything in between make this a truly beautiful great love. Her last relationship was alright, but it had too much lust and not enough heart & soul.

This act they are trying to give us now that Elizabeth is in love with with Nathan dose not say much for the Teacher.

I don't believe I will ever be able to see Elizabeth with someone and not think “he’s only here because Jack can’t be.” He was the great love of her life and her true soulmate, if you ask me. But Nathan is a close second. I can see the appeal for both Elizabeth and the fans. Beautiful video! Well done!

Thank you for including a little of the scene where E ended things w N back in S8 where she told him she was looking for J in him. While unpleasant it is part of N&E’s story and hopefully she addresses that before they become endgame.
I’ve watched the whole series but can’t rewatch older episodes. Can someone remind me of the significance of the line, “I think love is always worth fighting for.” Why was E so surprised when N said this? Did Rosemary say this in conversation to E because I know E mentions this comment to Rosemary after N explains what happened at Ft. Clay. I totally forget.

The line “love is always worth fighting for” is said four times in season 8. The first person to say it is Elizabeth in ep 3 when she encourages Lucas’s mother to reach out to her husband, saying “True love is always worth fighting for. It never gives up.” In ep 11 when Lucas tells Elizabeth he needs to set her free, he says “Elizabeth, you've always maintained that love is worth fighting for. And that includes when it needs defending.” When Nathan tells her in ep 9 “I fell in love with you and I think that love is always worth fighting for,” I think she is surprised because his opinion about love mirrors her own and he has unknowingly expressed her beliefs word for word.The fourth time the phrase is mentioned is later that episode in the conversation with Rosemary you mentioned, when Elizabeth talks about her conversation with Nathan. But Rosemary never says this to Elizabeth. I hope that helps :)

Jack was the first person to say that to Elizabeth. Jack said it a lot to Elizabeth.
That is why Elizabeth looked so surprised because that was Jack's belief.
When Jack and Elizabeth disagreed, Jack always said ( love is worth fighting for, and I will always fight for us. )

Jack definitely fought for Elizabeth, and expressed this through his words and actions, but I was quite confident that in seasons 1 - 5 neither he nor Elizabeth ever said love was worth fighting for. Do you happen to know the episode he says this? I’m just interested because whether it is something only Elizabeth and Nathan say, or it is another remind of Jack definitely changes the meaning of this scene😊

I pray for Indy’s sake this is a blessed union. Because wife is number one and children often have to occupy which their own mum and dad get. I can tell you children often bear the brunt of that odd tip of scale. So my prayers are for God to be over Indy always. The adults will be and do what they want to. Sorry for not jumping up and down. Reality taught me this.

Then he had to watch her walking around town holding Lucas hand and had to watch her, little Jack and Lucas acting like a happy little family.He tried to move on with Mei and Faith but his heart was still with Elizabeth. Faith even told him that she would rather be friends because she could feel that something was in the way. That something was his feelings for Elizabeth. Elizabeth needs to be the one to tell him that she loves him this time. He's letting her make the moves this time because he's probably afraid of her ripping his heart out and stomping all over it again. She also needs to apologize for the way she treated him after he told her that he was in love with her.
@@dorothysampson7414 think she is terrified of joining someone that will hurt her or that will be killed by someone bc of vendetta. Let's just say, she was threatened already. It's real. So when she finally opened her heart again, he's taken? She's already endured many painful things more than is given on TV. Think she apologized already, for indifference and not being present. Though she did, he stayed silent as if she didn't exist. So, time is ticking and if this falls apart she needs to find mutual respect and reciprocate feelings.

This is a show that is written at a sixth grade level. The characters are one dimensional. The world they live in is black and white with no grey; good and bad with no nuance. There is never complexity in the scripts. It trys to make us feel good rather than challenge us to think and grow. It is comfort food.
Ohhh, I actually thought I was learning through this romance escapade. Also, the townspeople. Hmmm.
Where is it written that growth is in the gray? I would argue the world has embraced too much gray and too much nuance. Some things should be black and white, right or wrong. This show is striking a nerve with people because it's bringing back a much-needed decency and faith for those of us who are tired of choking on the sex, violence, language, and downright evil the rest of the media is forcing down our throats.
