How fun! Thanks, guys. I had a 1957 Fireball travel trailer. Made in California, self-contained, and double axle. Perfect (sheer luck) in its own aluminum way. My folks ended up with it, parked it on a cousin's property by the upper Yaquina River in Coast Range Oregon. My daughter learned to play Yahtze and shriek at crawdads there. Good times!
That sounds amazing! What a way to grow up as a kid right? I (Kristen) spent my summers at my aunt and uncles trailer. I literally spent all day, every day, catching frogs, riding bikes and eating 1 cent candies haha. The absolute best.
@@hopscotchtheglobe Kristen, I biking was a late thing for me. All our roads were gravel then, and even Schwinns didn't have fat enuff tires to cope. Popsicles & ice cream bars! What was your summer, Siya?
Neat to see, thanks for sharing! As a young girl I lived with my parents in a converted school bus as well as an airstream (aka tin Twinkie). A little nostalgia for my Mother's day. Happiest Mother's Day wishes to you Kristen 💐
@@hopscotchtheglobe we moved from the bus to the airstream before I was a year old. We lived in the airstream until I was almost 5. I vividly remember loving the cozy bed I had in there. And attempting to shave my face like my Dad in the tiny bathroom (no harm was done🤭).
@@katrina3560 Oh man! I shaved my legs in the tub when I was probably 3? My mom turned around and the tub water was red! I was fine. Just trying to be like my older sister. - Kristen
@@hopscotchtheglobe Ohhh, I can imagine the terror she must have felt as she realized what was happening in the tub! I have 3 daughters and can attest, each has managed to mimic their elder sibling and practiced a skill earlier than the previous. It's amazing, really, but slightly terrifying (and they're fairly young yet). 😅🤭
Wow, I love this! So many amazing old designs, and such a cool thing to stumble upon. Once the pandemic is over I need to look up some vintage meets in Sweden.
@@hopscotchtheglobe I sold that VW way back in the 70’s. I wish I still had it- it’d be worth a small fortune. All’s well here and I can see that your nice little family is doing well. Happy trails!
If you were to have a vintage camper, what style would you choose?
I will choose an airstream when I get the chance!!
Yessss! New or vintage?
Love it!
