I'm a little bit confused. So in a real world scenario, for the last item (Chicken Bone) you would scan 3 different barcodes, (each case has a different barcode because of a different weight)? Or you would scan the same barcode thrice, the way you do it in the video?
This question isn’t relevant to the topic but is it true it’s always better to count equal to or up when cycle counting as opposed to putting a lower number when counted?
That is fine when capturing the weight of the case, but I think the real issue with catch weight items is when you have an order for 30KG of Chicken Wings and then when you scan your three cases it equates to say 31KG of Chicken Wings. How does your system handle that? Do you set tolerances by product or by customer, how do you interface that into the ERP System i.e. do you make an amendment to the original order or are you able to over dispatch the order even if you are lot or serial tracked? The other thing I noticed on the video is that you have a typo on one of the screens where weight is displayed as weigth.
The misspelling is because it’s a user defined parameter. The user spelled it wrong lol. The answer to this question is about 3 pages. Please reach out to our email, and we will respond better. Regardless, here is the short answer… a WMS should capture the weight off the barcode per case and store an inventory position by weight in the database. It should confirm 31KGs total back in the accounting system if that is the total weight as the accounting system is normally tracking the OH by pound. sales@laceupsolutions.com That’s our email address if you need more clarity

Either a count up or down is valuable
