- It's my delight to bring you the my first video of 2021, over 100km's through the magnificent Nelson Lakes region in the South Island of New Zealand. The highlight was crossing the Waiau pass, at 1870 meters elevation, not too high but truly a magnificent place. All done following the epic Te Araroa trail!

Finished this section this year in Feb. Did blue lake to Anne Hutt in a day. It's a must do trail.
so amazing!
Just wow!
Awesome walk man, fantastic photography skills
So beautiful!
Great video! Adding this one to the list next time I’m up Nelson Lakes way!
Definitely, there is heaps of tracks out there from intermediate to more advanced
Did this one in february 1986. Great hike, especially the part from Blue Lake Hut across the Waiau Pass to Caroline bivy. Took me 8 1/2 hours of hard, but great tramping. Wish I could still do stuff like this, but I'm 70 now, and stuck in Corona-lockdown Holland. This vid brings back great memories, thanks for uploading !!
Legend!!!!!
What an awesome video bro!!!! Wow!!!!!
Let’s just go and do it again!!!!!!
I wish mate was such an epic trip 👍👍👍

Good Walk, ya Legend.
Haha shot bro, you would have liked it man
Yeah, but stuck in concrete atleast I got a view and see mates
It's a pity that Moss Pass isn't included as part of the Te Araroa trail, cause it's an epic non-technical climb followed by a wickedly steep and slippery descent
Having done Moss Pass I can assure you that the Sabine/Durville route is dull by comparison to the Travers Valley. The descent to Blue Lake is pretty hairy ("wickedly steep and slippery") and I consider it too tricky and begging for accidents. If you want big-balls adventure then you can go over six passes and saddles through the Durville/Mahanga tops to Lewis Pass.
Is this shot with DJI action camera
Most shots are yes especially ones on the move, even the star timelapse is on the DJI
@@thomasrobinson117 sweet so it's good in low light conditions
