I like these kind of videos informative and more product knowledgebase regarding Mikrotik. Hope you'll have more use case scenario samples and how to set it up and mixed match, CHEERS!
7:53 I learned something new now😊 You can also put the name of an address-list into route filter "scripts"😊 But isn't here the "reject" on the end or the "else { reject }" in the same rule missing?
could you please setup a transcript of that example in the help-docs under BGP examples? would surely help a lot for users to experiment with that "lab/lesson/example/..." cheers
hey guys! are bgp local roles getting any kind of development over there, other than the initial placeholder? would be really nice to ditch the old error-prone way of filter-based leak protection.
okay but why does it have to be this hard to do bgp in a cloud hosted router i mean with a physical one its really easy but my chr is a pain in the rear
For private person it is possible to get own ASN, especially IPv6 only. In many cases IPv6 ASN is free of charge. You will need to have Sponsoring LIR to support you. With IPv4 it is more complicated.
We are working on a cross platform solution, it is in very early development stages. Please use Winbox with wine for now. Alternatively, you can always just use the web interface or ssh and telenet - they will work out of the box, as long as you are not connecting from the pre-configured WAN port.
Please, you not finish video about vlan on many ways on every chip in differ way and now you take about BGP videos... it's to creazy sic ! xD #FunComment
Try and you will see what I am talking about. Nice hardware for enthusiasts, with lot of free time. Personally I don't like when somebody do software testing on their customers. In the past I have bought huge amount of their HW with bug (incorrect RF design) and the did not take responsibility for this mistake. Maybe in future they will improve their products.
@@andrzejburczyk8994 we run an ISP and we have a few of these running bgp on the edge, works much better in v7 than it did in v6. can't comment on RF as we don't use their stuff for it, i'd recommend sticking to their switches.
yes BGP content starting to appear
😂0:08 lmfao at Maris intro. Routing wizards must be able to smell high end routing equipment. Looking forward to the next video
In all seriousness, this was great. More Maris on routing videos please !

God bless MikroTIK. I feel like a specialist like Maris back here in this small African country of mine now
8:50 why I don't need to specify the remote AS?🤔
Very interesting topic! well done!
Thank you very much. if possible i love to hear more about bgp anycast
Very informative! Thanks

There is no such thing as an IPv6 ASN or IPv4 ASN...
@@ON3RVH I agree but private person can get ASN without any hassle
@@maksimandronenkov4441 yes that is correct. A private person can get an ASN, but that’s not an IPv4 or IPv6 ASN. It’s just an ASN ;)
high end routing equipment is the best.
Thank you very much for the lack of a program to configure your equipment on Mac and Linux. It's so nice of you.
