The 1997 tiger-like pattern was okay for the male Velociraptors, but it just doesn't work for the females from my point of view. I wish the 1993 pattern had been given to the Velociraptor 3D model as the basic pattern before Jurassic World Evolution had been released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2018 and when the original dies, the player can always incubate and release another one with the same skin pattern. I wonder why the designers who work for Frontier Developments didn't just go along with that.
I always headcannon the jp1 raptors as the female counter to the jp2 males and maybe the jp2 females switched genders cause they do have grog after all

The dull 1997 Patterns are females changing into males The tiger 1997 Tiger Raptors are the full Males. The 2001 Raptors could be illegal Dinosaur clones created by Henry Wu in secret, just like the Ceratosaurus, the Corythosaurus, the Ankylosaurus and the Spinosaurus were in Jurassic Park 3.
Does this game have a sandbox or a "free" mode that you could mezs around with without spending your stuff? I would like to learn the ropes for when i get it

It does have sandbox modes, although I am not sure if you need to unlock it first.
